Their broth is so complex and comforting, the ingredients are always fresh, and the space is well kept. The service staff are attentive and helpful. If you're only getting this for takeout, you're missing out. They make their own chili oil and my husband practically drinks it with his Banh mi. No other Vietnamese spot in Northeast Ohio comes close in my opinion. I live 30 mins away and am already making excuses to come back so I can eat here.

Pho Ever is a casual family-owned Vietnamese eatery in Lorain. My visit to this restaurant was not…read morepre-planned. I was in the area at the Lorain Library (main branch), and was craving a cozy meal. Pho Ever had a catchy name and was only a few minutes away (drive). What's more cozy than pho? I made a quick and good decision to visit. AMBIANCE: The restaurant is one open space simple cultural decor. The space well fits groups and single guests. Multiple comfy booths are available along one of the walls and there are plenty of tables. Decor includes Nón Lá (Vietnamese conical hats) around the perimeter of the restaurant, vases and flowers, wood carved rooster art, prosperity wall hanging with laughing Buddhas, and other decor typical of Asian restaurants. There is also a blue sky ceiling fragment. The atmosphere is very simple and casual. The restaurant is not the cleanest. That includes the floor, the bathrooms, the tables, and teapots. Everything could use a deep clean. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu features appetizers, rice plates, vermicelli stir-fry, pho, fried rice, ramen noodles, combination plates, and optional add-ons. Drinks were not on the menu. There are few pictures of the menu items to point you in the right direction. Each dish has alphanumeric value for simple ordering. I noticed that the prices are pretty value-oriented less than many other comparable restaurants. I ordered my default Vietnamese restaurant order - pho, rolls, and hot tea. More specifically, A3 (2 charbroiled pork rolls, $5), A4 (charbroiled chicken rolls, $5), P3 (pho with eye round steak and well-done brisket, $14), and jasmine tea ($2 for a tea pot). Rolls had a generous amount of meat. I loved pork rolls, but didn't like the chicken. I found it to be too dry. I did not use the accompanying sauces since spice is not my favorite. Pho included a large portion, plenty of meat, but the broth had some slightly lemony undertone that wasn't my favorite. Jasmine tea was perfectly hot and light. It was a very comforting meal due to hot tea and hot pho. I also loved that the food was delivered with a pouch with chopsticks, fork, spoon, and big spoon for pho. SERVICE: The service was very pleasant, quick, and accommodating. There was one waiter serving quickly filling dining room. He was excellent and very attentive! I was seated very quickly. My food impressively arrived within minutes. All other guests had all their questions answered with patience. Huge compliments on the service! The restaurant was extremely accommodating to groups. They expeditiously moved tables together for large dinner groups. I was at the restaurant before 6 PM and the restaurant was already almost full with more people pulling into the parking lot. It seems like it's a popular local destination. PARKING: There is plenty of parking available to customers. Dedicated parking lot rather than shared plaza arrangement. My experience was pretty positive. I was especially impressed with the excellent service. It wasn't the best Vietnamese food that I experienced, but pretty good for a casual Sunday meal. While I wouldn't go out of my way to travel here, I'd definitely stop in while in the area.

I liked how much food you got and how you had a few options to choose from. Food: * pineapple passion mojito - 5/5 absolutely DELICIOUS. It was a perfect drink to have with dinner. It was light and refreshing with just enough sweetness. * chicken and pork bao - 4/5 super yummy! I actually liked the pork more than the chicken. It was almost like a buttery taste. It was soft and the meat just fell apart. The chicken was good too but was more on the tough side, probably because it was fried. * spicy beef ramen - 5/5 I will absolutely be back to get this again. Just the right level of spice. All the ingredients were fresh, well made, and delicious. It's the type of food that you can't help eating more of even though you're beyond full. * crispy chicken ramen - 3.5/5 This was still a good choice! I loved the chicken in it. I think this is a very safe choice for anyone who might be on the more picky side. The broth was good but not spicy. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place! There are so many options and there is something for everyone to try.

When getting carried out they packed the ingredients separately from the broth which I loved. We got the spicy on the side and I was so glad we did because in my opinion it packed heat. The spicy is like chili crunch oil . Prices were average , I believe probably on par with other ramen spots . My husband teriyaki tom broth has a delicate thickness to it. We both said both broths felt rushed. They weren't really savory and tasted bland, and underdeveloped. It has a good beginning/starting flavor but should have shimmered longer. Not the best ramen or worst ramen. Simply in the middle. We ordered carry out so I can't speak to the service or overall atmosphere. The restaurant was clean inside and front cashiers were nice! We also ordered the creme brûlée Thai tea it was delicious!!!

