Checked the coolant reservoir 1 month 2 weeks after I got it and was empty. No leaks around the bike. Not very happy with that side of dealership. Freedom is about an hour plus from me but the closest dealer to where I live. I looked up bikes they had for sale. There prices listed were high retail. But I wanted to see the 2020 Goldwing. I had one years ago and really liked it. Driving on the highway it makes sense to have a bagger with a windshield. My Dyna has neither. So I pull up to a shopping center and low and behold there they are. I walked around the store looked at different bikes. There was a gal by the door, texting I'm not sure she worked there or not. There were some young guys up on this high platform overlooking the sales floor, just talking to each other. I found two bikes I liked and sure enough no prices on anything. I am a cash buyer with my checkbook in my pocket. I walked past the sales kids a number of times. I was checking out a bike right in front of them. I wanted to test drive a bike or two and find out how much. After about 20 minutes I left. I don't need another bike, but I wanted one. I thought maybe it's an omen. If I can't test drive a bike I don't buy it. Then I wondered if you can't get them to take your money, how good are they on warranty work? They have some nasty reviews, which didn't sit well with me. Even if I bought from another dealer it's a lot further for maintenance. I have a private mechanic that maintains my Harley. Extremely Frustrated by My Experience - READ Everything Approximately one month ago I spotted the bike I had been looking for on an aggregate vehicle web site that showed a newer KLR with under 3k miles was available at Freedom Powersports in Canton. I called the dealership on the phone to confirm some details on the bike (less than an hour before closing) and was told the bike was still available, I agreed to have them run a check to see what kind of financing I could get through them and I figured why not. Irritation 1: I was offered a 12% interest rate but shrugged it off as I intend to the pay the bike off within 4-5 months. Irritation 2: While on the phone the salesgirl pressured me several times to make a non-refundable deposit of some kind on the bike so that they would hold it for me till I could come in the next morning (I told her that if they sold the bike in the 30 minutes before the store closed it wasn't meant to be). Irritation 3: The next morning I got up bright and early to make it to the dealership by 9 (left my house at 7am) and before they were even open for the day the same salesgirl called and texted my phone to ask if I was on my way. On arrival I took the bike for a test ride and didn't have many questions for the staff because this would be my second KLR and the first one I sold to a friend at 50k miles. This is a bike I am well acquainted with. Irritation 4: One very specific question I had was that if the financial organization that would be financing my bike has a web portal to do business with and I was told 'oh yes of course'. This was a lie and the person should have said 'no they do not' or 'I have no idea'. It is 2019 and I think it is INSANE a company offering financing for vehicles of any kind does not offer a web portal for transactions. I don't want to MAIL you a check every month or call you to make a payment. I want to be able to monitor how much principle I am paying off online like I do with other similar sized loans. Irritation 5: This is partially my fault but in all the excitement of buying a new bike and chatting with the employees I didn't read the contract carefully enough. Sticker Price: $6,199 **Freight and Set up** $1,000 ------- excuse me? Dealer Document Preperation Fee: $299 Title Fees: $18 The downpayment I chose to make was $2,000 but now after the grossly inflated 'freight and set up' and other miscelanous more reasonable charges I owe $5,516 when the advertised prices was $6,199 and I already paid $2,000 in cash! Had I seen that item added to the cost I would have walked away from the deal after driving 2 hours one way to ride the bike. The most expensive trip to the mechanic for my other KLR (in California no less!) was under $400 and that included new tires. A 2018 KLR with under 3k miles doesn't need a fraction of 'work' they apparently claim to have put into that $1,000 fee and beyond that to advertise a bike at $6,199 when the $1,000 is allegedly a fixed cost is false advertising. I believe what happened is the day before when I told them I'd be putting 2k down the people I was dealing with inflated that amount to keep more money in their pockets? I have no idea. Irritation 6: My first payment is due next week and I spent an hour on the phone with the lender yesterday to find out there is no web portal and I also have not yet received the papers I need to register the bike from the dealership even though it has been 30 days. I talked to the GM today about most of my grievances and YES he was very nice but his answers for me didn't amount to much more than 'it was on your paperwork...' My husband and I together own 4 bikes (3 of them are mine) and while not reading the paperwork carefully enough is my own fault I can't in good faith recommend friends to do business here and can't do business with them again because I feel really taken advantage of as this was my first experiences buying a bike from a dealership. read more

