I called One10 to complete my Tesla Charger installation, which I was doing on my own, but decided it was a bad idea. Lex did a great job wrapping up my project and gave me some pointers on patching up the drywall and getting everything ready for the permit. I also needed some info on upgrading my home power and he gave me very reasonable quotes and a lot of good info to think on. Lex not only was the best electrician, but he was a kind human being. Background story: we purchased a home built in the 1960s and renovated with a low life GC named, Mike. He took all our money and promised us a newly renovated home. But what he left us was a house of horrors. The electrical wires were spliced, connected incorrectly, hanging in the crawl space underneath water pipes- which COULD have been disastrous if a rodent chewed on the wires and had water dripping on them, one of us would have been electrocuted! We were lucky enough to have been introduced to Lex who explained these issues to us. We had no idea about these issues because we never checked the crawl space! Lex was able to fix all the loose hanging cables in our crawl space, he checked our attic, and main panel too. He gave us a fair estimate AND completed within the said time frame of the project. Retrofit to LEDs project. Lengthy review. Cliff Notes: Yes I would recommend ONE10. Professional, accommodating, competitive pricing/budget friendly, and great workmanship. My home is 2009 built home with a neighbor above me, so no attic space. First of all the builder installed these ridiculous fluorescent recessed lights where the replacement bulbs (4 pin -G24q-3 PLT26 26w max 120v) became hard to find with time and were expensive. Then low and behold the first ballast went out. I tried to gain access to change it out myself, but no luck! Because these recessed lights were put in at frame stage, the ballasts are not easily accessible. Yes, I did attempt DIY and watched a lot of YouTube videos, but decided to leave it to the professionals. Now for perspective, I am not person who is not rolling in dough. Single income, I do not have a sugar daddy, and I don't have the funds readily available. So what did I do...I let the lights go out one by one until I could no longer function with the remaining lights. Initially I started with the fluorescent light replacements in the house (10) and held off on the other recessed lights (8) in the house with the Edison type sockets. I didn't know if the project would require cutting into the drywall and I didn't want my entire ceiling torn apart. I didn't know who to hire for this project, so I took my chances with Yelps Light/Electrician request a quote service. Some businesses didn't respond, some businesses said they were too busy to do such a small job, some quotes were way too high for my budget, but ONE10 responded timely, professionally and with a reasonable quote. This was done all over electronic correspondence through YELP. It was a smooth process. I asked if a site visit could be done to see if there could be any unforeseen things I might have missed that might increase the estimate (sorry girl on a budget) and Lex did. Lex, the owner of ONE10, accommodated me and my hectic work schedule. He said he could do the job, no need to cut up any drywall which is something he prides himself for. I read the reviews (don't be fooled by the limited number, he has the experience and I promise you ONE10 deserves all 5 Stars), did my research, and took a chance with ONE10. I am glad I did! After doing phase 1, the first 10 lights, at the end of the job, I said I would be hiring him to complete the rest! He came on time, fully equipped and prepared, was meticulously clean, and respectful of my home. I have a no shoes in the house policy, I did not have to make any request, Lex wore booties immediately after entering! I truly appreciate this gesture. Brownie points! It may have taken me 6 months to do phase 2 (the remaining 8 lights), but I did call on ONE10 for the completion of the lighting in my home. Now all my lights are uniform and I am happy. I contracted Lex Saulus (One10) to install new and retrofitted recessed lights in my home. He quoted me a price after I had sent him pictures and videos for the work. I also asked him to take a look at the job before we signed the contract. He visited the site and found some additional items which required to be covered, but he honored the original price and quoted me separately for the additional scope of work. The final quote was very competitive. We mainly communicated over texts and emails. All through the process of negotiations, Lex was extremely professional and courteous. I requested him to avoid cutting open the drywall, as much as possible. On the day of the installation, he and his crew of 2 (his young sons learning the trade from the father) was punctual to the dot.
