Raymond installed a ceiling fan in our home in a spot with no existing wiring. He arrived on time and was quiet, quick and clean. The fan looks great and of the 3 quotes we got he was the cheapest by far. We will call Raymond for any other electrical work we need in the future. read more

I had them come in and put up a couple of track lights. It took him 20 minutes to fix it. They ARE VERY VERY VERY EXPENSIVE. They charged me $250 for 15 minutes work. I was not here when he took the check from my spouse. She was shocked and I am shocked! Electricians charge $80 to $90 per hour. They did a good job but THEY RIP people off! We are not idiots! You have been warned! read more

What a slap in the face. We got an outrageously high quote to install ceiling light/fans in our new offices a few miles from our home, where they worked last time. It was obvious Ray didn't want to do it (he was too busy, it was too small of a job, and we are out of his way) so he quoted high instead. It was terribly insulting, considering we were repeat customers. The leased rooms didn't come with any ceiling lights and we needed installation we could trust. The only reason it's three stars and not two is because he did call and follow up -- showed enough concern to do that -- to see if we'd found anyone else and would be ultimately willing to pay his price if we had to. No way. It would have been better to just use floor lamps. The solution ended up being a sweet gentleman found on Craigslist who drove 70 miles each way and charged only 1/5 the Bay Light quote (yes, you read that right!). One fifth! He wasn't a big name company, but he was available on a Saturday and did an excellent job without complaining. I know big jobs have the priority and if someone doesn't have time, they don't have time (neither did our other electrician that we called). But to inflate the price so severely instead of just turning down the work is crummy. read more

I guess even Yelp isn't always right. Had scheduled to meet Raymond at 5, and even rushed home to meet him. But I receive the text at 6 that says he won't arrive until 7. With babies at home and family in town, that was the worst possible time - right in the middle of bathing kids and sitting down to eat dinner. Hate to be the lone dissenter here, but I've got a bad taste in my mouth. Raymond response to me when I texted "Do you still want this job?" was "I'm going home." Well, I'm going to look for another electrician. read more

Bay Light Electric is the electrician we hired for a 200 AMP Service Upgrade, dedication to the appliances within our home, four new exterior outlets and new light fixtures for each side of the garage door. Initial phone contact was with Raymond, who 30 minutes after talking to him on the phone was at our site to review the scope of work. We received an estimate via e-mail on the same day which itemized what they were going to do; we accepted the proposal. He showed up on time with his crew, Albert and Jose, all three were always on time and polite. When talking to him throughout the job he did not hesitate to answer questions about other problems we were having with electrical. He worked well with the City inspectors and was familiar with Silicon Valley Power (City of Santa Clara provides electrical to us, not PG&E). The stucco guy he used did a great job. The amount of sheet rock removed to reach wiring was nominal compared to what other electricians had proposed or flat out said was too hard to reach and then offered inflated prices. Overall the Bay Light Electrical team was responsive, neat, thorough, professional and completed the job for the proposed price. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone having residential electrical work done. We have found our electrician for life! :0) read more

Great Job again from Bay light electric. This time i got my TV mounted and had an AC power conditioner line component box installed. Great work, timely fashion, careful and cleanup was a snap. Awesome to deal with and look forward to working with them again for my future projects including sound system install and bar lighting!! read more

I recently just had recessed lighting put into my condo and I would like to give 6 stars if it were possible. I had searched around and got several estimates, and Bay Light Electric was the lowest price, with the highest reviews. I called Raymond and he came by on short notice to discuss the placement of the lights. They got to work that weekend and did an awesome job. I live in the middle of a 3 story unit with sprinklers, ducts, and all sorts of pipes running through. Regardless of all the obstacles, they installed all the lights perfectly, and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend these guys if you are deciding to put in recessed lighting! read more

Raymond is the BEST!! He installed recessed lighting in my condo and I absolutely love it! All of the alignment of the lighting is sharp and he helped me make a judgement on how many lights he thought would be enough. After he left, I realized it would be great if I had a dimmer on my lights. I called him and he scheduled time the same week to come in and swap the lights and put in a dimmer. If you are looking for the best quality work and most reasonable price, hit up Raymond!! read more

