Lately I have had a decent nurse but I still feel uncomfortable going there plus I don't feel heard when I try talk to the doctor I get cut off or I get the blame instead of being heard he is a decent doctor and has been nice at this Clinic I recently remembered where I know him from I'm sure it's him and why I left pain management to start with and ended up going through this mess. I'm actually tired of going to hospitals and appointments just to feel more depressed but lately like I said the nurse I have lately has been great but I would not recommend to anyone else especially if they have disabilities or suffer from any ptsd. They are not trained for that or know how to act . They just don't only reason I'll give 4 stars is because the nurse I have has been great actually she deserves 5 stars but the place doesn't.

There are some who care, but the majority know it is hard to get help and it shows in their attitude. Most of the nurses feel it is beneath them to help a resident get to the bathroom, and since there are not enough aides, you could wait 40 minutes for help. If you have someone there, it is important to be there with them for the majority of the day, or they will not be helped. The staff is overworked and resentful. My husband was there for 12 weeks and by the end he was begging me to get him out of there.

What most people need to realize, is the importance of building a relationship with the staff caring for your loved one. It is a team effort. This is a care facility. They cannot and should not be expected to give private duty nursing services. It is unrealistic for any facility to be expected to do this. You have to be willing to reach out to the staff and work with them. Come to them with concerns, but also realize a thank you goes a long way when you do this very hard work. I can't begin to thank the staff for the care dad received especially during his final days. I stayed with my dad to care for him and make sure he knew he was not alone. I believe that was my honor and duty, but this staff cared for me as well as my dad. The concern for my well being touched me to my core. I will not forget the compassion my father and I received by all the staff. The flower arrangement that was sent to the funeral home was so beautiful and very appreciated. Staff who became friends were there at the funeral home to support me and my family. Their concern did not stop as dad was taken from the facility. If you are looking for a facility to "team care" for your loved one, stop looking, the Lakes of Sylvania should be strongly considered. I will only refer folks to this facility.

Our experience with Lakes of Sylvania was beyond tremendous. My loved one experienced care in both…read morethe assisted living wing and also in the skilled nursing area. The director, the nurses, the physical therapists, the chef, the cleaning department and various departments ALL provided the best of care possible. The communication which existed between Lakes of Sylvania and her family was also tremendous. Each day an updated Covid report was to be found in my email and a weekly video was posted to inform all families members of the events of the week. I was able the connect in person with the staff whenever I so desired. My dear one got the BEST of care and compassion from everyone within the walls of Lakes of Sylvania. I would give this campus my highest recomendation. I owe them my deepest gratitude.

Went back and had bunion surgery on my left foot this March. This was no easy fix and she walked through what was needed to be done to repair my foot. I am very pleased on my recovery and repair. I followed Dr Smith's treatments for recovery and my foot has recovered nicely. My incision looks great and toe alignment is very good. She performed surgery for my Achilles tendon rupture, and from my very first appointment through recovery, I felt completely confident that I was in the best hands. Dr. Smith is highly skilled, thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable, but what truly sets her apart is her compassion and ability to explain everything clearly and patiently. She took the time to answer all my questions, eased my concerns, and made sure I understood every step of the process. The surgery went smoothly, my recovery has been excellent, and I credit that to her expertise and attention to detail. The staff is in the middle of trying a new check in process but it's new and I think it still needs work. I've only seen fetal medicine and endocrinologist at this Perrysburg location. I've worked in the medical field 20 years but I do think they need to do more work with streamlining their overall process. Communication with each other and the patient needs a lot of work. When you are going to multiple doctors and offices communication with each other is important especially since being a 1st time mom can be an overwhelming experience. I've had staff and doctors call me and have no idea what's going on with my care cause someone forgot to update their notes. Thank goodness I'm a great advocate for my care and very outspoken. Not awful care or anything but definitely needs work. Lab department was fast and easy to navigate. But I do think they need to lower their voices when talking about patient care, the ladies who check us in. Be a little more sensitive to the patient sitting right in front of you. Parking is easy, nice area if you wanted to grab some lunch or shop.
