This would make the movie 1/2 normal cost. The ticket person and the concessions crew had no information. It was R rated. I saw Fantasy Life released in 2024. It involved life & times of a New York Jewish family interacting with a male nanny (Manny?) in New York and St Martha's Vineyard. There was at least 30 people joining me in the theater. They also screen older movies like Red with Diane Keaton and Warren Beatty being screened next week. I plan to return.

Also, the seats do not recline and if you get unlucky and someone is sitting in front of you, you barely see the screen. I have never had this problem before at AMC theaters. We had a paid event for a movie at the pool. The tech showed up 20 minutes late and was not…read moreprepared at all! First, he did not have enough stakes to safely secure the screen down. He only did the front of the screen. Had the wind changed direction, the entire screen would have fallen on all of our guests. After I provided enough stakes the make it safe, he realized he did not have the right sound cords. We had NO SOUND for our outdoor movie. The techs only solution was to drive back to warehouse 45 minutes away and get the correct cord. It would have taken him nearly two hours to get the correct cord, which would have made my family friendly movie starting at midnight. Luckily, our venue holds many events and we were able to provide the tech with the appropriate sound cords. Once we were finally able to start the movie (45 minutes past the scheduled time) he realized he did not have any batteries in his remote to start the movie. Once again, I was scrambling to provide something the company should have already had. The next day I called the company to tell them of all the issues we had with our event and see if I could be compensated anything given the fact that I provided half of the equipment in order to show the movie. Management did not seem to care that I had provide so many things for the movie. They offered to take $100 off my next rental but there was not going to be a next rental. I was told they would speak with their supervisor and call me back the following day. Two full weeks later, I had to follow up to see where the situation stood. I had to remind the manager of the entire situation as she could not recall any of the facts and still gave me the same information the as she did the first time. Apparently I was just supposed to send 200+ guests home and reschedule the event for another time. This was a paid event, I would have had to refund multiple people and I would have lost money. Had I not covered the tech with all of the equipment, the movie would not have played. I understand things come up and mistakes happen but management did not do anything to make the situation right. They were perfectly fine with losing a customer. Needless to say, I would never recommend Fun Flicks due to their techs being unprepared and management not making the situation right and taking nearly 3 weeks to return a call.

And there is a nearby train that created some noise a few times during the movie. But honestly, we had the BEST time. We took our doggies, they are dog friendly! And the staff was VERY nice. Although, the food, is kind of disappointing. They do allow you to bring in your own food for a modest $10 fee. If you bring in food, just pay it! It supports the business. We grabbed nachos too and it was just a bag of tortilla chips with a tiny plastic container of cold nacho cheese. Paid extra for jalapeños which is ridiculous really. They literally beg people on their website to buy from the snack bar, but it sucks so much...I tried asking for new popcorn but they said that it would all taste the same... Thankfully, I was able to find another one, but overall, I wish they would've figured this out sooner, as to not add more stress to party planning. It would have also been considerate to recommend alternative companies, rather than say that there was nothing they could do about it.
