My wife's car was making some funny noises (she told me). I drove the car to Freeman and pointed out the rotors and said that there appears to be metal on metal. I left the car and received a callback a bit later. The rotors and pads are bad, but parts are only available on Tuesday. We'll have to find a shop with parts, so that she can get back on the road. To my surprise, though, when I went to pick up the car, I was presented with a bill for $75. I told them the rotors were bad, they told me that the rotors are bad, and now I owe them $75. Does that make sense to anyone else? I do have to say that service member Clayton was nice and professional. No one was rude. But this is as low-class quality as it comes. Extremely disappointed with my experience. My husband and I drove 3 hours to pick up a vehicle for it to 1. Not be ready because they were fixing a "too tight of belt" that was made aware to them when my husband test drove it the weekend prior to us showing up. 2. Online, there was NO disclosure that it had been in an accident, but we asked to see Carfax, and there it was. 3. While waiting for the vehicle, we were made aware of it wasn't only the belt, but instead there was an issue with the engine lifters as well. The sales rep confirmed 3 different times that we would be there on a certain day and at a certain time. We were never notified of an engine issue in the 3 days prior to coming or the 3 hour drive to the dealership. Very upsetting experience. The issue should have been fixed on the day that my husband came in and they would have known that the lifters were bad. A phone call would have been nice to say that they needed more time to work on the vehicle or find something else on their lot. read more

Will never use them again...Service Dept is horrible and have your car for weeks and never really fix the problems. Finance Dept sells you "extended warranty"packages that cover nothing. Bought two cars there on the same day. My husbands truck has been in and out of the shop too many times to count. Service Engine light is always on. Take it to shop they claim to fix and a week later, right back on. My yukon all service has been done there and yet they find an issue when I am barely out of my warranty that is not covered now by GM and the stupid warranty packages they sell you won't cover it either. Sold us a lemon Diesel truck and now the issues with my Yukon will never go back. Will never buy from them again! read more

Where do I start with this review. I am beyond impressed with the service that I received from Christi in new vehicle sales. I had shopped two other local GMC dealers one that I had bought the last five vehicle from, to only be disappointed with their new sales add on and markups. I decided to contact Freeman and found this amazing sales person. She impressed me from the moment I spoke with her on the phone. She was transparent and gave me enough information that I came into the store. When I arrived she had the location and keys to the vehicle. After showing me the benefits of purchasing the vehicle from Freeman she asked if she could get my trade looked at. They looked at my trade and gave me a fair price. They had their vehicle priced 1000.00 below the other lowest dealer. About 30 minutes later she had me in the finance office with Susan where again the process was seamless. I had started this process with another dealer almost two weeks prior. From start to finish the process at Freeman took 2 hours and I was driving away in my new truck. I have purchased several vehicles in my time and found this to be one of the best purchase experiences that I have had. I highly recommend Christi in sales and her team. My husband and I bought a fiat and they did FIVE HARD INQUIRIES on his credit. FIVE. After he told them to only do one. That dropped his credit score by a ton. We are pretty fuming. We tried to get approved for a house and we weren't able to get approved for ANY loan because five hard inquiries dropped his credit so low. DO NOT GO HERE. They will screw your credit. Now are pissed and we can't get the house we love. Thanks for nothing. His credit score dropped almost 100 points. Thanks for pissing us off and crushing our dreams. We are fully aware of how credit works and they disobeyed our direct order to only inquire with ONE LENDER. I hate this place because now we can't purchase our dream home because they didn't listen to us. My husband had fantastic credit before. Made 3 trips to get a simple rear seat cable repaired, wrong parts were ordered, communication from service advisor was horrible. After months of waiting to get the vehicle fixed they finally claimed they got it fixed. Picked the vehicle up, and found the rear seat back still would not fold down. I ended up googling this issue and found there was a service bulletin on the issue. I fixed the problem myself in 10 minutes. Makes me wonder if the parts they charged GM for under warranty were really needed. I have reached out to the GM rep for this zone. read more

