I booked a private experience for me and my friend and she had a blast. We chose the Seekers of the Shard and woah...it gets you a lot more tired than the other scenarios. You're constantly using ur arms to wield the ax versus just shooting a gun. It's also cool to choose your own adventure during the experience. I have tried VR at home in the past and I will say this experience was quite different than the at home experience, in a good way. First and foremost, the staff is incredibly friendlyand helpful and they truly are there to make sure you have a great time. The rooms that they set you up in are very spacious. I had 6 people in my group and there was definitely enough room for all of us, but I feel like 4 people would be the perfect balance as I felt that at times, I was unable to really move around as freely as I wanted to without worrying about hitting someone else. But 6 is still very doable. The gear that they have you wear was comfortable. A note to anyone, the head piece can get a little tight after a while so make sure when they put it on you, it truly isn't too tight. The motion capture technology was very cool and pretty accurate. Seeing the others in your group in the vr space with 1 to 1 movement capture and accuracy was really quite a treat. My group chose the deadwood city zombie experience. It was definitely a shoot em up kind of experience. We each had guns and had to defend our teammates and the other NPCs from waves of zombies coming after us. The graphics were good and the gameplay itself was fun. The story was a bit predictable but that's ok. The staff member said the zombie experiences were supposed to be scary but I didn't find it scary at any point. The overall gameplay time is about 30 minutes, not counting the waiver and player setup time. Overall it's a fun experience for sure. The only reason I gave it 4 stars as opposed to 5 stars is I feel like the price is a little high for the actual game runtime. However, if you're looking for a fun time with friends or family and want to try something different and new, I'd suggest giving this experience a try for sure read more

I wanted to keep playing and was so bummed when it was over! - My husband and I are prone to motion sickness but felt great the whole time! - You move a lot and some of the weaps have some weight to them which makes for a great cardio workout!! - The rooms you play in are huge and the haptic sensors make it easy to move around the other players. Very immersive and you forget you're playing a video game! - We played Rebel Moon and got to choose our avatar and pews! - They take your headshot at the start which will be shown next to your avatar in the highlight reel. - You get 3 videos to keep at the end: highlight reel, highlight reel with split screen, and selfie reel (with headshot avatar "selfies" and Fortnite type dance you get to record at the end). - Stats shown at end and MVP gets video highlight. - Staff are really friendly and helpful. I learned of this place during a Yelp Elite event that I enjoyed immensely. I returned today as a birthday present to myself. I wanted to play "Seekers of the Shard" and I got my wish. We were met by TJ who was our scenario master. TJ was funny, light hearted and very good at his job. After we got all our equipment on, we entered the room, ready for combat. I cannot describe how fully immersed one becomes in these VR worlds. It's a complete 3D world and the experience is surreal. I take felt like I was fighting monsters and dragons. At the end of the day, we captured the shard and slayed the dragon. The after action video they make of the fun that transposes the game with your actions in the real world are amazing. It's really fun to watch. They even managed to get my birthday into the video which caught me off guard and was fun. Thank you TJ for making my birthday event so much fun. I love this place. Don't fall for the Bait and switch to get you to come back for a discount. They will not honor it. Nice comment below however I asked for the manager on staff. The representative said he was the assistant manager and would not uphold the discount. I will not be coming back so don't worry about trying to compensate me. This place is a mess! No one to help at entrance. Sign in didn't work. Tried to ask a question about my appt. and was met with "we are understaffed". Total confusion at entrance. People waiting and some walking out angry. Three employees running around trying to get people geared up but no one to coordinate anything. Completely ignoring incoming guests, appt. or not. Impossible to register for an appt. on line with gift cards so I paid full price even though I had bought gift cards the previous day. 3 or 4 phone calls unanswered and no return on messages left. No "management" visible on 2 visits. Really, this is one of the worst customer experiences (outside the VR rooms) one can have. I could go on but I've I've been clear and accurate on this place without wasting more time. read more

Took my 9-yr old son to check this out, and it was a really fun experience. Pricey, sure ($50-60 per person for 30 minutes), but this kind of technology isn't cheap to build or run. Great motion tracking and graphics, gear that lets you "feel" impact and even fans in the room that sync with game activity to feel like you're flying or moving fast. He loved it. We went during the week, so it was very private, no crowds. Totally worth it for your kids to experience cutting edge gaming tech. read more

