I was just winging it for a while, doing all my own work. Who needs a shop? A short time ago, while searching for something on Google Maps, I see BMW Motorcycles. Note to self, I need to check this place out someday. Well that day was last week. At first the BMWs were not jumping out at me. There are a lot of other brands here, and PWCs (Personal Water Crafts). Even those funky low to the ground three-wheeled "motorcycles", pretty sweet! Much more gear and apparel too. So I drove 3 1/2 hours to this dealership to purchase my (first bike, EVER). The bike was in great shape, so I was excited about the purchase. So my plan was to put $2000 down and finance the difference. Here's were the fun started. After waiting for just over an hour, the finance guy returned with the following buyers order.Assembly Fee: $1,297.65 -State Taxes: $441.81 Documentation Fee: $499.00 -Extended Warranty - $999.00 (2yrs) - Give or take 1,2, or 3 year price varied.Life-time battery fee: $499.00.After all was said and done I was $8,267.94. I went from $4,515.00 to $8,267.94, give or take 1,2, or 3 year extended warranty. So when buying a used bike I'm assuming the bike was assembled for the original buyer, or is that not correct?So I basically countered removing Assembly fee, extended warranty, LT ******** and offered $250 for documentation fee totaling; $5,222.00. Now that I had time to think about this process, I REALIZE THAT EVEN THOUGH THIS WAS THE HUNTSVILLE STORE, THIS IS A NORMAL PRACTICE WHICH STARTS AT HQ. Was looking to purchase a bike from them. We agreed on a price early that morning, right when they opened, then got ghosted the rest of the day. When I tried to figure out what was going on I was just told that the "bike sold" with no apologies or anything. Just not good business at all. Unless the price is substantially lower(which it probably won't be with all the fees) I would look elsewhere. I bought a used BMW R1200 RT from these guys. I wondered why as an out of state buyer the sales manger was so eager to get my CC number and complete the sell. I am 1800 miles away and can't inspect the bike myself. So I assumed they have a bike in the show room its in good condition. So I bought it and had it shipped home ..... It arrived with a multitude of scratches. I stopped counting at 17 just on the top case. Tires were old and bad, huge decals baked on that won't come off. Seat all scuffed up. I bought a brand new jet ski 3 years ago and pre paid for 6 services. On my 6th service this year my pre paid services had "expired". If it was a promotion I would understand how it would expire, but somehow a service I always paid for gets expired, which is beyond ridiculous I already paid for it. Very sad to see them con there way into a extra 600$. Needless to say this next boat I'm going to buy will definitely not come from this place. As of today we tried to take it out about a week after I had it serviced everything was supposed to be good they said battery was at 90% and should be good the whole summer. Took it out today and the battery is completely dead with no acid in it. Very said performance supposed to be good the whole summer and didn't get one day wasted 600$ on this service. From the sales experience, through service department, terrible. This is the dealership that tells you what you want to hear, then screws you as soon as you aren't looking. Simple jobs like a clutch or gas tank replacement will take 1-2 months, and your bike will sit outside in the sun and rain for months until it's done. I've been waiting on a gasket for 2+ weeks. This review is mainly a two parter. I'll start with the good. The sales team is amazingly great. Lorie is a manager that I think is head of the store and she's amazing helping out with concerns too. They walk over options on warranties and additional programs when purchasing that really show you one hundred percent what you're getting and such. I got my title for my bike fast and the sale was super easy. Now the glaring black eye to the store is the service. I've had horrible upon horrible experiences with service ever since the first time bringing my bike in. From asking for a simple plastic screw on my license plate to the last straw being carburetor bolts stripped so they can't be removed. I have requested my extended warranty to be cancelled and refunded over 6 weeks ago cause I've been having to pay out of pocket well over the amount of the warranty for parts that consistently not be covered under warranty. It was a huge waste of money. Each time I've brought my bike back after service, something else would go wrong the same day. A fuel leak turned into a recurring problem cause it wasn't fastened in the correct spot. A carb jet replacement has caused the plates to stick. An oil leak and gas leak led to out of pocket expenses cause the individual parts weren't covered. Last pickup, someone broke the rear turn light and I did get the replacement part sent back to me via mail. The carb screws being stripped, the service manager argued with me over the phone saying how can he has his techs take the blame and was wondering why I didn't have it brought back in if it were having a problem. This seems way too much like a scam and the service department as a whole is full of incompetency that needs to be addressed as soon as possible. I've called back and talked to Lorie and expressed my issues and she is going to take care of this for me and helped expedite remedy. She is amazing. It just sucks how one place can be so flip flopped on service. Especially directly to a customer. I only wish I knew the name of the first guy telling me my warranty would be cancelled cause it never was processed. Until changes happen from top to bottom in service, take your issues elsewhere. Buy a bike, don't service here until things are one hundred percent overhauled. read more