Went to buy a atv for my daughter and after discussing and finalizing a price with the salesman he came back after talking to sales manager and said they couldn't sell me the atv because I was giving it to my daughter. ( who is a 14 yr old experienced rider) made no sense to me at all. Only thing I could figure is that the salesman agreed to a price that the manager wouldn't agree to. An entire afternoon wasted. I had to replace a couple of old tired helmets. I was planning on just ordering online somewhere but happened to stop by Freedom Powersports to get an idea of what's available. Chris in parts helped us out by talking about helmet construction and what's good and what's better. He was patient as we tried to find the correct size. Purchased a 2021 Polaris General there about 2 months ago. Didn't get to ride it much until this weekend. The "dealer prep" was over $1500 and the machine wasn't even put together correctly. Numerous connecting clips missing, body parts not connected and not aligned. Low brake fluid and my fuse box wasn't attached next to the battery, just flopping around under the rear seat. In addition when I purchased the machine I had to return with a trailer to pick it up. My sales girl sees me walking in and asked if she can help me? Absolutely the worst and most pathetic excuse for customer service I have ever experienced. Applied for a motorcycle Loan and received minimal if any communication on wether I was approved or even qualified for the loan. Promised to be called back. Didn't happen. I'm fact I had to chase them for responses and the last time I checked it should be the other way around. What's pathetic and sad about a business like this is they don't realize that no matter wether a customer qualifies or not they should at least be treated with respect and courtesy. Just because someone doesn't qualify at that moment doesn't mean there aren't other opportunities in the future. I get a cash bonus every March and my plan was to buy a motorcycle cash next March. After the way I was treated here I wouldn't give them a dime of my money. They don't deserve it. And another piece of advice is that you never know when a persons situation will change. Last week I received a settlement in which case I could have bought most of the motorcycles I looked at cash. So instead of using freedom powersports I went elsewhere. Hopefully you'll get better treatment than I did. But if your credit is border line and you may or may not qualify I wouldn't expect any customer service from this location. I traded 2017 Harley Dyna Low in for a used 2019 Can Am Spyder for safety reasons. On the way home during a rain storm while traveling at a dangerous slow speed to vehicles behind the Can Am hydro planed. Arriving home reading the manual in two places it says the Cam Am will hydro plane. I went back to the dealer when they opened the next morning and asked to get my trade in back and they could have the Can Am back. They salesman said wouldn't happen but I persisted and two hours later the manager came and talked to me. My Harley was still sitting in the same place as the evening when I left. He shot the bull with me and said they had a guy come in and put two hundred dollars on it and said he was picking it up that weekend. So there was no way they could say I was just out for a test ride. On the way out they had put a sold sign on the 2017 Dyna that I traded in only to get something I thought would be safer for my wife and I. I have been riding for 55 years with over 250,000 miles on bikes. Now six week later I see they are advertising it for $17,000. Nice price, they gave me $10,000. The money is what ever they can get but the manager set there and LIED over and over. Please to every one, look at the bad reviews. I did thought what the heck. I went here today to look for a Sportsman 450 for my daughter. For starters, their advertisement said they had a couple new 2019 models which wasn't true and I quickly got the " our web guy hasn't had a chance to update our ad". Of course, I quickly realized that was a ploy to get customers in the store but I wasn't against buying a 2020. So my daughter liked the color blue (over green and red) but then we soon realized the blue one didn't have power steering (after we were told it did). So now I'm thinking "ok, since they don't have the model we want in the color we want I will just ask them for their best price on the Green one so I can compare to other dealerships that may have a blue one. So here is where the aggravation starts. Rather than apologize for not having the color and model I want for my daughter, the salesperson pulls the ever so notorious "come have a seat at my desk " routine where she starts to pull her "sales 101" tactics she learned from some cheap sales class and proceeds to tell me this is the best price she can give me on a model I don't even want. I quickly said "thank you, can I get that in writing" and she looks at me and says "why, I already told you this is the Best price I can give you". So now I'm getting irritated and I said again I would just like a copy of your proposal and she quickly interrupted and said "why are you going to price shop us?" Right there it was so obvious to see that she isn't giving me her best price which means she had already lied. The problem with salespeople like this is they are typically too narcissistic to back track their comments and apologize and so my mind was immediately made up to not buy here. I raised my voice and said "you just blew any chance of me buying here". And I turned around to walk out and she starts following me through the store yelling "Sir, please leave the store, Sir please leave, please leave the store over and over. This was one very inexperienced sales woman who obviously doesn't have to worry about me ever visiting her store again. I will buy a machine this weekend and they will lose a sale from me for a second time. (Yes, the First time was 6 years ago and because of a similar circumstance). I purchased a used Suzuki GSF1250 street bike. The bike had mismatched front turn signals and I asked for an OEM light to be installed on the front left to match the front right side turn signal. I guess this was missed on the "safety check". I also asked for an additional spare key for the bike since they only had one to give me for the purchase. After 2 months and 3 calls to the store about having these items taken care of, I have not heard back from the salesman or the sales manager. He worked his butt off and tried to work things out for us. As for the rest of it, sat for over two weeks getting thrown back and forth, the bank needs this and that, but never calling to let me know. I only ever got information when I called to check in. I called multiple times for the finance, Melissa, and was told she would return my call. That never happened. Even the manager, Mike, did not seem to care about having us for customers. Never got a call saying the financing was done and given the terms, etc. I had to call every time to find anything out. They obviously did not want to sell the bike to us. I have gotten nothing but lies and excuses since buying my motorcycle, with no offer of recompense for my time and money lost on this purchase.
