The smash room was a total hit, and the kids laughed and raged for a solid 35 minutes before throwing some axes. (Then Luke brought in some more crates for us parents to have our own smash party. AMAZING.) Luke and Tina, the owners, are so chill, happy, obviously love what they do and you can tell they just want everyone to walk out of there having a wonderful experience. We never felt rushed. The main room is clean, bright and airy, with arcade games that we could play while taking breaks. They let us bring in pizza, drinks and cake to celebrate. Great energy, great venue. I can't wait to go back with my girlfriends or even just my two teen boys and my husband for a family night. It was so easy going, so fun. It was everything we didn't know we needed- especially for family with older kids looking for something fun to do with them. OH... We arrived in Lyons and we're lucky enough to find parking right in front. The joint wasn't open yet so we strolled the street for about a half-hour and then it was time to get warmed up for competition. Everyone from the owners to the players was friendly and no one gave me stink-eye for not being a local. The venue, while tight, held a terrific variety of pinball machines that were in excellent condition. The only thing that I could possibly wish for was a drink holder on every machine. A minor quibble since most Pinball establishments don't offer any. I would most definitely stop in again if I were in the Luons area.

I am honestly flabbergasted by what we just experienced…read more My wife and I were watching Disclosure Day on her birthday before going to dinner. However, the theater was very warm and still. After about 30 minutes, my wife--who is always cold--started sweating and needed to step outside to cool down. She spoke with a very pleasant and professional young gentleman who immediately apologized and said he believed the A/C was having issues. My wife asked if we could come back later, and he said we could receive vouchers but would need to leave the theater. When she told me that, I decided we should take him up on the offer. Once we stepped out, we were told we had to wait in line at the concession stand for the vouchers. After waiting about 10 minutes, I asked to speak with a manager. Five minutes later, someone stepped out of the office. Before she even said a word, her body language made it clear she was annoyed. She never introduced herself--I had to ask her name. Rachel. What I cannot understand is why she chose the approach she did. She immediately insisted the A/C was working fine, yet later admitted there were cooling issues in the lobby. More importantly, she had not even bothered to walk in to the theater we were sitting in before deciding we were wrong. Things break. I get that. What I don't get is the attitude. The young employee handled the situation with professionalism and courtesy. Rachel did not. She came across as snarky, dismissive, and irritated that we were even raising the issue. When she finally provided the vouchers, it felt like she believed she was doing us a favor rather than addressing a legitimate customer concern. We had PAID for our movie and I am sure it doesn't come out of her check. Birthday movie and dinner with my wife is priceless. I have spent my entire life in customer service, and one thing I have learned is that customers are a gift, not an entitlement. We will simply vote with our wallets and not return to this location. I am disappointed not because the theater was warm, but because of how we were treated when we brought it to someone's attention.

Yup, Public Road isn't the widest street especially when you cover it with booths on both sides. It doesn't help that it's hot and people get bothered faster then usual. Sheesh, sorry my kids balloon flew in your face kill-joy!! :) Thank goodness we live walking distance since parking was pretty hectic. They were offering shuttle service for people's convenience. As we walked up coming from Baseline, we noticed that nearby restaurants were having their own peach themes and having booths out front to join in on the festivities and promote their business as well. Good for them! I'd do it too. The main promenade was littered with different vendors that sold everything you can think of. You had your novelty booths with all kinds of crafts and materialistic goodies, information booths for local businesses and different recreational activities, food vendors from all around to feed the masses with junk and savory treats, and there was even a Farmers Market area to get your fresh produce! Man, this thing stretched as far as the eye can see with booths and people alike! I was impressed with all the nifty selections and turnout. The peach theme was ringing all around us and the abundance of free goodies the event coordinators and vendors provided did not let down (so long as you approached them). I was a little bummed we didn't get to enjoy any music or see any entertainment on any of the stages. In fact, I didn't even hear a peep while passing by the noted stages. It's okay though because there's always next year when I have my husband with me to control the kids and ACTUALLY have a moment to check out a booth or two. The only things I can think of improving on is having more pit stops (bathrooms) for the public along the way. They can also use some musicians mixed throughout the booths to keep it upbeat and lively. But hey, there were plenty of people to eavesdrop on for a good laugh to make up for the lack of much needed sound that usually distracts people from their overspending and heat exhaustion. I can't help it, people tend to talk real loud! LOL!

But every single day, the staff at the restaurant is above and beyond excellent. Never had a bad experience. Club management tends to let kids slide on bad behaviors, watches groups of kids throwing rocks at bunnies (young rabbits) and does nothing, and teenagers frequently driving golf carts around the club drinking alcohol (especially on holidays with fireworks viewable at the course, it's carts packed with teens drinking). There is a common lack of respect for the game of golf with little help from management; teenagers riding carts at high speed for one. Highly recommend, amazing kid amenities at the restaurant (kids eat free Tuesdays!! Buffet!!) excellent social value. Just be prepared to play with folks who learned golf etiquette from Tiger Woods. Look elsewhere for true adult golf "by the rules" experience, but this is as family as you can get with no rules enforced. Views are endlessly beautiful and course well maintained. Of course, we started with a wonderful bottle of wine. Then for appetizers, we had the German Nachos. German you say? Well, instead of the usual tortilla chips, they lined the bottom with house made potato chips. Then it was layered with sausage, sauerkraut, tomatoes, beer mustard, onion jam, green onions, and cheddar cheese. What a great taste! We followed that up with Sushi Bites, which was a bit (or make that a bite) on top of crispy rice rounds, guacamole, sushi grade poke salmon, pickled ginger, and much more. Great flavor. For the entree, my wife and I shared the Chili Garlic Salmon. As you can tell by the name, the perfectly cooked Scottish Salmon was served over Coconut Jasmine Rice, and grilled Asparagus with Micro Greens. My cousin and wife each had Cod. This came with Miso Sauce, Japanese Wasabi, Mashed Potatoes, Snow Peas, Red Bell Peppers, Arugula, Carrots, and Micro Greens. They couldn't stop raving about it. Our server (did not get her name) was attentive and pleasant.
