After reading and hearing good things about this place for years, I finally tried it. The lady and I walked up to the counter to order after observing the menu. Based off the lack of interaction with employees up until this point, I had a feeling the service was going to be mediocre. The lady ordered a coffee and the bagel and lox. I ordered the berry blend smoothie and the spicy Greek crepe. I am typically not a fan of crepes and usually just like to try a bite of someone else's lol, but I figured I would give this place a shot. The verdict is... I am still not a fan of crepes. The insides were ok, eggs were over cooked and the overall taste wasn't spicy. The sausage was good. The lady tried to bite her bagel and lox, but she said it was hard as a rock, lol. I offered to go say something but she refused. Service was mediocre as I predicted. Food was mediocre. The lady was ok with her coffee. She mentioned it was a little too sweet. However! my smoothie was good. 2 stars for the drinks, I suppose. I must say, later in the evening, the lady was not feeling right and ended up vomiting. The vomit was the same color as the salmon (lox) and she did not have much to eat later in the day besides tater tots and a burger slider. When I come back to Salem to visit family from Southern California, this is my go to coffee spot. I typically order their drip coffee always a good roast profile on the lighter side imo the way coffee should be roasted. I also like their cold brew. I've never tried the food but I hear it is good and the establishment is always packed. The customer service is good, and you can tell they are on their toes in this place. Plenty of seating inside and some outside, with a convenient drive thru. read more

Their crepes are one of the first dishes I had to go to since Salem has started easing restrictions out of COVID-19. We got two crepes: Emilie's Love Crepe and the Berry Crepe. The freshness of the fruit in the Berry Crepe stood out to me. It's an extra $1 but I would highly recommend to get these to add to the crepe. In the Emilie's Love Crepe, the crunchiness of the peanuts and chocolate chips complimented the soft, warm chocolate sauce and banana texture. My sister wanted to come here for her birthday because she found it online and wanted to go someplace new and different. It was good and bad. First of all, it's run like a coffee shop, but has far too extensive of a menu for that and should be run more like a restaurant. The problem with seating is that at coffee shops you get one person taking up a 4 or 6 top and think nothing of it. At a restaurant those tables are saved for larger groups. We were able to find 2 tables near eachother outside (but with all the traffic noise that's not where my mom wanted to be). So I gather the orders and go to the counter. Not the friendliest or best at ringing up, but we got there. My biggest gripe on that was that I ordered a water, which apparently is self serve, but they didn't mention that and point that out to me. I had to ask when we finally got our drinks and was told then, but I would have already got that to my mom while I waited, you know, because she was thirsty. Then there's the wait. It took a very long time for 5 drinks, but rather than handing over a couple at a time they wait until they're all ready. I'm standing right here and if I'm going to serve myself then let's use some sense - I can't carry 5 large mugs filled to the brim all at once, plus open the door to get outside with just two hands. I grabbed my partner to help, but it was uncomfortable to carry. These aren't light or to-go cups people! Once again, no pleasantness to it. But then they actually serve your food, so it doesn't make sense not to serve the drinks to your table too. Anyway, after the sub-par service we were able to enjoy some wonderful drinks and delicious crepes. Thankfully they were all really good so this place at least does have that going for it! Some tried dessert, while we went with savory. They were all pretty well built and loaded up with good stuff. So the food is definitely worth checking out. The reason why drive-thrus work at places like Starbucks is because of their limited quick and easy menu. Now you've just made the parking lot a cluster of extremely rude people waiting in the lot for you to bring them their orders. I would do beverages only at the drive-thru. I didn't appreciate their rude customers when we're just trying to get out of the parking lot and they're blocking us in to wait. read more

Attractive setting with many separated tables for good chatting. Eating here leaves me feeling as if I were in France. Beginning with the best freshly made coffee served in a wide cup. If you add cream there will be a beautiful flowery design. The food is exceptionally good. A fruit parfait came in a bowl with the freshest Plump berries and thick yogart tasting as Devon cream. A chorizo crepe was fresh and spicy with a delicious sauce, beating by far any egg omelette or breakfast Tortilla. The crepe was thin but held up to its food. Strawberry crepe with fresh whipped cream at the corners with a lightly stuffed crepe made a full meal. You must accept that central ordering matched with delivery to the table was a bit slower than a typical USA rush to get it out. read more