As long as it tastes warm and comforting, I'll be fine. And even then, the ramen here exceeded my expectations (in the bad direction). I'm not someone who craves ramen that often but this evening was chilly and I was looking for something broth-y. I figured I would give this shop a try. I was seated very quickly and was able to order within minutes. The price for the miso ramen seemed pretty reasonable, and it's my ramen of choice when I do eat it, so I figured I'd give it a try. I knew it wouldn't be a "traditional" bowl as the toppings listed were definitely out of the norm and mentally I was fine with that. I'm open to nontraditional toppings as long as everything tastes good. As soon as I took a bite, I was severely disappointed. The noodles honestly tasted like the type you get out of an instant noodle pack. The broccoli was hard and definitely not cooked all the way. And the soup had a strange taste that I can't quite describe, but definitely isn't normal for ramen. Again, I'm not a ramen snob--I've eaten lots of bowls of ramen at all sorts of restaurants (albeit in LA) and they've all tasted fine to me. But this was actually inedible. I was starving and had to eat something, so I just picked out all of the noodles and some of the corn and honestly left the rest of it in the bowl. I feel a little bad giving this place such a low rating, as the workers were nice enough, and it's not like I got sick, and maybe their other food is much better. But I really can't give this place a higher rating than I'm giving it because it truly was an inedible bowl of ramen. Sorry, Otani.

Two page menu gave plenty of options, but it wasn't overkill like many Chinese food menus. Red curry w/ jasmine rice I ordered the Pineapple fried rice, which was delicious, w/ chicken veggies & curry & a zero spice level. Others tried: Vegetable stir fry w/ white Jasmine rice on side (spice level 1) & Yellow curry veggie (delish) with rice on side (spice level 2), & Red Curry veggie w/ rice (level 3/5). It was nice you can pick level of spice on any dish. The level 2&3 was too much for me, 1 woulda been perfect. Servers were very polite & very much on it. We sat over 2 hrs & they refilled drinks the whole time. The prices were probably in range w/ other Thai places but a tad high ($16 for ours) if I compare to a fast casual Mexican or Chinese which give just as much portion.

I took the recommendation of our server on dish and chose a nice spicy curry and was not disappointed. While it was not as spicy as I would have hoped, he told me how to order it hotter the next time. The flavor combinations and the depth of flavor was so amazing. Are crab Rangoon has outdone every other crab Rangoon I've ever had. At this point, I could name other places where I thought their crab Rangoon was amazing... And at this point they no longer even hold a candle. A nice hearty crab chunks mixed in with the cream cheese sauce and filling, and it's just to die for. The dessert of the sticky rice with mango was sweet and thick and filling and just rich beyond description. The lighting is soft and easy in the eyes, the colors on the walls are pleasant and pink and oranges and brown purples, sounds a pleasant to listen to everybody cooking in the music, while faster and hip-hop was not distracting. I quite enjoyed listening to it, listening to Thailand versions of American hits. It was quite an enjoyable experience all around. We look forward to coming back.

It's primely located on Lorain Ave with a decent amount of street parking around, and usually decently busy at dinner times. The dining room is ample with a view of the open kitchen which provides some level of hope. However, hope diminishes as the time between sitting down and getting the menu to a staff member bringing water or taking your order extends. The menu really isn't too long and the main decision is whether you're feeling a bowl of steaming noodles or a rice bowl, and whether you're hungry enough to indulge in apps like the bao or kimchi balls. The Pork Bao used to be a reliable taster in anticipation of the entree with a more interesting flavor blending sesame, soy and hoisin, but more recently it tastes like someone took leftover pulled pork from a weekend BBQ and slapped it in a rice bun. The Kimchi Balls are nice, with a satisfying crunch to them, but quite heavy if you're getting more than one. Good ramen broth is a labor of love, but it shouldn't take 30+ minutes to receive ramen at a restaurant dedicated to ramen. Even more disappointing is when it's just average ramen, salty without the savory umami kick that an enjoyable bowl delivers. The added egg ($1.50) does come perfectly jammy and the noodles have a comforting chew, but both are cool temperature wise and detract from the heartiness of the noodle bowl. I found myself gulping down water to offset the saltiness of the food, but the staff, though very pleasant, seemed too overwhelmed to come back and refill the water when our flask was empty. Will probably not be returning for the barely average ramen with other good noodle soup options in existence.