We had a poor customer service experience at the Lone Tree location (B125). The manager, TJ, communicated misleading information regarding our reservation. We have family visiting from LA and Dallas to have a family outing. I hope other locations have better customer service. read more

Don't take reservations you can't keep. Yeah three people with reservations at 1:35 p.m. and see where rooms ready to go at 2 pm. My guess is we will be yearly an hour after our appointment time by the way things are going currently. If you like zombies, blood, gore and don't mind hearing others scream then you will love this place! I took my daughters and their husbands and we all had a BLAST!! I paid extra for the gun and it was well worth it as I beat my son-in-laws in more kills than them, and I'm the least fit of all of them, even though they had to save me more. My daughter was worried about motion sickness but she did great and only closed her eyes during the part of riding down the dark hallway while riding a platform then she was ready and participated in all of the ghouling fights. I was worried about the headset not fitting around my glasses but it was very comfortable, no issues at all. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are also cubbies in your room to hold your personal belongings, very safe and secure. We will definitely be back. read more

When I went this past winter, my gear kept failing. The staff said they'd be watching but they weren't. I was waving my arms around and finally got some help. Then it happened again and nobody came and I waited, continuing to try and signal someone, until finally I just took everything off. I think I had five minutes of play time with my family. Instead of a refund they offered me some kind of snack pack. I asked if there was a manager I could speak with and they said it was the kid who just left. I was totally disappointed and can't believe how much I paid to not even be able to play. While I was waiting I watched the staff just talk to each other and hardly pay attention to the people in the rooms. read more

what a horrible experience. My experience kept getting interrupted due to the video continuing to stop playing. We had to stop twice during the virtual reality game. For my troubles, I asked Max who was the virtual reality assistant if I could get a bottle of water on the house, she felt that she needed to tax her manager TJ. Once TJ got involved, he looked me in my eyes and said nope. he was very rude and unprofessional. I then asked for corporate office phone number and he said you can find it online yourself. Horrible customer service. I will not be coming back and I will spread the word of how horrible my experience was. Can't believe for my troubles he would not give me a free bottle of water. And then just be flat out rude about it. TJ should be fired. read more

In a nutshell Sandbox vr is a Great Place to go and to have fun. The staff are polite and helpful. The ambiance is pretty good, it's clean and modern. The vr setup is a Little different, you get to walk around in a room with prop weapons. The game is about 30 minutes long. And you are greeted with a game highlights video at the end. Pros, the staff are very friendly, the game is very immersive, the room is reserved so only one group at a time could play in a room, the reservation excepts a group of 2 to 6 people for normal reservations but for private events such as a birthday they except more people and your room is reserved for only your group. Cons, the headset might have a malfunction during the game but this is uncommon and usually gets fixed. The only other con is it's a little expensive. Overall I think I would recommend this place to other people if they want to have fun at Park Meadows Mall. read more

My wife and I had a really fun time here! They were having a couple technical issues leading up to our appointment, but they were ultra nice & made it easy for us to just hang out while things were resolved. Really, really nice employees. We did the pirate adventure, and it was great fun! Really nice props and immersion. Even if you have a VR headset at home, there's a lot more involved here, since you have physical props to hold / fire / swing, and the tactile vests feedback is really cool. We both noticed that at one point the fans along a wall kicked in to give an extra bit of immersion while seeing / hearing everything else in VR (we had been curious what they were for)! :) The only downside is that it's kind of a pricey experience for a half-hour, but when you consider all the high end hardware and software they are running in each of the rooms...it kind of makes sense. At least from my limited knowledge of working with / in VR & having a background in motion capture and Visual Effects, they're running some of the nicest motion tracking hardware (IR based cameras, pretty much what they use on high-end films), and it looks like they have a server rack with 3 PC's powering each space (up to 6 players each). Some of the equipment can likely be purchased as a home user (tactile vest, Vive [I think] headsets, etc) -- but having it all work together together in an experience is a whole other thing completely! My wife and I will most certainly go again at some point and try another adventure, though we figure we'll likely have to space out our visits since it is, after all, an expensive-ish luxury experience. Definitely worth experiencing, if you have in interest in this type of thing at all! :) read more

This experience was so much fun! I went with my sister toward the end of the night and we got our own room to shoot a bunch of zombies. They record you while you play and send you a free trailer of the experience at the end. That video was so funny! It's a little pricey, but ultimately worth it. Highly recommend. My boyfriends brother mentioned this place when we were trying to find something to do together.
