If I could give more stars, I would! I just want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for Jonathan Maratty at Cost-U-Less Insurance / Freeway Insurance in Downey. From the moment of our phone call, Jonathan treated me and my mom with such kindness, respect, and genuine care. He took the time to truly understand our needs and patiently walked us through every step of the process. Thank you so much, Hector Martinez for taking such good care of all my ins needs. We're driving safe again.

If I can put 0 stars I would I do NOT recommend you coming here with them customer service is the worst here had so many issues with customer service very disrespectful employees and I got hung up on the phone which is very disrespectful of them. Mind you every time I had to add a vehicle it was $50 and to remove a vehicle $50 so if you get a new car and want to add your new car and remove your old one just know your going to have to pay $100 just for that change which is ridiculous. The only time they wanted to fix the issue with us is because we finally put our foot down and decided to leave freeway and go to AAA which I am so happy we did we pay much less than we did with freeway. If I were you I'd pick auto insurance anywhere but with freeway read more

Wonderful customer service! Stephen R was very helpful throughout the whole process. I would recommend it friends and family

I gotta say this place is amazing. Every interaction I've had with any employee here has been very pleasant. Especially with Heidi. She has been so extremely helpful with helping me find new car insurance after being in a car accident. I felt like I don't know what to do and was nervous and stressed about it all but she has truly rid me of so many worries. She's incredibly professional, kind, and extremely good at her job. She made everything so easy. It almost feels too good to be true but it is in fact true. I had to renew my insurance recently and Heidi being the pinnacle perfection was able to find me a deal so good that I still can't believe it's real. It felt like I was dreaming. I really did not expect this place to be so helpful but I am very glad I called. read more

At first it was so fast and easy until an extra payment I was unaware off came through. They lie to hook you up, then get you afterwards. Get a different insurance! Totally worth it. read more

Just got off the phone with Oscar. He was patient and understanding and got me through the process with ease. He answered each and every one of my questions without any complaint or arrogance. It's hard to find what I consider the bare minimum in customer service nowadays, but Oscar's help was a breath of fresh air. Recommending Freeway to all my friends and family from now on. read more

Freeway Insurance - Auto Insurance Near Me - Downey, California

This place is a a scam I paid $1600 fin full or six months of coverage. They continue to bill you making up reasons saying if you don't pay them it will go into collections . Also when I called they said they only received a payment of 700 from me which means they scammed me out of 900 dollars. I will be calling my bank and reporting this as fraud the agent who scammed me was Johnny Saravia. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE THEY WILL SCAM YOU! read more

I had a terrible experience with their customer service. I took out a policy for my car yesterday but canceled it the next business day as I had already returned the car. When I called to cancel, the representative (Jessica )sent me a cancellation paper which I signed. Later, she called me again and said that she had sent me another paper to my email and needed my signature. I was driving at that time and didn't have a good connection, so I asked her about the paper. However, she told me that she didn't have time to answer my questions and had to leave. I believe that if someone can't deal with customers, they should not take a job that requires them to do so. It was an unpleasant and insecure experience for me. read more

So I've had a lot of trouble in the past with insurance companies and it has been a hassle especially when setting up banking information. Marco Munoz was very helpful and patient with all the questions I had. He also kept in contact to make sure I was satisfied with everything. He has great customer service and is very knowledgeable in his field. Thank you again for everything. read more

I recently moved back to LA area and my rates went up. So I called my sales rep to confirm if better rates were available. Marco and Richard went above and beyond to help me find better rates (cut my payments almost in half!!!), and took it even further by being able to find a way to provide a discounted initial payment to the new carrier. As a single mom looking for every way to save a dollar, situations like this are deeply appreciated. They weee both so informative and helpful. I will definitely recommend all my friends and family reach out to reassess what they're paying for their auto insurance policies. read more

Okay so about 3 months ago I was in a car accident and had some shitty ass car insurance that I paid a ton of money for. I was in the look for a good insurance I called this place up and a nice lady I think her name was Elizabeth answered and she was just the kindest, she answered all of my questions and gave me amazing quotes! And by the look of all of the other yelp post she's amazing! If you ever read this, thanks Elisabeth for your help! read more

The staff is super friendly and helpful. They were able to lower my monthly payments. I would highly recommend!

Jasmine not sure how u spell her name but she honestly needs to learn how to be respectful and learn how to talk to ppl and be professional with her client and not Swear and call ppl names and be in her cell phone while helping out on insurance she was more on her cell phone then helping me out with questions had a bad attitude get upset and rolls her eyes at me for asking her a question and she's not professional at all she needs to get fired or more working skills that she does not have.. read more

Literally the worst type of customer service you can have, there's 3 severely overweight lazy workers here..... 2 guys : 1) glasses thinks he's funny because the way he replied was trying to be "FUNNY" smirking saying sorry for the wait however it was very unapologetic of him and you can hear the demeanor of his actions weren't at all sorry. While trying to pay my policy he told me to walk around to get store or ask the nutrition store for cash, like why would this not be addressed on the phone when asked if I can make a payment at this location. What makes this location a DISCRIMINATORY STORE is the fact that the Bearded, Teletubie with light brown hair started to talk about me (a client) while I WAS STILL THERE IS BEYOND ME....... & to think I wouldn't understand or hear baffled me. & Teletubie #2 with the glasses is engaging in a conversation also INSULTING A CLIENT is wild . Definitely save yourself from any headache these people will give you. read more