I recently purchased a GM car from them that was a few years old but with low miles. After only 3 days the car goes into a safe mode and cuts the power down to almost nothing. I take it to a mechanic and he shows me the code AND WHERE THE CODE HAS BEEN CLEARED OUT BEFORE. Apparently, you can clear a code out BUT it will reappear in 500 miles. Funny? Coincidence? Neither. There is NO doubt they knew it had a problem and covered it up. BEWARE of the used car Manager, "TEX" he's a shady one. Service here is TERRIBLE. Every time I get an oil change it takes hours. A few months ago my check engine light came on,And my car stopped. I brought to the dealership and was told they reset it made it was fine. Happened again a week later,The reset it again and sent me on my way. HAPPENED AGAIN! This time I was very sure to say that I do not want to be back here. They had my car for 48 hours with little communication. I begged for a loaner car or an alternative since I have now missed so much work with their mistakes. I didn't get one. So I used the shuttle,If the service advisors ever bothered to send me the link. Finally they realize a turbo has gone out after I had my dad contact the manager after almost a week. But here's the real issue. All those times that I went,All the oil changes I've gotten I have asked them to take a look at my breaks. My car is a 2020 and it's insanely squeaky. Every time they have told me they looked at them anf I just break too hard,There is some rust. So after they have checked my brakes on five different occasions,I let it go. Well...Yesterday (November 16 2021) I went to a different Buick store for an oil change. I mentioned to them the breaks. After they took a quick look at it, They let me know MY BREAKS HAD A POSTED BULLETIN SINCE JULY OF 2020. I had begged freeman over and over to which they found no resolution. Rude staff. Literally every time I brought my car here, they would always tell me something else was broken and needed to be fixed. And the quality of their work is AWFUL! I had two repairs done here, one to my starter, one to a leaking house. BOTH REPAIRS we're not fixed correctly. I had to bring my car back twice to have them fix the same repair, and try to up charge me for another repair that is bogus. I bought a Suburban from them in early in the year (2009). Look their used vehicles over closely. I opened the glass door on one of them and the window almost fell off because the bracket was broken. I was able to get the vehicle (incl tt&l) about $1,500 less than the asking price on the one I bought. The one thing that rubbed me the wrong was was my rear window fell out because the "c-clamps" that hold the window and its frame to the SUV were missing. Luckily, that was a $90 deductible on my insurance. I feel like that is something that the dealer should have spotted/inspected/checked before selling the vehicle, hence a few stars off on the rating. read more

Let me preface this by saying that this is a reflection on the service department and not the sales department. I am greatly disappointed by my recent visit to Freeman Buick GMC's service department. I came in to have regular maintenance performed on my vehicle at approximately 12500 miles, and left with problems. The following led to me deciding to no longer use this dealership for Buick service or sales needs.   1. After waiting for two hours, I went to check the front service desk to see what the status was on my vehicle. It turns out that my vehicle had been complete for over an hour, but my vehicle's VIN had been moved into a different client's name, so they were calling for him instead of me. I hope this doesn't affect my warranty somehow.   2. There was a noticeable shimmy in the steering wheel at speeds of 60mph and higher. Turns out that they had rotated my tires, but not balanced them. I understand that balancing the tires costs extra, but I would have been happy to pay for the service. It was not even offered to me when I arrived at the dealership, and I was not aware that they had rotated my tires until well after I left. That was unacceptable.   3. Just like the first time I brought the vehicle in for service, the vehicle was not dried after being run through the wash. Sure, that's a minor thing, but on top of the other two more important items, it was just icing on the cake.   Now what I'm stuck having to do is taking the vehicle in to have a mount and balance done, which is going to cost me more than what it would have cost if they had just done it when they already had the wheels off for the rotation, all because they didn't bother to offer the service when I was there. That's a mistake they made that is now costing me money and time.   This whole situation is very unfortunate, as I live locally in Grapevine, and work locally with another automotive group, and I was hoping to find Freeman to be a solid local dealership so that I could avoid having to drive all the way to Sewell Buick GMC on Lemmon Avenue in Dallas. I just do not feel like I can trust this dealership to do the job correctly. read more

Bought a used Toyota from Freeman Buick GMC in February of 2016. The deal went a bit south initially...and I was not too happy with how it happened. But Mike Dumas was able to get the deal right and I bought a lovely car that I then drove back to California. Thanks to Mike for making it worth my while to drive from Austin. The deal was quickly executed and the paperwork went smoothly. My only advice to Mike and his team at the store is this. When you take in a used car and intend to sell it at your store, keep better records on what you did to the car when you took it in. No one was able to give me any documents on what was done to the car prior to putting it up for sale. That is very odd. Everyone told me they simply checked off items on their checklist and if it passed...it passed...if it failed..it was fixed. Really? Why not tell me when you checked the car the front brakes were at 60% and the rears were at 80%??? Why not tell me how proud you are of the attention to detail you lavish on each of your used cars??? Most dealers take great pride in telling you how each used car goes through an 88 point...or a 105 point inspection. Where was that report? Why was that not make available??? The car was lovely, and I did make the decision to buy it. But it would have been so much easier to make the decision if the dealer had shared with me their findings of the car when they took it in on trade. Is that asking to much Mr. Freeman? read more