I purchased a Slingshot SL , well at least I thought I did. Not calling any names but if the finance guy had handled his job and not talk about Barbie dolls. Then all the paperwork would have gotten done the first time. Needless to say they were calling me about a recall on the seat belt and never made mention they didn't do their part in submitting the paper work to the bank. I finally got an email 60 days later advising I needed to re sign my paperwork due to it being 30 days old. I did my part & gave them 2 1/2 hours of my time I can never get back. I requested a new deal because the slingshot has been marked down. NO new deal!! They refuse to make new deal. Now they're listing the Blue Slingshot SL as a DEMO! They are not accredited by the BBB. I bought a BMW there last year and that sales I would have rated a 4 star. After a few health issues, I was having difficulty mounting and dismounting the bike. I went to try and trade for an ATV. Salesman (Daniel) was helpful and everyone seems polite, but there was a major disconnect when it came to the down payment. Business Manager did not remember what I had said yesterday and as much as called me a liar. I gave this place two stars yesterday, but after thinking about last night and realizing how much time I wasted I had to back off the two and drop it to one. Remembering the surly attitude of the BMW guy who appraised my bike, not sure what he was mad about but he was upset about something. I don't know what and most assuredly don't care. I always get my vehicles serviced at the dealer while in warranty, it won't be done here. Too many other BMW dealers around to give my money to. I wasn't going to continue to downgrade this company but.....True to the owners remark , I was contacted by the business Manager (Heather Addleman). She tried to explain the issue but I told her the second she rolled her eyes at me I was done. Finished. She tried to interrupt but I continued. I explained the lack of professionalism she showed and that basically calling me a liar was just another brick in the wall. I mentioned to her that a salesperson approached me as I was gathering my things to leave and told me" I can't say anything, she is my boss but I heard what you said". I told her that if that salesperson caught the least bit of flack (Not in those words but I did not curse) I would do everything in my power to get her fired. As the former District Manager of a large restaurant chain, if one of my managers rolled their eyes at a customer I would be collecting their keys to the store and escorting them from the property.. JMHO So yesterday I get a robocall from them inviting me to some sort of unveiling. The call woke me from a nap I was taking after using a pain pill for my back. I called back and politely asked to be taken off all of their list, email, call and anything else. He (Vic) , supposedly the GM told me sure , no problem. Today two emails from them. I bought a new Victory from these guys last summer. The one thing I can say about this place is the staff have always been extremely nice. I went in here to tire kick a few times before I bought my current bike and everyone was friendly and enjoyed talking about bikes. They didn't try to lowball me on my trade and made the same offer I got from other places without me having to haggle first. Other places made me a low offer and I had to counter before I got the right offer. Also, I like the fact that they have so many brands under one roof. I went in looking for a Yamaha, but ended up buying a Victory. Not because someone steered me in that direction, a certain bike just caught my eye. They also carry Suzuki and BMW and have a large used selection of all brands. If you are looking at a brand they carry they will have EVERY new model available, which is very cool. The only gripes I have is they don't want to deal much on the price and Victory gear selection. You are going to pay top dollar for popular bikes. They did throw in some gear with mine which was better than nothing and it was the middle of summer so kind of understandable. The gear problem is sizing. They might have 15 size smalls of a shirt I like and no other sizes! If you're looking for Victory gear you may have a problem finding anything that fits unless you eat salads all the time or are female. read more

