I've been using Hammer Insurance for my car insurance brokerage needs since 2017. From mid 2017-late 2020 I never missed a payment. Due to the effects of the Pandemic, my coverage lapsed. I was unable to reinstate and when I went to the Hammer in a different city, they hit me with sky high numbers because of a parking lot fender bender that left scratches on a door. Itself gave me a call from El Monte a few days later, and tweaked the write up just enough so that while laying less then 10 dollars more I was able to get on the road with more then minimum coverage. I called on Monday May 8th 2017 to cancel my insurance policy. I called again on May 15th 2017 to make sure my policy was cancelled and my account wouldn't be charged and Angie (very rude girl over the phone) told me it wasn't cancelled. Then she proceeded to tell me that I had to give a 10 day notice (just checked my papers and it says it's a 7 day notice, which it was), she was extremely rude, and said I would be charged $30 to cancel my policy (I was never informed of that). They are now giving me a hard time to cancel and are processing unauthorized payments with my account. It's not the first problem I have had with them. Do not come here. You are better off going to any other insurance broker in El Monte or even going to Geico (it's actually a lot cheaper and you avoid all these broker fees) If I could give 0 stars I definitely would, they don't even deserve one star. read more

On 9/15/15 first gave my business to hammer insurance for a renters policy due to the efficiency of Ramiro and numerous company they work with made it quick and simple with all the right coverages landlord asked for thanks to him I was able to move in right away thank you man. On November same year decided to give him my auto business ass I was not happy with all state and their outrageous rates got me into foremost high coverages low deductibles affordable rate had a claim not to long ago called him as it was the first time I was involved in an accident quickly filed claim with me on the line made sure company pick up my call it turns out I had farmers but any who got me into a rental didn't pay for towing as all that was in my policy.unfortunately I will be moving up north in December but already plan to give my homeowner policy to Ramiro and hammer insurance I have not paid a down payment to renew none of my policies as he said I wouldn't back before Allstate had freeway and Adriana's for a couple of years and always had to pay extra every single year i can't speak in behalf of everyone but if you ask questions you'll get answers I Am very happy with services here.the only reason I posted here is because my renewal came for renters and sure enough it's been a year and exact amount I was told would pay last year is what's on my contract to renew thank you Ramiro read more

My sister, my mom and I all had Hammer insurance and it was absolutely horrible. We all cancelled it. They had the worst customer service I've ever experienced. No one ever gets back to you, they are very rude, constantly make mistakes and refuse to fix those mistakes. Also don't ever get autopay because they always make mistakes with it. read more

I could give them credit for the first time I was there. Nice and friendly. Long story short I contact my insurance company and they needed me to come by the broker office to sign a paper.(this was very important since my policy was cancel after making a payment). Came by the first visit only one agent with a customer. No greet,No how can I help you, No I'll be with you, Nada!!!!! Right away I notice it was gonna take longer than expected. So I waited. I had my impatience 2 year old with me he was loud, crying, etc and still the agent didn't even look at me or ask me if I was there just for a payment or something. Since my 2 year old was loud I thought she was gonna at least ask me how can I help u but no. After 45 minutes of waiting I had to leave. Came the next day and the other agent(Angie) was there with a customer this time i had to interrupt cause I didn't wanted to wait more than an hour just to sign a paper.(that paper they gave me the wrong one to sign) I nicely told her I was there to sign a paper. Clear,attitude, and loud in front of customer said "He's just making a payment" I heard the customer giggle!!!! So guess what I did contact my insurance company they said the broker send them what i sign but its the wrong document, I explain them about the broker rudeness that I was not gonna go back there. Thankfully the insurance company HAMMER gave me i was able to solve my problem through them i dont need to be going back and forth to tbe brokers office. It's upsetting when Hammer insurance broker fees are $200 and up and we pay for this service and what we get after is bad service!! read more
