Believe the reviews when you see them. This place is so horribly ran. They can't keep employees long term at all. Forcing new people to come in that don't know what they are doing. The experience is horrible, but the attitude they have is even worse. I would not recommend anyone to donate here period. There are so many other places. They have new manager & she is terrible! Beware people. Steve the previous manager was a reasonable guy. They are aware most people coming in are in dire need of this money. At this Biomat I'm afraid to say they use that against you & look for any reason whatsoever to give you a hard time. The manager who replaced Steve made it even worse than it was before. I couldn't imagine going in there on a regular basis. They treat you like you're their prisoner & you're there to donate plasma! Go to CLS It's a much more humane place to donate. This place is absolutely horrible to anyone who dares to go there to donate a half hour or less before the posted closing time. They literally berate you, shut down the screening stations, they turn people away even though they arrive 15-20 minutes before the posted closing time, and lock the doors early. Ive been told i was inconsiderate because i got there at 245 on a day they closed at 3 because "they wanted to go home too" what?? Excuse me but why dont you stop advertising your hrs as such if its so much trouble to actually do your job until closing time? Furthermore did these employees who throw these childish fits because customers want to come in during business hrs disclose this personality trait at the time of their interview? Somehow i doubt it. This has been going on up there forever and i would love a day that this is actually brought to the attention of someone who can change the culture there but as of now stay away if you cant get there 45 min before they close, as doing their jobs so close to closing time really upsets them. read more

The wait was absolutely rediculous. I walked in, signed in and was told that the wait would be at least 7 hours. No apology, nothing. Just rude really. About 4 hours into the wait my name was finally called. I was given a clipboard of paperwork to fill out, something it seems to me I could have done about oh... 4 hours ago. From watching other new people get signed up, there was still an enitre binder full of information I needed to read, something else I could of done instead of vegetating for 4 hours. I wrote my medications down which triggered the fact that I'm a diabetic. Now I have called to make sure thats okay, and they said that it was, but ... it's not. I was sent away after wasting half a day, doing absolutely nothing, for no real reason. Thats what signs are for.. Put up a darn sign so that I know not to sit around and wait for several hours. If you're planning to go, to this place and donate plasma, even after reading this, well my sister's Critstina Lakey, write her name down so she gets a referll bonus. read more

I wouldn't suggest it unless you're desperate or have a kind heart but don't have the time to go anywhere else 1/3 of the staff looks like they trained them with 2-3 weeks after they scooped them from the nearest gutter and the rest are pretty nice. Don't get sick, I lost 150 dollars with their punch card system on my 8th arrival lol they offered to give me 5 dollars for coming back. If you see people going ahead of you in the waiting list don't have faith that the people at the desk would notice you waiting , go up to them and tell them you were forgotten I wonder why they aren't reviewable on google... The center has become very unprofessional. Lack of caring from the very inexperienced staff, all of their previous experienced employee's have quit. They treat their donor's and employee's with the same amount of respect "NO" respect. They turn away loyal and dedicated donor's when they are 3 minutes into the last hour if they do not have an appointment and the wait times have gotten awful, your usually wait time is 3 hours on a good day, you sit in the waiting room for an hour before they even screen you. I will be going to another center to donate from now on. read more

The people are good people. But I am Angry! And not just with the waiting to donate. However, this does not mean that I will stop donating. I do it because after learning what it does and how it helps, it is amazing to know that I can possibly impact someone in such a positive way. An Important way. My complaint and problem is that I recently was attempting to donate and the attendant was having a difficult time locating a vein. When she did, She did not get a Flash Back as they call it. What ended up happening was I ended up having Blood release under the skin. I ended up with a pretty good size lump under my skin. The attendant did this to both of my arms. Twice on the second arm. I ended up with several puncture marks and within a day some very serious bruises, I attempted to return to donate the next Saturday and was turned away because of the huge bruises on both arms. Several staff members saw them. I was told that I would not be able to return until they went away. The Nurse showed how they measure this. It will take at least 3-4 weeks. I was already a week into it at the time the staff saw the bruising still there. Responses were. "OH my God" and, "What happened"? Donating because I can help is great. However this is December. I am disabled, and I really counted on the money for Christmas. I have also been relying on this money for co-pays at my Doctors appointments. I won't lie, it's not much, but it helps. I have repeatedly tried to talk to the Mgr. at this location and am being ignored very obviously. Had it not been for the problem caused by the staff member, I would absolutely be earning that money. When a person spends 3-4 hours waiting and donating. I would say it is earned. Yes? So now I am just angry. I guess I try at the Corp. level now. I will always recommend a person making donations of this sort. But I want my problem resolved. Give me the respect that your signage states all over the walls in your locations. I am not asking for free money. Just the respect of an offer of what I would have earned. That is not to much to ask. Show some professionalism. They know who I am and my number. I have left it enough. And I have always been polite myself when I have called or left messages. I may be angry at being ignored. But I do not want to take away from who I am. Nor do I want people to read this and believe this is typical of all locations. What I have learned about what my donation can do will make me a lifer. God knows what can be done in a few years with this research. Much respect to those that have been in it for years. read more

Most of the time, I have a great experience here, but today was absolutely the worst donation experience and it wasn't like it was really busy! The phlebotomist was quick to put me in a bed, but I waited 45 minutes to get stuck!!! Because they were too busy talking with each other and regulars, and playing around. WTF?