On Thursday January 21, 2021 I stepped into this location around 4:00 pm. A young man (FREEEWAY INSURANCE REPRESENTATIVE) sitting on the front right desk "assisted" and lied to my face about my current car insurance (issued by Freeway Insurance). In a nutshell; my insurance was canceled because they had the wrong account and contact number. This young man said that the program my policy was under was canceled and that nothing could be done, then said not to worry that he was going to help me and layered his weak sales persuasive speech with crap. I have work in the sales industry long enough to smell unethical salespeople and smelled his dishonorable work ethic. I had recently purchase insurance coverage almost three months ago and paid a $300 downpayment and this boy was trying to have me pay another $300 in two arranged payments LMFAO. I heard all his lies about why there was no way FREEWAYINSURANCE could reinstate my current car insurance and when I questioned why, and why I had to lose my previously paid $300 he said to me " Why you have to be like that, you are not going to get no where like that". I got on the phone with corporate and drove to the actual location where my insurance was initially purchased. (Initial purchase was done over the phone at Compton Location) At the location in Campton 1210 N. Long Beach Blvd Agent Carmen and Assistant Manager Pedro Bernal were able to provide true and ethical customer service. Corporate advised that I had 30 days after cancelation day to reinstate my insurance policy, time period that i was still under to do so. Pedro and Carmen confirmed that with me, updated the correct info in their system and took my monthly payment plus a service fee and penalty fee (penalty fee that I still question since the mistake was from their end) all under $150. Im deeply thankful and satisfy with Pedro and Carmen for doing the right thing, most of us have been impacted by COVID and are struggling. $300 is $300 during this time and any other time. Someone once told me that Selling is what a Salesperson does, I agree! However I am a Successful sales person and had build an amazing clientail! One of my methods of achievement; HONESTY! To that Young boy From FREEWAY INSURANCE at Downey CA. location; Hey Bruh! use a better line than "You'll Never Get Anywhere" Guess where I got to: I got to write this review on your shitty attempt of sales and service and also got my car insurance re activated! Thought you said they had canceled that program,of course you lied! To The Manager of this boy! What kind of training you deliver to your team? P.S I would give you guys a Zero Star Review but Yelp is kind enough to not let me do so. Shout Out to Pedro and Carmen from the Campton Location read more

I wish I could rate this place 50 stars! Steve (great personality with an even better Brooklyn accent) and his underwriter Richard were quick, knowledgable, honest and attentive. I worked with Vanessa Ortiz vanessa.ortiz@freewayinsurance.com at this location. I had the absolute worse experience with her. I should have known by how pushy she was being from the start. I really needed insurance ASAP and the price that she was offering wasn't that bad. The down payment was crazy but the payments weren't that bad. We talked about a certain document that I needed, Vanessa let me know it was included and that they would send it to the DMV for me once we completed everything. She said if I added my bank information my payments would be $5 cheaper so I gave her my bank info.. Come to find out she never entered my bank information and instead put the auto pay on my credit card without my permission. A few weeks later I get a letter from the DMV saying my license was going to be suspended since they never got the form that was needed. I called Vanessa back and all she said was "I don't recall." We had talked about it so many times because that was the most important thing.. but she didn't know anything about it and started getting really rude with me. She said it would be $1 to add her and why do I have to pay for this if it was supposed to be added already. Her response was "It's $25 now" and I asked why? Vanessa continued to say "Since you have a problem with the $1 is now $25". I couldn't believe what she was saying and rude she was being. She was just being so NASTY. I said please add the form and send it to the DMV, I'm going through a lot in my life right now and I just need this taken care of. Vanessa's response was "You aren't the only one going through things in Life" and hung up on me!!!! It was all so horrible... I called back twice (323-503-9896) and she finally picked up.. I begged her to help me with this form and after some time she took my payment for the $1, added the form and said it would be electronically sent to the DMV. It's been a week and a half, I go to the DMV (because I now have to pay $55 to reinstate my license) and the form is still not on file. I'm SOL now. Apparently when I called the insurance company on 7/2/2021 to cancel my card on file, they canceled my whole policy. At this point I'm happy they canceled the policy. Thank god I found someone that can really help me. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE AND STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM Vanessa Ortiz vanessa.ortiz@freewayinsurance.com 323-503-9896. She's pure EVIL!! I feel sorry for her. I wish I could give them ZERO. read more

After my 1 year policy was up, they autobilled me for a renewal TRIPLE the price. Trying to cancel the policy and refunded was a nightmare. They connected me with Western General insurance, which is a company that doesn't talk to their customers directly, only through the agents from insurance brokers. None of the agents at Freeway insurance would help me cancel my policy, everyone was passing the buck and telling me to talk to someone else. I had to make a big stink with Western General to get them to cancel my policy with me directly because no insurance broker would do it on my behalf. Earlier this year Western General went out of business and has some type of settlement case going on. Save yourself a headache and AVOID FREEWAY INSURANCE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE AND USE ANOTHER COMPANY!! read more

Amazing experience. Elizabeth Felix is amazing at what she does and she was very thorough with what type of policy I was receiving. This Review is for Samuel Galdamez Insurance Agent. I just want to say thank you for educating me on the type of coverages there is for vehicles and thank you for your time. Sometimes I can be a little hostile but I think it was because I had a bad week or something which is not your fault you're just trying to make sure I'm insured. As a matter of fact so attentive with your sincere customer service made my day and I just want to say thank you for that!!. I literally just went in there for a quote and I ended up getting car insurance huh? Well it all worked out the way it had to so thanks for great service, attentiveness and most of all knowledgeably informative and sincereness. I recommend him and there's a plus to it he is very friendly and can relate and can even give you great advice. Once again thank you Sam. (Happy face emoji) :) read more
