I had such a great time at Sandbox, thank you for hosting us! Full of fun, excitement, and the ultimate virtual reality experience. So neat to feel the realism of the game. The employees are super helpful getting the equipment and game set up. I would highly recommend for those looking for a fun date night with your spouse or friends & family. Be prepared to laugh, scream and squeal! I even made it in 3rd place on the score board for Deadwood Mansion. Will definitely be back soon! Thanks again!

This was my 1st time. It was definitely an experience and so fun. There was 6 of us that played and putting our skill to the test killing zombies.. our host gave us good all the information we needed to know about what to do and how to play. Helps us when we need over great experiences and must try with friends or maybe even a date night. I was able to capture a few photos

SO MUCH FUN! I wanted to keep playing and was so bummed when it was over! - My husband and I are prone to motion sickness but felt great the whole time! - You move a lot and some of the weaps have some weight to them which makes for a great cardio workout!! - The rooms you play in are huge and the haptic sensors make it easy to move around the other players. Very immersive and you forget you're playing a video game! - We played Rebel Moon and got to choose our avatar and pews! - They take your headshot at the start which will be shown next to your avatar in the highlight reel. - You get 3 videos to keep at the end: highlight reel, highlight reel with split screen, and selfie reel (with headshot avatar "selfies" and Fortnite type dance you get to record at the end). - Stats shown at end and MVP gets video highlight. - Staff are really friendly and helpful. TJ was awesome and we will definitely be booking again. We want to try them all!!!

I learned of this place during a Yelp Elite event that I enjoyed immensely. I returned today as a birthday present to myself. I wanted to play "Seekers of the Shard" and I got my wish. We were met by TJ who was our scenario master. TJ was funny, light hearted and very good at his job. After we got all our equipment on, we entered the room, ready for combat. I cannot describe how fully immersed one becomes in these VR worlds. It's a complete 3D world and the experience is surreal. I take felt like I was fighting monsters and dragons. At the end of the day, we captured the shard and slayed the dragon. The after action video they make of the fun that transposes the game with your actions in the real world are amazing. It's really fun to watch. They even managed to get my birthday into the video which caught me off guard and was fun. Thank you TJ for making my birthday event so much fun. I love this place. Killing zombies is next.

I'd only done VR once in Indiana (LOVED the experience) so I was nervous about trying somewhere new. While going through the booking processed, I called to ask if my partner and I could share one VR station, and they were totally fine with this. Made sense once I got there, but it wasn't clear on the website. Overall the booking process and check-in was seamless. Plenty of parking in this shopping center. It wasn't very busy when we walked in. Kaboom seemed to be populated by lots of regulars using it as a cyber cafe (feels like high school) but we were greetly warmly and given a quick and thorough orientation. The variety of games was just okay, but honestly as long as a VR system has an escape room, I'm pretty happy. The VR headsets were corded and the ceilings were relatively low, both of which contributed to my feeling claustrophobic, but I like how each station is sectioned off. There are also couches where you can sit and watch your friend's experience on small TVs mounted next to their station. Minus how stressful immersive escape rooms can be, it was a fun and chill time. I'd love to come here with more people and make a party out of it... nerds unite!

Both of us had done VR before, but here you are given a room and can pick from many different games and experiences. It was a ton of fun, and not that expensive. We all had a great time playing the games, and it was a super unique experience. I'd definitely come back. Would also be a fun spot to take younger kids, as they have kid-friendly games. But also fun for adults or date nights! Loved that the games had physical activity- squats and running around the box. It was fun competition. It's also located in a spot with plenty of things to do after, including restaurants to eat/grab a drink.

Personally enjoyed the Alien one more as I felt the Ghostbusters one was repetitive in some parts. Experience: Instructions are clear. Good pacing and very engaging. Space: Space is good for two. Was running into each other with three people. I feel like it would be too crowded with 4+ people on certain game activities. It kinda got stuffy in the room after 30 minutes, so it would be nice if there were bigger fans on the ceiling, ventilating the air more. Drinks: Pricey. Basic alcoholic and non alcoholic option. Nothing super exciting. There's a drink holder shelf in the game rooms. Extra note: Cancellation policy is very stringent. We added two friends to our reservation on the day of the reservation and a few hours later, they couldn't make it due to a sudden medical reason. Even though these changes all happened on the day of, they would not make any exception. Only offered the option of rescheduling them in the future by emailing the manager. Keep that in mind when you make a reservation.

I love that there's free parking and plenty of it since it's in the DTC. The bartenders make some pretty damn good drinks. I enjoyed my spicy margarita. There's not enough space to enjoy all of the arcade games because my friend and I felt very squished in towards Galaga and Qbert. The biggest downfall is having to buy tokens to play the games instead of just using quarters. I've never tried the food at any of the 1UP locations. Despite this, if you go anytime during the afternoon/early evening, you'll have plenty of kids there which are supposed to be supervised by their parents but nobody really abided by that rule. All of the games were about the same price you'd find at any arcade. The selection of games were a little underwhelming and all of the claw machines and prize games ran off of a pay-out which meant it wouldn't let you win until it got enough money in it which I thought was pretty lame. The bar itself had some nice deals. If you're looking for a spot to enjoy a beverage and play some games, this place seems like a hit or miss. Also, for an arcade with lots of kids, the amount of vulgar drawings and language in the restrooms were very off-putting. I feel like this place does really well in their other location in downtown Denver, but in Greenwood Village, it is out of place, and just doesn't hit the mark.
