This insurance IS THE WORST, I wish I read the reviews before going to them. I was in a car accident 9/13, I filed a claim the following morning. My car was taken to a storage lot out in Sherman Oaks because that's where my car accident was and I live in East La, so that was the best location to my car at the time being, when I filed my claim, I was told, an adjuster will contact you and will go GET YOUR CAR FROM THE STORAGE LOT AND HAVE IT TOWED( because I told her it's a total loss for sure) to THIER STORAGE LOT, SHOULD NOT TAKE LONGER THAN 48hrs. Okay everything sounds good so far. Then comes Monday, I start to follow up with my advisor, no answer, calls me back later that day to take my statement, I was driving so he said he'd call me back in 15 mins. I don't hear from him till Wednesday, that's already passing 48hrs, I finally give my statement, then he says okay we're gonna go pick up your car after you sign the release form, I already signed it immediately after filing the claim the day after the car accident, these people waited on purpose, come FRIDAY, the tow truck company contacts the owner of the storage lot that they're gonna go pick up the car at 2:45, this means that the insurance already contacted the tow truck company so that's why they contacted the storage owner, the storage owner calls the tow company saying hey it's 2:45 are you guys gonna come? The tow company said no because FRED LOYA DECIDED TO CANCEL THE PICK UP DUE TO EXCESSIVE CHARGES, the owner found that to be strange. I was told by FL that if I want my car out of there I need to pay out of pocket the difference, THATS RIDICULOUS. So 9/20/24 my car was deemed a total loss officially. Why I'm I BARELY GETTING A PHONE CALL FROM VERONICA 10/4 saying that my car is totaled and she is emailing me the paperwork, remind you the deadline is 10/14 but I'm barely being sent the email on 10/4 when my car was deemed total loss since 9/20. I spoke to owner of storage lot and he's willing by to renegotiate with them so they can pick up my car but he knows what they're doing, they're trying to low ball him and screw me over, so when speaking to VERONICA, she says, "oh I see your car hasn't been picked up from the storage lot." I told her yeah that's the dilemma I'm having with you guys, she then catches an attitude with me saying that it's my fault, that the owner is charging ridiculous fees such as $250 for sending a letter, I told her well he just wants to renegotiate with you guys do give him a call, she says NO! You do that! I said excuse me? Why? This is why I pay FULL COVERAGE MONTHLY, you guys are my insurance, you guys are suppose to protect me and fight for me to make things go smoother at all costs, this LADY STRAIGHT UP TOLD ME, NO! We're not your attorney, we're not this and that, we are just your insurance ONLY, I couldn't believe what I was hearing from VERONICA, I did not want to continue going back and fourth with her so I just said okay, knowing that I've already filed a complaint with the department of insurance and I just took note of what she said because I am being treated WRONG! She's an ADJUSTER, you're suppose to NEGOTIATE FOR A BETTER PRICE POINT , it's LITERALLY IN YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION! I didn't tell her that though because again, I'm not gonna continue to stress myself out over this pathetic scamming company that call themselves an auto insurance, I was stressed out like I've never been in my life the whole week after my car accident dealing with Fred Loya, so I had to tell myself, I will not stress myself out anymore over them, at the end of the day it's all gonna get resolved ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. So after I hung up with Veronica, I called the storage owner and told him about the conversation Veronica and I had, when I told him about the $250 letter charge, he said SHES LYING! HE HAS NOTES AND PROOF THAT SHES LYING. This is just insane to me that I'm going through all this because of this insurance. read more

Fred Loya has inaccurate information in their Computers!! They made me waste Gas Money & Time. I had to go to DMV to get Proof of Driving History. They would only give me 3 years History. Fred Loya was requesting ever since I got Drivers license. They told me they would accept DMV printout or Old Drivers License?!?! Apparently, the Worker told me he would not take my Government Issued ID?!?! After all that running around....making me Waste Time, Gas, & Money with this Bad Economy....They should have Re-imbursed me my Gas Money!! Apparently the dude said yes....they take Old Drivers License???? I went back & they said NO?!?! Huge Dissappointment & they could have had my Business for Years to Come!! There LOSS!! This company doesn't even deserve 1 star . My car was parked and the car in front of me got hit by a drunk driver with no license or insurance , causing