Oh my gosh!!!!!!! Eeeerrrrr, this is our second and last time relying on Yelp in France. I really wanted something YUMMY to go home talking about when it comes to food, but never got it....I hoped this was the place, but it was not. So, I should have called after being disappointed once before, but I really thought that was a fluke.....it is not. Damn! I really wanted to eat here!!!!! We researched. Found this. Walked several miles to it. And discovered it is closed until August 30. Bummer. People, CALL before you go!!!!!! I learned the hard way.

We wanted dessert after our dinner and we found this place. Even though they didn't have a lot of reviews we gave it a shot. The crepes were amazing. Not overly sweet and the ice cream on top was one of the best we have ever tasted. They also serve savory crepes which I wish we got the chance to try.

Great food and service! Sitting downstairs was the best experience, and this was our first restaurant in Paris.

For the savory ones, we had the Popeye, which contained cheese and spinach, and the Hamburger, which had hamburger meat and burger sauce.

Pierre Hermé If you…read moreknow Pierre Hermé from social media and all the viral videos, then this review needs no introduction. But if you haven't, this is a strong contender for worthy macarons in Paris and at a convenient location across the street from Ladurée. Located inside L'Occitane in the most gorgeous floor space ever, you will find Pierre Hermé at the center of it all. They have an impressive array of flavors that were much more unique than other patisseries. I definitely asked for a few recommendations as well since I tend to order the same thing (pistachio, raspberry, lemon, etc.) The workers were very kind. They indulged my request to converse in French and corrected me in a respectful and endearing way (I know some people get upset at this idea but I personally prefer it.) I had ordered a dozen macarons but truthfully would've ordered the entire lot if I wasn't alone and especially if I wasn't already taking a ton of sweets back for my flight home. I am a Ladurée purist and what I can say is that Pierre Hermé definitely had the best and most unique flavors compared to the two. The prices are fairly comparable and the coffrets are just as tasteful. Both are strong contenders and worthy of your money. I certainly will be returning and look forward to trying the rest of their selection. (15/50--2025)

Pierre Hermé is home to some of the best macarons I've had in my life -- which is probably too many for the good of my health -- and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the macarons, the staff's attention to detail, and all the unique flavors this shop had to offer. As a popular macaron shop in one of the hottest tourist destinations in Paris, this location is undeniably crowded. There's usually a huge line circling around a central display of macaron after macaron. The line looks pretty intimidating, but it moves quite quickly, and there are so many flavors that it'll probably be helpful to have a bit of extra time to review the menu. My friend and I split a pack of four macarons, including their seasonal isapahan (rose, lychee, raspberry), infiniment praliné pistache, and a jardin de cassandre (red currant, rhubarb). The macarons were delightful. I loved the two seasonal items; they were delightfully fruity and slightly floral, and I loved the slightly tangy flavor from the raspberry in the isapahan and rhubarb / currants in the jardin de cassandre. The praliné pistache was nice and nutty, and the inner cream offered a great additional richness. It's usually super crowded so seating tends to be quite limited. My friend and I ended up taking our macarons to go and enjoyed them elsewhere as we toured Champs Elysée.

I immediately knew I was in the right place when we arrived - the cafe appeared as if it were in a snapshot from another era. From the window, I spotted an impressive display of jewel-toned jellied fruits and a coffee counter where you could purchase fresh beans and jams. The cozy seating area had a few tables set close together, and we were fortunate to be seated at the last open table. I ordered the cafe au lait, and my mom ordered the cafe glacé. The cafe au lait was brought out in an espresso mug and a pot of steamed milk - this way, you could add the desired amount of milk to your espresso. The espresso tasted smooth, and the milk was whipped to the perfect cloud-like consistency. I also tried a sip of my mom's cafe glacé, which was sweet and refreshing (the iced option also comes with a side of simple syrup). As a finishing touch, each beverage was delivered with a small square of chocolate. While pricier than a coffee at a typical cafe, this was one of the best cafe au lait I have ever tasted and worth every Euro. After savoring our coffee, we tried a few of the jellied fruits, which were sweet as honey and very decadent. We agreed that this was one of the coolest coffee experiences, as it truly felt like taking a journey back in time.

It's a very cozy shop like most Parisian restaurants so be prepared to sit inches next to your neighbor. My husband ordered the cafe allonge (Americano) which was served with a double shot of espresso and hot water on the side. I ordered a noisette (macchiato) which was perfect and beautifully made. Since it was the first bite of the day, he ordered the slice of toasted brioche with butter and homemade jam, while I ordered the bread basket with butter and jam. Their jam was amazing and grape I think, based on the seeds, color, and light taste. The butter was served warm with one small baguette of white and a square ciabatta roll that tasted like wheat. They sell jams, honey, cookies, coffee beans, and teas to go, and are in no hurry to rush you out of there. Enjoy the drinks, relax, and take your time.