Came with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised! Had an iced dirty chai which was pretty good! Definitely more on the spiced side (which is a plus) than other places that make theirs overly sweet. For crepes, we had a california(?) chicken crepe and their raspberry lemon cheesecake crepe. Both had plenty of fillings. The savory crepe had sun-dried tomatoes, avocado, feta cheese, & a basil dressing. The chicken was also cooked well and wasn't dry. The dessert crepe, according to my friend was overly sweet, but i thought it was well balanced as the raspberries and lemon were pretty tart. I'd definitely come again. We asked for powdered sugar and lemon but got big glops of melting thin fake tasting whip cream on plate also. None of the 3 of us could finish them. I have been coming to this place for a while. The food is always awesome. I have to take my hats off to the cooks and the serves. They can grind. The only reason there is not a 4 or 5 star is because the worker behind the coffee station had the worst attitude. I had asked a question and she completely ignored me and walked away. I was finally able to figure out which drink was mine and I said thank you for everything and working hard. She came back with a yep with no eye contact. Yuck! *I ordered a strawberry, banana and Nutella crepe with whipped cream and it was great until I tasted something like a custard inside. Unbelievably rude staff. Maps says this business opens at 6am but they open at 7am. Not a big deal. However I sat in the drive through from 6:45am until 7:10 without any acknowledgment. It's Tuesday Dec 21st. There was a girl with long dark hair who clearly glanced at me several times and acted like I wasn't even there. Also a man there too. Same attitude. He clearly saw me and ignored me. A group of people went in at 7 and they were waited in first so I left. I went down the street to Dutch Brothers. There I had a wonderful experience. Happy staff and fast and efficient. So if you out for morning coffee I highly recommend no passing this French Press place. They are rude and don't care to have decent manners. read more

Was here for a quick coffee date on a wet windy Thursday night around 7 PM. Place is very nice inside, i had passed by on Commercial for years and didn't expect it to be so comfortable and well decorated and lit inside. The servers were attentive and the latte i ordered was very good. Had the veggie crepe and that was nice also. Enjoyed the surroundings so much we didn't realize they were closing ! I haven't visited FP since before COVID and decided to take my grandson. I reviewed Yelp before returning there for breakfast and checked out prices from pics (2-4 months prior). I didn't look at menus & price when visiting based on online checking. Since the menu pics (2-4 months prior) the prices have gone up again anywhere from $1.30 to .25. I would have noticed this but wasn't given a receipt & called to asked for an email receipt. Talked to Nick and he was very helpful, pleasant & accommodating. Two years in a row my wife has got me coffee and a crepe on Father's Day. I asked her to get a "French pressed" coffee as the name of the business made it seem like they should have French pressed coffee. Sadly she was told sorry we don't actually offer that we sell French presses to use at home but don't actually brew our coffee that way. Even Starbucks has French Pressed Coffee if you ask for it. Went in with my kids the other day for a quick breakfast and drinks. They weren't very busy and we walked right up to the order counter. Placed the order and the kids went outside and grabbed a table while I waited for the drinks. About 15 minutes later my daughter came in and told me the food was at the table. I told her to eat while I waited for the drinks. About 10 minutes later my son came in and said they were done with their food. In the mean time I had received my drink. My daughters drink was finally ready but my sons took another 5 minutes. I was finally able to go eat but my food was cold by then. This was my first bad experience here so I'd normally cut them slack but there was no reason for the delay other than low staffing. I can only comment on the coffee. We stopped in for a John Law and a Let it Bee. The drinks came out quick and they were pretty good. We really loved the almond in the John Law and now I have been on a total almond syrup/milk fix ever since . The Let it Bee drink was good but maybe some cinnamon or nutmeg would make it even better. The crepes looked great but we didn't have time to grab food. The place is sleek and feels more like a bistro than a coffee shop. In a good way. The line moves quick and people are nice.
