Freedom Fun has always come through for our school. We are the PTO and use them for fun events. We had a foam party and the kids loved it!.

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Fun for special movie outings…read more We came to see Guillermo Del Toro's "Frankenstein" with our friends and it did not disappoint. We've been to the downtown LA one a couple of times and the drill was the same: You start by scanning the QR code and making the initial order, then during the movie you write down your order on the provided pad and pressing the service call button. You have 20 minutes after the movie ends to settle up your bill; after that they will close it out for you with 20% gratuity. We ordered: - Spicy ranch popcorn (spicy! It's a dry powder so I should've gotten some light butter on it to hold the powder to the popcorn--we kept accidentally inhaling it, doh) - Churro crunch popcorn (not too sweet, with slight salty notes that gave it a really nice touch) - Vegan cauliflower bites with celery and fries (the gochujang sauce was a little too sweet and the fries were limp--just meh) - I got a Pilsner, hubby got an IPA The food was just ok but the service and atmosphere were great. The seats weren't THE most comfortable recliners, as they didn't recline quite as much as the AMC chairs we were used to, but they were fine. One of the best things at these theaters is the 15-20 minute montage they show before the movie that's related to the feature--worth getting there early for. Some of the clips they included were really obscure and funny, like the one from the 1960s where Frankenstein goes to college and becomes a party animal, lol.

BACKYARD MOVE NIGHT! Five star concept, 4 star execution. Call FunFlicks: They will (impersonally…read moreand robotically and probably electronically) set up an event for you. It will be so impersonal, that you will not be sure you are set up until a live person actually shows up at your door. What they do: They show up with a giant blow up screen that will fill your back yard. Then they attach speakers that rock your house and sound like the inside of the theater. Then they project the movie of your choice.. Super fun.. This is my third event, and I will keep using FunFLicks, though I hope they improve their pre-event communications in the future.

We had a paid event for a movie at the pool. The tech showed up 20 minutes late and was not…read moreprepared at all! First, he did not have enough stakes to safely secure the screen down. He only did the front of the screen. Had the wind changed direction, the entire screen would have fallen on all of our guests. After I provided enough stakes the make it safe, he realized he did not have the right sound cords. We had NO SOUND for our outdoor movie. The techs only solution was to drive back to warehouse 45 minutes away and get the correct cord. It would have taken him nearly two hours to get the correct cord, which would have made my family friendly movie starting at midnight. Luckily, our venue holds many events and we were able to provide the tech with the appropriate sound cords. Once we were finally able to start the movie (45 minutes past the scheduled time) he realized he did not have any batteries in his remote to start the movie. Once again, I was scrambling to provide something the company should have already had. The next day I called the company to tell them of all the issues we had with our event and see if I could be compensated anything given the fact that I provided half of the equipment in order to show the movie. Management did not seem to care that I had provide so many things for the movie. They offered to take $100 off my next rental but there was not going to be a next rental. I was told they would speak with their supervisor and call me back the following day. Two full weeks later, I had to follow up to see where the situation stood. I had to remind the manager of the entire situation as she could not recall any of the facts and still gave me the same information the as she did the first time. Apparently I was just supposed to send 200+ guests home and reschedule the event for another time. This was a paid event, I would have had to refund multiple people and I would have lost money. Had I not covered the tech with all of the equipment, the movie would not have played. I understand things come up and mistakes happen but management did not do anything to make the situation right. They were perfectly fine with losing a customer. Needless to say, I would never recommend Fun Flicks due to their techs being unprepared and management not making the situation right and taking nearly 3 weeks to return a call.

One of the best bucket list items to do in the summertime! They played two feature films (1st one…read morekid-friendly and the 2nd more adult/horror movie), the price was so good, and the snacks they provided were nice! Such a fun experience to do on a sunset summer night with friends, family, and your dog. The only thing is, depending on the movie and the time of summer/year, it'll be very crowded, so make sure to get there early to wait in line, or it'll fill up, and they'll turn you away. But overall, now it's a Denver staple for me, and I will go back every year!

This isn't a drive-in theater, it's a parking lot with commitment issues…read more You pull up thinking it's gonna be a cute nostalgic night, and instead you're sitting there listening to radio static like you're trying to contact aliens instead of watch a movie. You spend half the time adjusting the station, the other half wondering if that buzzing is part of the film or just the speakers fighting for their life. The screen so dim you're not watching a movie--you're guessing the plot based on silhouettes. At this point you're just there for vibes... and even the vibes are questionable. And the bathrooms?? Why does every drive-in bathroom feel like it's been through a natural disaster. Clogged toilets, dim lighting, and the smell hitting you like a jump scare--more horror than whatever's playing on the screen. Snack bar acting like it's gourmet too... charging premium prices for stale popcorn that crunches like packing peanuts and pretzels so salty they could de-ice the whole parking lot. Honestly, it's not even a throwback experience... it's a throwaway experience. I used to love this place but it's gone down hill. Also, charging 10$ for a "food permit" is actually crazy.