My boyfriend works in the car industry so I understand it can get overwhelming, but 90% of the employees here are very unprofessional. When my boyfriend bought his motorcycle some of the parts were missing, some needed to be replaced, & it needed to be detailed. They told us to come back in a week to get all of that done, which was fine. When we brought it in the older guy that works for parts said it will be done by the next day at 1pm. The next day when it was supposed to be ready, he said they haven't even touched the bike yet & were trying to fix things my boyfriend didn't even ask to get fixed. When we went to go pick up the bike when it was finished the hazard light button was pushed in & stuck and the motorcycle wasn't even detailed! When we let them know about it he laughed & nodded his head. They will call you & text you a bunch before you purchase anything but once you buy something they will ignore your texts & calls. I was looking for THE 2016 Burgman 650 and found it at Freedom PowerSports. While I usually buy scooters used, I wanted one new, me-only, and with a warranty. This one had 0.4 on the Trip Meter. Nice! Danny was my salesperson who worked with me via phone first on my pricing points and we landed on an offer that was a good fit for me. The bike came with a crate issue that Danny assured me would be taken care of. Heather was very professional in working through the Financing as I came in pre-approved and scored 0% financing. Got to meet Jordan and Mark in Parts/Service and they covered maintenance and answered all my questions. Robert walked us through the paperwork and it was a painless experience...even price matching the Suzuki Extended plan and saved me alot more $$$. Danny thanked us for choosing Freedom and we were as glad to be there as he was for us being there. So, I rode off.....and then... One of the left side panels came off as I turned the corner out of the parking lot. So, back to service I go. Mark was real great to snap pics and add it to the other crate issue so it will get replaced as well. I don't fault Freedom for these two things...I do give them kudos for not even blinking an eye to make it right. Long history with these guys. Bought a new 2016 BMW S1000R from these guys. However, the bike didn't fire properly between 2,000 and 3,500 RPM, like it was cutting out on one or more cylinders. Their answer? "They all do that." Well, not in my experience. Brought it in three times and even took a video of it happening. They never fixed it. I traded that bike in on a 2018 R1200GS. They did give me a decent price on the trade, but what bad things could they say about the bike if "they all do that"? The shift peg on the GS (just to the toe part) fell off I was riding down the freeway, I wanted it fixed under warranty. Long story short, I ended up buying an aftermarket shift lever as the dealership wouldn't honor a workmanship defect. I also had issues with the cruise control. They eventually replaced the switch but only after I had my bike in there several times, one period of which lasted three weeks. Every time I called to get a status, the answer was something like, "Oh, they just got it on the analyzer, I'll get back to you with the results," and then silence for another week. Only after I got BMW North America involved did it seem that anything started to occur. In any event, I've been riding for well over three decades and have dealt with a number of dealerships. This place comes in dead last in terms of customer service. Maybe I was spoiled by Bob's BMW in Jessup, MD, but I would hope that an upscale brand, with upscale prices, would come with upscale customer service. Even if the dealership can't get something done, a phone call with a status update is free and goes a long way toward letting the customer know that they a) matter, and b) haven't been forgotten. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! THEY RUN YOUR CREDIT 100 TIMES!! THEY DO BAIT AND SWITCH SCHEMES HERE!! I was really excited at first to see the bike that they said they had when I had called. I finally get there after driving about an hour and a half, I spoke with Daniel over the phone and of course I dealt with him when I got there. I asked Daniel as soon as I got there, where the bike was, and he said that it was at one of their other stores in Dallas. He said that they could get the bike to their store but that he wanted to run my credit and information first. I let him do so, and after about 45 minutes of waiting, because he decided to help someone else at the same time, he walks up to me and tells me that "the bike was sold about 10 minutes ago". He also informed me that he could find another bike, so he does so. While he was doing that, I walked away for a little bit and decided to call their Dallas store. I cant remember the salesman that I spoke with, but he informed me that the bike was sold over three weeks ago. At this point I was furious, because I had told Daniel, once he told me the bike was sold "10 minutes ago", that I hoped this was not a bait and switch scheme, because if I found out it was, I would be writing this review. They ran my credit several times, left about 10 inquiries on my credit. read more

