She's on her cell phone all the time, gets annoyed at you visibly, rolls her eyes, and gives an attitude everytime you ask a simple question. She doesn't want to do her job and makes it very clear. She shouldn't be in a customer service position at all. There's a lot people out there that would love to have a job and not give an attitude to every patient/customer everytime. Went back and had bunion surgery on my left foot this March. This was no easy fix and she walked through what was needed to be done to repair my foot. I am very pleased on my recovery and repair. I followed Dr Smith's treatments for recovery and my foot has recovered nicely. My incision looks great and toe alignment is very good. She performed surgery for my Achilles tendon rupture, and from my very first appointment through recovery, I felt completely confident that I was in the best hands. Dr. Smith is highly skilled, thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable, but what truly sets her apart is her compassion and ability to explain everything clearly and patiently. She took the time to answer all my questions, eased my concerns, and made sure I understood every step of the process. The surgery went smoothly, my recovery has been excellent, and I credit that to her expertise and attention to detail. I was recently laid off and will be transitioning into new insurance. I wanted to have everything taken care of while my deductible was met. The staff got me scheduled for ALL my dental work in one day! There is no way I could have had 4 filings replaced and a tooth extraction AND a root tip removal in one day anywhere else. My 10AM appointment to have two fillings replaced went exactly as scheduled- while checking out the office staff informed me of a 3pm last minute cancellation. They had me come back that afternoon for two more filling replacements. I jokingly told Dr Smith why not just pull the tooth and root tip too? And he did! I wanted to get it all out of the way as soon as possible. He made sure I was comfortable the entire time. His hygienists in the afternoon switched around my bite block and modified some things to maximize my comfort. No one loves seeing the dentist, but it's about as painless as possible with the great the great team at Frankel Dentistry! I had a consult between appointments regarding dental implants and both of the ladies who helped me were great. They gave me so much information and even got me a referral for Invisalign. I might have a little pain today, but I've definitely got a lot to smile about.

When she came to do my exam, she acted like she could not be bothered to explain my care plan or my needs to me. And she got frustrated when I was confused and asked questions. When I got frustrated in response to her, her tone and approach got increasingly ruder. As a dental provider, I would expect her to display at least SOME level of kind bedside manner. This was just the opposite. She didn't want to have to explain anything or answer questions, and she acted like me asking questions was bothering her. Also, the day prior to my appointment, I received a phone call saying that I "had to call back to confirm my appointment" same day or it would be cancelled. I received texts notifying me of my appointment but NONE of those texts said to affirmatively "Confirm" my appointment or respond in anyway. They were just informational messages. I never received a text or any message saying that I needed to affirmatively confirm. So when I got the phone call and called them back, the receptionist explained that they had a "new policy" where you "must" confirm your appointment by the day prior or it will be cancelled. I received no notification of this policy. I explained that the text messages I received never sought or asked for affirmative confirmation either. I was again met with frustration and apathy. There were also comments made about how they would not recommend replacing a crown if it was done within 2 years because then "insurance wouldn't pay for it." But if it was more than 2 years ago, they would recommend getting a new crown. Whether I actually needed a new one didn't matter. That tells me their care decisions are driven by money. Frankly, the entire business model feels like a money grab and like they do not care about CARING for their patients.

Everyone from the person to take me to the room, to the hygienist to Dr Emily, have been especially friendly (both times I've been there). I have had many dentists due to changes to insurance and moving. I've had not so good dentists and great dentists. Dental Excellence of Delta has surpassed any great dentist I have had in the past. Their whole menu concept to help patients feel more comfortable was a huge surprise to me and a great idea. I hope that I will always be able to stuck with them, cause I have found my new favorite dentist.