Reliable, Punctual, Honest, Fair... the list goes on and on! I contacted Bay Light Electric via their website Raymond was very upfront about his availability he was able to squeeze me in that same week! Their prices were very fair and he made everything crystal clear... from what needed to be done to what the final cost would be. We had about 15 outlets replaced, and troubleshooting for another some that weren't working. He completed all of the repairs in a very timely manner and got everything back in working order. The work they did was superb! He was very friendly and personable, and he didn't leave a mess behind when the work was done. Genuinely nice guy doing electrical work the way it should be done. I highly recommend Bay light Electric to anyone needing electrical work. read more

Raymond does good, honest work. His price for replacing my electrical panel was very fair, relative to the other quotes I got. He demonstrated excellent management of the project, taking care of arrangements with the city and PG&E, and performing much of the prep ahead of when PG&E scheduled the work to be done. Raymond was very responsive throughout, was very accommodating schedule-wise, and treated my property with care. I definitely appreciated him making this easy for me. read more

Bay Light Electric did a fantastic job for our recent (Emergency) electrical needs. They were able to come to site, estimate the job and get back to us with a quote within 1.5 hour window when we made the call. Their professional staff showed up on time once we approved the estimate and started working on the project and everything was up and running smoothly ever since. I would highly recommend Bay Light Electric, Inc not only because of that quick response but also having such fantastic staff and very professional while being so friendly! Thanks for everything, Raymond!!!! read more

I have had a bad experience with electricians in my past and ever since I had Raymon and his team everything has been great has never have to come back to fix anything he had installed. Him and his team have installed Track lights, fans, and most recently installed my ring floodlight camera fixtures around my house. Im glad to know there is still honest electricians out there thank you Raymon read more

This is the best company to contact if you have any electrical needs. I called them and they showed up to my house within 3 hours and took care of electric shortage I had in my house. They are honest and make sure the problem is resolved before they leave your property. I highly recommend this company to anyone that needs an electrician in the Bay Area. Thank you again for taking care of business. read more

Imagine in the middle of the important meeting, suddenly half of your house gets dark and no electricity at all. Beakers are fine and you have no clue , what's going on. Got on yelp and called few companies and they were all busy. Finally got to Bay Light Electric. They showed up within 30 min and replaced and defective braker on the panel and we were up and running again. Thank you Bay light. You're on my speed dial now. read more

Ray completed a panel upgrade for us. His quote was the lowest of the seven that I solicited in the San Jose area (including most of the high-rated Yelp companies). He was easy to work with and prompt to return emails and telephone calls. When the time came to begin the project, Ray showed up on time and completed the work on schedule. As an added bonus, the stucco repair guy that Ray recommended did great work at a great price as well. He quoted me on Friday and showed up the next morning at 8:30 to complete the work. Great service Ray. Thank you. read more

Raymond was quick to figure out exactly how our electrical issue caused most of our appliances to go out. Will definitely use Bay Light Electric for our future electrical needs! read more

This is crazy business. They won't give me a written proposal and estimate, only verbally. After my insisting over the phone, Albert said that the company is too busy to write it and can only give me verbally. read more

We have tried many electricians before. Raymond has been the best of all. His pricing is very competitive and he could beat potentially any pricing out there. He is very upfront about the material cost and he shows you the cost of the same based on your request. Bottom line - Dont waste your time looking for a good Electrician. Call Raymond and strike a good deal with him. Very happy with the work he did at our place ! read more

I would give 10 stars if I can. I am very impressed with Raymond's work. He is a thorough professional and I really liked his work. I called so many people to get recessed lighting installed in my house, lot of companies here with 5 stars did not even bother to reply my calls and others whom I have talked to are way too expensive and they said we just install lights you need to hire to fix any kind of patchwork if sheet rock chips etc etc and they just wanted to nickle and dime you for every change. Raymond is the only one person who gave me reasonable quote over the phone so I called him to check the house and he quickly told me how many I need and the complete estimate and if I am good with estimate he said he can come next day to start work. I asked him to come and he said he will come at 9 AM and he was right at the door at 9 AM and he finished the work on time and he cleaned up his work. And my old house had some challenges and he did not even complained about it and found ways to do the job. From now on any electrical work in my house will go to Raymond. read more

