Very affordable and provided great scares. Did an amazing job to create the haunted ambience. Would recommend again!

My ear to ear small was one of pure delight. I was so happy to be there and just so excited about the terrific job that was done. I can't recommend the Frightmare Compound enough. We will definitely be back in October.

When we arrived, there are plenty of activies to do besides the trail...but I must say to go straight to the portable potties and then get in line. The time slot on the ticket doesn't really matter as the lines are pretty long. Ticket wise...you have 3 options to get and we got the middle VIP tickets. Our wait time was about 1.5 hrs in line. I can only imagine the wait time for standard tickets. As you walk through the line, there is music and the DJ was pretty good. Wished I brought some ear plugs as it was super loud as you snake through the line and got closer and closer to the speakers. So...get ear plugs! As for the trail, it was a fantastic haunted trail to go through. The stories of the staged rooms, the props, the people, the ambiance were all great. Upon entering. The staff did space out the groups a bit so that you dont see scares coming your way...props to the staff and spacing of groups! Several jump scares got me good and at the end, you get to see a museum. I would highly recommend for anyone to go and check this place out and if you can afford it, get the immediate access. If you are ok with time...bring some entertainment for you and your friends.

This year was the first year that I was aware that Loveland may have had any haunted house…read moreattractions for Halloween. Some friends of mine suggested we go here since it is in a really creepy and old building. Supposedly it is really haunted but we only went here for the haunted house and see fake ghouls and goblins and not real ones. The price for the tickets were only ten bucks. Unfortunately though you get what you pay for. The haunted house itself seemed thrown together and the actors were only so so. The lady that was selling tickets said that the actors were not the primary ones that night and it shows. As far as I know most haunted houses have actors that use the same basic elements. Get in a costume, scream, yell, roar, growl then get real close to the patrons and breathe down their neck BUT don't touch them(Back when I was a kid there were a lot less rules. People grabbed you in these places and scared the crap out of you! ). It is funny how those basic rules and criteria for a haunted house can make a world of difference to who the actor really is and how good it is at what they do. I mean I guess the haunted house was ok for what we paid for. There were a few creepy moments like actors jumping out and scaring while playing accordions and the animatronic props which flew above you, getting their robes in your face. Overall though I have seen better. I always had a relatively firm belief that the Fort Collins area which can include Loveland always had decent haunted houses. With CSU being in Fort Collins in the past there really have been great haunted houses that involved college students. The last two or three years though and especially this year the haunted houses in Northern Colorado seemed relatively weak and repeated. The ones that were around were either too much for kids(Not scary) or repeats of the same themes of previous years. At first I was wondering if I should even submit a review for this place but found out that they were around last year and are planning to be back next year. So it was not a seasonal, nameless haunted house after all and decided to review. The money does go to charity for the tickets but I did not catch which charity it did go to. This year overall seemed a definite downplayed Halloween. Places that were solid performers for a Hallows Eve fix fell short all the way around. Ever get the feeling that sometimes holidays sneak up on people and they throw together a hodge podge assortment and just does not deliver well at all to their fans and admirers. Hopefully my mainstays just had an off year. It happens. But the degree of disappointment resonated this year was deeper than usual and makes me wonder if I need some new Halloween attraction mainstays. I mean I think I could make a better haunted house than what they did here. The haunted attractions this year in Denver still seemed solid and enjoyable. No let downs. Perhaps I need to invest my money in Denver metros Halloween attractions and chock up Northern Colorado's haunted attractions to be a bust in the long term.
