Registering for a painting time was very easy and convenient. We knew in advance so i was able to book online. You can see what paintings that they will be doing on different days and different times. So simple! They send you a couple of reminder emails prior to your event. There are no refunds so just be sure you are solid about going ;) You can checkin up to 30 minutes prior to your paint time. This would be recommended. So you have time to settle in. Check out what you will be painting, maybe get some beverages. They have alcoholic and non alcoholic choices. Also some choices of like chips for food. Not sure what else there was. I had hot herbal lemon tea. Very tasty and a large glass of water. My husband got some wine. Your spot is clearly labeled on the table so if you are meeting others there be sure to note that in your reservation so you are seated together. Upon arrival, you check in with the person standing near the front door. They have your canvas, paints and paintbrushes already set up. They start the class on time so be sure to get there a little early. The atmosphere is relaxed. They do walk back and forth to show you what they are doing and the teacher is mic'd so hopefully everyone can hear what they are saying. The location was clean. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. We really enjoyed ourselves. I would come back for a date night or with a group. Prices were fair for a night out.

The show I saw was A Christmas Story, and while the classic movie translated to the stage better than I thought it would, I felt there were a few elements that should have been excluded - such as the racism in the Chinese restaurant scene, the sexism in just about every scene with women in it, the portrayal of smoking, and the overacting (even for a community theater production where part of the appeal is the campiness) that I honestly don't remember being present in previous shows I have been to. One last thing - if you are going to do a show that features a firearm (even an unloaded BB gun) for f*ck's sake please educate your actors on proper handling. The barrel of anything (even an unloaded BB gun) pointed in my direction is gut twistingly uncomfortable.

I thought the Dougherty Museum just housed antique automobiles and farm equipment. However, it also has collections of vintage organs, pianos, victrolas, clothing and furniture. It is family owned and operated, and this is the family's extensive collection. All of the automobiles are labeled. The label includes the name, year, original purchase price, where the item was purchased and if possible information about its connection to the local area. It's so well organized! You can sit on a vintage fire truck and ring the bell! Free water bottles are offered. They have a clean restroom, but I didn't see a lock. There are people there who are very happy to give you information about the collection. It is a cash only establishment. The current entry fee is $10. When you sign their guest book it gives you free return entry for the rest of the summer. They are only open on Saturdays and only open during the summer. There is free parking.

I had a fantastic time. The place is a little hard to find but just call and ask. He is hard of hearing so don't mind the stern voice. It was an experience like nothing else. It was so hands on (so incredible hot with the 2100 degree ovens), I got to pick my color and he guided every step of what I was doing course correcting when I messed up which I totally did. He is stern in his teaching but don't take anything personal. You are dealing with literally a slow moving liquid, near and in 2100 degree ovens and his sternness comes from wanting you to stay safe and also produce something truly beautiful yo can be proud of. The scariest part not being able to breathe! Yes there are actors but far and few between. Maybe 5 in the whole haunted house. Total waste of 75$ if you ask me. They don't even have a bathroom.