I would never do business with this place. My uncle just purchased a bike from here yesterday. He took me along for help because I am good with numbers and negotiating. He bought a brand new FZ-07 with a Akrapovic exhaust and power commander already installed on it. Bike is 6990 MSRP and exhaust/tune was $1800 (but the same things can be bought for $1100 online). Out the door they wanted him to pay $10537 which was ridiculous. He asked for my help and we eventually negotiated $9500 OTD, still too much IMO but he was happy with it. After all of this they made us stand around for 2 HOURS waiting on financing. It was the end of the day and only the finance manger was left so I would have had a small understanding if things had gone smooth from there. This is where it gets really bad. As usual in financing they try to really get you go buy a bunch of extra crap. My uncle wanted me in there to help him. The finance manager initially tried to get him to buy warranty and maintenance plan that added $90/month to his 3 year finance plan. My uncle was not interested in it but he was interested in the maintenance plan. So the finance manager comes at him with a payment that added $65/month for maintenance!!! It was $2500 for maintenance for a $7000 bike, 1/3 cost of total bike. My uncle looks at me and asks what I think and tell him that as little as he rides he would only be doing 1 oil change a year which would cost about $50 to do ourselves. The finance manager gets pissed off at me and tells me I am ruining his sale, this bike is my uncles not mine, and if I keep talking he is going to make me leave the office. My uncle wanted me there, asked my opinion, and needed my help. If I had been buying the bike I would have walked out of that dealer right then and there. What makes it so bad is this was the "manager" and he is trying to completely screw his customer and when you question his "prices" you get told to leave his office. No wonder we waited 2 hours for him to get 1 sale complete in front of us, no telling what he was suckering those people into buying. Finance manager immediately lowered the price to $43/month which my uncle agreed to. I understand dealerships need to make money but to try and sell someone a $7k bike for $14k (if he took their offer and plans without me negotiating down the prices) is unethical and taking advantage of people. Then for the finance manager to threaten to kick you out of his office when you question his prices is just over the top. read more

Another missed opportunity to make a good experience a great one. I've bought BMWs from this dealer, in various incarnations, for 15 years. I've bought two new in the past two years. I find the other dealers in the area unpleasant to be in and deal with, so I keep coming back. First up, everyone there was friendly and pleasant to interact with. Other reviews will tell you the same, they seem to attract good people, somehow. Second, I always manage to find what I'm looking for, without having to buy out of a crate or order ahead. Next is the facility is clean, well lit and has places to actually sit down. The downside, the reason it's never more than good, is instance after instance there are issues that add up to a exasperated feeling upon leaving. It took too long to get to the attention of the one sales rep in the BMW area, on a Saturday afternoon when there should be plenty. And even then, he underwhelmed. It took too long to get to a point where I could try the product rather than stand around with the guy yaking about it (I'm a known, returning customer). It took way too long (a full hour) to get from "I'll take it" to "Here are your numbers". It then took way too long to get thru the finance office, as one person's mistake compounded the next person's process so back and forth they went and so on. But add insult to injury, I'm then left without a ride home, as they have to keep a bike needing a recall (they suddenly discover), a bike that's been on their sales floor certainly long enough to have rotated thru service for a part, causing me to recall the wife who's already 30 min away at home, because I can't take the bike I just bought and they don't have bikes a guy can use for two days unbelievably and so I stand around well after closing for only stupid reasons. They'll deliver it, gratis, I'm told, to mollify me, first available slot on Tuesday. Except they won't, because the (sold) bike on their lot got prioritized low in service and now it'll be end of the day as I sit at home watching 10:30 am pass by as originally stated. It's a replay of what happened last year, as that bike sat waiting for a day or so of delays for state inspection or some such. All of this costs me the one thing I don't want to spend on them, time. I guess it's true Yelp really doesn't post negative reviews of the companies that advertise with them. I wrote 2 reviews recently about my experience with Freedom Power Sports of Hurst and neither one is fit for posting on Yelp. They must be a match made in heaven, they both suck. The service department has the worst customer service ever. They lied to me about the progress or lack there of on my bike and about what would be covered by warranty. I have still yet to get my bike back and all it needed was a fuse, which they don't keep on hand. My bike is a 2019 S1000R so it's not like it is something out dated and I am sure it shares the same fuses as probably 75% of all BMW's. Ya I feel it's personal and am worried about my bike being at their shop. Don't take your bike to them, you will regret it. read more

Had a recall done on my 2016 FJR. They released my bike to ride home with a blown headlight fuse. When confronted the service manager, he admitted they don't check out such things. "Not their job". I'm a former motorcycle instructor, I taught safety to my students. This is unacceptable! This is how riders get killed!! read more