After shopping it around i brought it here and Orin in the service department went out of the way to help me get it fixed and at a greatly lower price compared to the other quotes. Drastic difference in pricing. Great service, and everything was fixed in under 24 hours from dopping it off. Truck was washed and waiting for me when I got there to pick it up. (this review is for the service center) Not a huge fan but I would take my care there if I had to. I have two small children so it's a beat down to get my car serviced. I have a 2014 Acadia so I really only had to go in for scheduled maintenance and a recall issue. They have always given me a loaner so that is very nice. My issue is they will not move over my two carseats to the loaner and back when I pick up my car. They are VERY reluctant to even touch them. I had to haul these carseats around while the service guy was HOLDING MY BABY! My only other option was to sit her on the ground. Another time, as my husband and I are moving carseats and a huge double stroller over to the loaner car, the new service coordinator has the guts to ask us to give him a good review on a survey. After service, they have left my car dirty and blaring the service technician's radio station. Very rude. I have since started driving across town to Arlington to get my car serviced. After sending an inquiry about the car, Bill Highfield immediately got back to me. We spoke several times on the phone about the car before I made an appointment to test drive the car. The day of the test drive, Bill had the car up front. He was also waiting for me with keys in hand. After a test drive and thoroughly checking out the car I decided to buy it. The whole buying process was easy. My wife and I took both of our vehicles to Freeman Buick GMC in Grapevine for Oil change, tire rotation, and the multipoint inspection. Our service manager's name was WRAY. Talk about a stand-up guy! He told us exactly what we needed to be done, furthermore, he told me why it needed to be done. I asked Wray about both of our vehicles tires(Silverado and Tahoe) because I knew it was almost time to replace them. He walked around both vehicles and took the time to measure the tread left. Finally telling us that we could wait some time, but not to wait too long (which I knew.) To me, and my wife, Wray showed us that Freeman Buick GMC is not there to only make a quick buck by an "up-sale." Where to start? We live near Freeman Buick. My husband bought a car from them in June 2015. I bought my Acadia Denali in August 2015 at Classic GMC in Arlington because Freeman didn't have one. Bought full warranties on both since we have a toddler and didn't want to deal with all the extra things to pay for like oil changes and tire issues. We use Freeman for oil changes because it's 5 minutes from our house. Pulled up this morning and let the tech know that I needed an oil change and my tire fixed. He looked at the screw and said the tire would needs to be replaced. Advised him I have the full warranty and the phone number if needed. He proceeded to tell me that even though I have the warranty that unless they got paid TODAY from the warranty company they won't release my vehicle. They've been burned too many times. Seriously? I paid for the best warranty for my family car which includes oil changes and tires and you're threatening to not release my vehicle unless you receive full payment from my warranty company TODAY? It's a Saturday first of all and payment is between you and the warranty company and has nothing to do with me. Very poor service practice. As a side note. It's not like this is the first time that we've had issues either. Remember my husband bought his car from Freeman Buick? He had to go in for a tire as well but they couldn't locate his warranty. He had to drive to the house, locate his paperwork and go back to the dealership for them to fix his tire without charging him. And I thought it was a fluke. I have now driven to the dealership where I bought my Acadia - Classic GMC in Arlington - 17 miles away and advised them what just happened. They have confirmed the warranty information and they are taking care of me like Freeman Buick should have done in the first place. Amazing concept - to honor the warranty that is in place. Lessons learned: 1) Never deal with Freeman Buick again for buying or servicing cars. 2) Never buy the expensive warranty that "any GMC dealer" can honor. I should have just purchased the Discount Tire warranty and pay for oil changes - like I've done for all my other vehicles. read more

My husband and I contacted Freeman GMC on a Wednesday. Rick, the salesman was on vacation so it was Thursday before we could connect and get information. We were looking for a specific GMC truck and they had exactly what we were looking for. We assured them we were serious buyers and were planning to buy the truck today or tomorrow. We drove the 2020 GMC truck and we loved it. This purchase was going to be a cash buy. Rick (salesman) promised he would have pricing to us first thing this morning as he got to the office at 9. At 2:15 today we still had not received the pricing or any kind of correspondence from him. I finally contacted him. I sent Rick a text, again assuring him That we are serious buyers and need a response and pricing. He sent a text back telling us he was "really busy" and could get it to us by 4:00. So much for "first thing this morning" I called the new truck sales manager thinking because Rick was soooo busy, perhaps the sales manager could help us. He echoed Ricks statement explaining how busy Rick was. He didn't offer any kind of apology and was actually rude and seemed upset that I was " bothering him" He could have offered to help but he didn't. He said the finance manager had "just received the pricing request and was working on it." What? So it was late afternoon and the finance manager "just received" the request?! Great for Freeman. They were clearly "too busy" to treat us with respect and didn't need or want our business. This is our first experience working with Freeman and I assure you it will be our last. When we finally received pricing it was exactly what Rick gave us last night. List price, minus a small rebate. He got that for us last night in 10 seconds. We were expecting a competitive, fair price and we waited for that. Didn't get that --we got nothing. This has been very disappointing and frustrating! I don't know when customer service became an after thought and not a priority. We are headed to Sewell GMC to buy a 2020 GMC truck. Sewell still cares about the customer! We have a nearly $100K GMC Yukon XL Denali that we took in for maintenance like we have from the day we bought it. With around 25k miles on the SUV it needed all 4 tires replaced because the tread was low. We escalated it and still no help from GM no help from the Dealership and No help from the tire manufacture. We paid cash for the SUV and buy a new car every 2 to 3 years. Being one of the top customers of GM I am thoroughly disappointed with the dealership and GMC and will never buy a GMC, Chevy or any of their other brands again for any reason. Shame on you for treating your top customers this way. read more

First time using the service dept on my 2012 GMC Terrain. They were able to get me in quickly for service and I can schedule future service online from now on. My service advisor kept me informed of any issues with my vehicle and checked with me before doing any extra service. When my vehicle was done though...I walked out in front of the shop and I didn't see my vehicle...I had to set the alarm to figure out where it was and then it was parked super close between two other vehicles. Luckily they moved the vehicle in front of me before so I could leave. I know they were super busy though. read more