Ray is enthusiastic, energetic, and knowledgeable...!!! I love his positive attitude and sense of humor... I initially hired him to work on a couple of small projects for me, but then I was so impressed by his work that not only he has been working on all of my projects, but I have also referred him to many places - residential or commercial - confidently. If you need someone knowledgeable who knows how to get the job done efficiently with a quite reasonable price, then I strongly recommend contacting Raymond at Bay light Electric. read more

I hired Bay Light Electric for a commercial job we had and they were very professional in all aspects of the work. We passed the inspection easy. I recommend them to those who are looking for a good electrical contractor. read more

We got our house lights done by Bay Light Electric. It was recessed lights, center lights, pendant lights and chandelier. We moved to the new house and house was missing lights in almost all rooms. Raymond and his team did a fantastic job of helping us to plan and did excellent work in installing various lights. Great and quality work! He along with his team arrived on time and finished the job timely and very cleanly. Work required wiring through dry walls and attic. He did a great work of wiring through the walls and attic. Also material used was top quality. In addition his cost is very competitive. We found it to be better than our quotes we received from various other companies. We are happy that we found him and got the job done by him. It is a great combination of quality and cost. Would definitely recommend him to others and will use his service in future as well. Thanks Raymond! read more

Raymond and his assistant are probably the best contractors we have used at our house. We used them to install recessed lighting in our main room and hallway. They are very professional and courteous. They installed our recessed lighting with care for our property. They covered the work area with a cloth and did all the clean-up afterwards. They also measured out the room and showed me various options for the layout. In the hallway they showed me the right places to put the lights to maximize the effect. Another good thing about Bay Light is that they show up when they say they will show up. No waiting around. Finally, I had some other electrical items at my house that needed to be looked at. They spent the time to look at and fix an outside sensor light as part of the overall project. They took care of fixing the light as a courtesy. We will definitely use Bay Light Electric for future projects. read more

Raymond was great! We wanted to get recessed lighting done in our living area. Most of the electricians were were super expensive (almost twice of what Raymond quoted us) . Raymond was kind enough not only to give us an amazing deal but also started our work in just 2 days. He moved our existing furniture from the living room and made sure that the room is back to its normal settings before he left. He finished installing 8 recessed lights that were perfectly aligned in our living room within 2-3 hours. Totally Clean Job. When we saw the recessed lighting fixtures, we couldn't be happier. Great job and reasonable prices. read more

This review is a few months over due. We hired an electrician to install our new convection oven and he royally screwed up. I called Hewlett Electric to see if they were available but they couldn't help me out :( However, they referred me to Bay Lights Electric and it is by far one of the best referrals ever. I left a message for Ray and he called me back within a reasonable time. I explained to him the situation over the phone and by noon he was at my shop. He explained the issue, the solution, and the different options we had before purchasing parts. Ray is a very honest businessman, the kind that no longer exists, but most of all he is competent and professional. I will be referring him to friends, family and business partners. Thanks Ray! read more

I have been looking for an electrician who can do repairs for commercial customers. After running into an electrical problem at out business, I talked to several electricians who told me that they no longer do commercial jobs. Luckily I was referred to to Bay Light electric. I got an appointment with Raymond for early the next morning and he was right on time. He identified the problem easily (It turned out to be heat related.) In the end having cooled down he said the part didn't need to be replaced, but recommended better cooling/ventilation in the equipment room, and didn't charge us for coming out. It's been a good while and we haven't had any problems since then. I will definitely be calling Bay Light Electric next time we need electrical work done. read more

If you want Excellent quality work at affordable price then Raymond is the man! Raymond and his team installed recessed lighting at our house. More than 50 lights. Raymond was very quick in responding to my request for quotes. He quoted the fair price and guaranteed the quality work. When awarded the contract, he and his team was always on time. Through out the process Raymond and his team was very accommodative of small changes and also offered professional recommendations.
