(which was quick compared to other heating companies we contacted.) Luis, the gentleman who came out, was awesome. As soon as I described the symptoms you could see a light bulb go on over his head. He crawled under our house and came back out about 5-10 minutes later with a solution and a quote. They did an AC check on Wednesday. The next morning our heat would not work - This has never happened before. Call to Freedom was so unhelpful. Woman on the phone insisted it was not their problem and that we were being "unreasonable"! We returned home from a trip late on a Friday in January only to find that we had no heat. Our thermostat was working but the heater wouldn't turn on. Every place we called said it would be 5-7 days before they could send anyone. Freedom Heating was also booked. I asked them to call if they had any last minute cancellations. The staff was very understanding. They called us back about an hour later to let us know that they just had a cancellation and were able to send someone on the same day. I have used freedom heating for almost twenty years for annual service of our three rentals and residence. They are courteous prompt and thorough. Very good company highly recommend for any heating needs. They came out today as I had heard about "zone heating" to talk about it. The technician was very honest and explained why for my situation that wasn't practical. He didn't try to sell me anything and even caught a small leak in duct which he fixed for free. Freedom Heating installed a second furnace for our home and I couldn't be happier. The installation was done quicly, professionally, and even the duct work was done better than I had hoped. We are sooo much more comfortable in our home in the winter than we used to be and our bill has dropped dramatically as well. When we built our house in '03 I installed a small funace because we also installed a fireplace insert that I wrongly assumed would help heat the downstairs since it was supposed to be able to heat 1,700sq. ft. Unfortunately the insert directed heat right up the stairs at the thermost, which would then turn off the furnace, so frustrating. Our little furnace just couldn't handle the whole house and we were absolutley miserable downstairs in winter due to the perpetual shade and our frozen slab floors. Bruce added another furnace in our garage that just heats the downstairs and we are so much happier now. Instead of keeping the little funace upstairs going all the time to try to heat the house we closed all the vents downstairs and just use the little furnace to keep the upstiars warm which it can handle easily. We program our new furnace to kick on 10 minutes before breakfast and dinner and it warms the place instantly, if we are watching TV downstairs we kick it up a degree or two and it warms the place up nice and toasty! We don't use it much so it doesn't cost much and our upstairs furnace doesn't work half as hard so it's saved us around $50 or more a month in the winter so not only are we enjoying our new house a lot more(not to mention the inlaws who always froze when they visited) it will eventually pay for itself!!! Freedom Heating is as good as it gets. Bruce, the owner, is as honest as the day is long so let him check out your situation and if he says he can help, believe him. Just an update from my previous reviews. I had another company come to fix my furnace yesterday and was STUNNED at what they found. 1) The filters were NOT changed last year as part of the service even thought I paid for it. It's obvious they haven't been changed in years. 1 of them was the wrong filter in the first place - not inserted properly and causing problems. 2) The reason I have NO HEAT in my dining room is because its wired to the WRONG Zone. The ducts are connected to the BEDROOM ZONE - not the LIIVNG AREA ZONE. So I never have heat when I heat the living area - but I heat the dining room and kitchen area all night while I have the bedroom zone running. Now that makes sense doesnt it? 3) The furnace had some kind of leak inside and you can see where someone has cleaned up and then tried to hide the internal water damage. No one ever informed me of that little issue as they serviced the furnace. I am so disappointed. But At least now I can fix the issues I've had since the system was first installed - without buying a bigger furnace as the Freedom tech tried to convince me to do a few months after this install.
