Unprofessional, and unorganized..The 1st time my husband, and I went in one of the Ins brokers was pulling down her shirt to show off her tattoos, and the music was so loud, it felt like a nightclub. The 2nd time we went in, we changed policies, not too bad of an experience, except for the loud music again. The 3rd time I went in to add a car, we needed to change policies again. It took 3 hours, it was done wrong, the insurance company sent a letter said we were cancelled. I called Freeway, they said we weren't, then Freeway called my husband, and left a message saying we were cancelled!! Keep in mind we gave a $450 down payment, with another $150 pending withdraw a week later, and I DON'T KNOW IF WE'RE COVERED OR NOT! Oh and did I mention the loud music AGAIN.... read more

Let me tell you about these reps and the company. Before you sign and give them your star-up fees, everyone is very nice and friendly! But, once you return for any question or call and ask to speak, to your rep. forget it!!!!! Then they don't remember you were in, the other day, nor that you dropped $400.00 for the first month. Definitely filing a complaint I said, HOWEVER, I walked into the Downey office and Ozzie the Manager here took great care of our needs!! I am absolutely appalled by the service here. I opted to cancel my car insurance because I was promised a much lower rate. The insurance representative told me that I didn't need to sign papers to cancel my plan, I just needed to stop paying my fee. THIS WAS A BLATANT ATTEMPT TO SCAM ME FOR CANCELLATION FEES AND PENALTIES. I told him I wanted to sign a cancellation form and that I would keep a copy for my records and I saw his face turn blush immediately. He knew I caught onto his bullshit. I urge anyone and everyone to go elsewhere for car insurance. I received an even better rate at Mercury insurance which is much more reputable. read more

I saw decent reviews for this freeway insurance and decided to try them out. Called beforehand and explained I was interested in homeowners insurance and if they could give me a quote over the phone. The girl I spoke with, Maria, said I needed to come in to get a quote. So, I make an appointment. Show up on time and once again ask for a quote to which the agent there has no clue how to handle. NO ONE IN THE OFFICE HAD THE BRAINS TO DO IT. The agent then proceeds to write a phone number to someone in freeway that can help me. *sigh*. They couldn't give me this number over the phone? Was Maria, who I spoke with just senselessly saying "yes we can help, come in". Just to get me in there? You betcha! Even after this debacle was over with the sworn promise never to return, I decided to leave well enough alone. That is until I get a phone call from another clueless agent accusingly saying I missed my appointment at freeway in Downey and when they could expect me to come in. Oh, sometime after hell freezes over. For the record I like freeway insurance. Called another one in downtown L.A. and walked out with a new policy. Avoid the Downey freeway. They're irresponsible, clueless, incompetent and not worth your time and money. read more

I went in about one year ago.. i was promised one quote after a few months it was higher.not happy at all.

They charge for every single little change on the policy. They charged me $100 just to change cardholders, and another $100 to add in a person to my policy. At the end they charged me $331 for everything. Janette Ortiz, the agent that helped me, had told me that they would run my check until the week after i went so i had time to pick up my check but they ran it to early and sent my bank into negatives. They even added a random car to my insurance that has nothing to do with, and when I asked for full coverage they kept giving me liability insurance. Worst workers ever. I had contacted the receptionist, BERTHA to get a copy of my insurance card emailed to me, she wasn't in so they took a message. The person relating the message didn't tell her I needed it emailed so she printed it out for me. I couldn't make it down there in time which is why I asked for it emailed. When I called back because I hadn't received it, she gave me attitude about it being ready for pick up. The next day I had it printed & t was far too small so I called again & she AGAIN gave attitude about having already sent it. So I let her know I needed it blown up. Instead of being given the rub around I went down there myself to pick up the laminated copy. I walk in, & I think they were all in a meeting because they just stared at me like an idiot. Not one person said hello to me, they were all sitting in one corner. FINALLY one guy stands up after breathing deeply for whatever inconvenience I caused him. I tell them my name & what I was there for & after rolling her eyes at me, She gives me a printed out copy instead of the marinated one. This is already the second time I have a horrible experience with this location, I cannot believe it.