damage to my car as well . From the beginning of my claim it has been rude agent after rude agent . Not only that but everyone one of them has asked me to do their job for them . The first one asked me to go to the police station to get the report for him , this will speed your process up he said . The second one told me we were going through the persons whose car was hit and then hit me so I was asked to go get the persons information . Then the 3rd one calls back after me calling her 3 times . She tells me something completely different that since the person who hit the car in front of me has no insurance we need to go through my collision insurance . She calls the next day to ask me the same questions like she never started any process . Then I'm given the other adjusters number so I can call him and ask him when he will be going to see the car because she doesn't know this information. This is 5 days after the accident . Still nothing has been done . The agents sound like it's their first day and worse day put together . Every call sounded like I was disturbing them , those recorded calls obviously are not being monitored or Fred loya has very low standards for customer service . Then comes the worse part . My car was claimed a total loss . There was minimal damage but the adjuster claims it will be more than the car is worth. Since I'm still paying it off the way they do it is they will give you an amount take their $500 deductible and then keep your car . In total I did nothing and lost my car after making my payments and insurance I end up loosing the car and giving a perfectly working car to this screwed up company. They didn't even give me a rental . The adjusters prices are ridiculous they will go whatever way they can screw you in the worse way . I would've been better off not puting in a claim . read more

I'm very disappointed with this insurance company received my statement Rates increase for no reason .. Call the office I sign up to and said state allow an increase that didn't gave me an explanation... So call customer service spoke to a representative name Hilda her explanation was not what I was expecting, she stated that the increase is done because maybe they had a lot of claims on my area and that affects my policy.. The state allow them to increase.. I explain to her I have been a great driver and had no accidents or tickets why would I be affected by other people's records.. she stated that was their policy.. I reply to punish everyone even if they're good drivers. She said that's the way it is .. I told her you guys do not want to retain good customers & she reply yes but you welcome to look for another carrier.. Shouldnt even be allowed to have 1 star. This company is a joke! Worst at customer service. Do yourself a favor and do not get involved. First off calling to a certain location and them not answering within 3 rings will automatically transfer the call to another office. This is beyond stupid because if you where already being help by someone at one office and you call back and get someone else from a different office how in the F*UK are you suppose to know who the hell helped you out? I got into an accident and had called the claims department. Went in the same day to get photos taken at the Gardena office. First off my adjuster was switched without an acknowledgement or courtesy call. Second it took more than 3 days for the adjuster to call me or get any information. I was the one calling trying to give my information so I can speed up the process. I got tired of waiting and kept getting the run around as to the estimate to get my car fixed and how long it would take. A week after all of that I get a call from someone at Fred Loya stating I still show in their system I didn't take the car into the office so they can get pictures *ARE YOU F*KING KIDDING ME*. I was so upset and ask them to check the system again, and all they told me was to call my adjuster and make sure. Surely I called to see WTF was going and he said he did see that note and was going to remove it. At this point 2 weeks passed and I just said you know what cancel the whole claim. I made a payment for my monthly premium OCT. 24 which my payments are due on the 25th. I went in on OCT. 26 and cancelled the whole policy because I was beyond unsatisfied with the customer service and concern from the adjuster. Even though I had paid that month I was told I had to be charged a $50 cancellation fee which will be deducted from the payment I made and what ever the remaining balance was I will be reimbursed. Today 10/31 I received a letter that was dated OCT. 24 stating my policy will be cancelled on NOV. 3 due to failure in payment AGAIN are you F*KING KIDDING ME???!!! I made the payment that day and it shows on my bank statement I was ducted that amount. I am glad I left Fred Loya. I DO NOT recommend this insurer for ANYONE. read more
