My family and I purchased tickets to see The Sheep Detectives tonight in theater 4. We did not stay because there was a family in front of us who had two children between 10-13 years old running around, which didn't bother us too much because they stayed at the front of the theater and they were quiet. Maybe they have a hard time sitting still. I get it. What made us leave was the adult male with them started to snore loudly as the movie started. My husband and I tried to ignore it but my daughter could not. No big deal, let's just get a refund or tickets for another day. We walked out and talked to the person at the front desk to let him know the reason we were leaving. He said he needed to call the manager up about the situation. When the manager came up front his employee told him we wanted a refund. The manager did not ask us or him for a reason why. The manager did not even look at us or his employee. The manager seemed mad and not happy to be there. He begrudgingly gave the free passes to his employee and walked away. Never acknowledging us. My husband and I were surprised and disappointed with the managers actions. The managers behavior was off putting and I did not like the way he was dismissive to his employee. read more

I'm an AMC Stubs member and have given the Flatiron 14 location multiple chances, but my experiences here have been consistently disappointing. On a recent visit, I preordered popcorn and a soda. While the order was ready on time, the popcorn itself was terrible - it was mostly hard, tiny leftover pieces, like the scraps that sit at the bottom of the machine, not a fresh, full batch. As a paying member, that felt like very low effort and low quality. I've also noticed that the bar is almost always unattended. On the rare occasions I've managed to order a beer, the bartender (a guy with glasses) was so rude and dismissive that I honestly didn't feel comfortable or safe staying there. This wasn't just one bad encounter; it has happened several times across different visits. After repeated negative experiences with both the concessions and the bar, I've decided I will not be returning to this location. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I think I have given every AMC theater in this area the same rating. They all have their weaknesses and strengths. For me, I like this Flatiron Crossing location as it brings back some good memories for me. I used to work here when I was a teenager (but that was long ago, before they had ANY digital projectors and I actually wrapped film in the projector to get the movies started). Now, it is pretty lackluster. They don't have a lot of choices for different screen types and usually the better movies are playing at Westminster...that's okay though. Theater was cold, recliner was broken, had to wait in concessions line just to get tickets scanned and no one at bar to serve a beer, because there's just not enough staff to provide the expected theater experience. This is the compliant I filed with the Better Business Bureau and also posted on all my social media and also posted on Trip Advisor and Google Reviews. Over her birthday (12/19/24) and Christmas (12/25/24), my 17-year-old daughter with Down syndrome, Elizabeth, received about $280+ in AMC gift cards from family and friends because they know that going to the movies is her most favorite thing to do. After Christmas, I loaded them all into my AMC Stubs account wallet (I've done this many times over the past decade with no issue). Then, a few days later when we were preparing to go see Lion King as a family, I noticed that all the gift cards were still loaded in the wallet, but the balances were 0. I was VERY upset to see this. I luckily took screen shots of all of those but, with the exception of the few sent via email, I didn't have the physical gift cards anymore. Of course, once I saw them all loaded properly into my wallet with balances, I didn't think to keep them. Like most retailers, AMC has no customer service number, you have to communicate with them via Facebook messenger and I've been doing that weekly now since December 28 with zero luck. They keep telling me they have escalated our case to the gift card team and helping us "in the order received" but, it has been over seven weeks with no luck. I keep messaging and they keep telling me to wait. Now, we are just facing the fact that we lost $280+; so sad. I have asked two family members to contest the charges with their credit cards and I've taken to my large networks on social media in hopes to get resolution/response; I just can't spend much more mental energy on this issue. Met up with the girls to watch Taylor Swift on a Friday night. I really like this AMC. I expected it to be more busy at 8 pm but we lucked out and our movie evening was great. We all bought snacks. The staff were very friendly. The ticket collector guy was kind enough to help take a group photo of us girls. Theater wasn't packed. The theater was clean. I really am surprised by the 4-star average here. There's only a couple positives I can find. Despite being right next to a giant mall, this location is usually quite quiet and rather empty on weekend afternoons. When I moved here from LA and visited the Flatiron 14, I figured Coloradans just don't watch movies. The other plusses are that all of the theaters have reclining seats and there's plenty of parking right outside. It's also close to restaurants if you're doing dinner and a movie. However, there's plenty of things to improve upon. The staff I briefly interact with always seems like it's their first day on the job, and have trouble scanning tickets, entering Stubs numbers, or completing a transaction for one drink. Not that I expect the world of them, but still. I also find myself doing their job and closing the doors after the movie has started. Aside from the Dolby and IMAX auditoriums, the sound quality is awful, especially in the smaller cinemas. If you don't sit in the first 3 rows, you will have trouble hearing dialogue. Also, avoid sitting on the end seats in the back half, the screen is usually partially obstructed based on the design of the stadium. The concessions area is always dirty and sticky, and you can count on several soda flavors that are out. (Check to make sure they have what you want before dropping $7 for a "small") Pro tip: if your showtime is 10:00, you don't need to be there til 10:25 thanks to 8-9 trailers, an A-list ad, Nicole Kidman claiming AMC makes movies better, and probably some other reels gloating about IMAX quality, Dolby sound, or a post-trailers trailer. Overall, catching a flick here is a pretty meh experience. If you aren't in Dolby or IMAX, you'll have a better time staying at home. Go to the Westminster 24 for better odds of a good experience. read more

HORRIBLE popcorn & soda. They were getting popcorn from "the back" (i.e. it had been sitting somewhere for a long time - very stale.) The "fake butter" was awful (and I usually like it!) - the color should have alerted me. The soda had minimal carbonation and was very diluted - clearly the mix was way off. The soda area was filthy - clearly no one was cleaning it. Of course I didn't realize any of this (except the dirty soda area) until I got into the theatre at which point I wasn't going to go back and argue with them. Early on a Friday evening, the lobby and IMAX theatre appeared clean. A good start. Tickets for four, $86. Drinks for 4 and two buckets of popcorn, $70. It's too much. Employees were capable and polite, that's good. The sodas were watery. The popcorn was ok, not stale. Unfortunately, the IMAX previews and ads for Deadpool lasted 45minutes! 45! And the sound was insanely loud. We were miserable. By the time the movie started we were exhausted by aural trauma. We hoped the movie sound would be appropriate but the Backstreet Boys montage that starts 2 minutes into the movie was equally traumatizing proving the movie would be just as punishingly loud. So loud! We tried the Digital theatre option at AMC and it also was too loud and had another 30 minutes of the same previews to go. I don't get why so loud. Why so many previews. Way to ruin movie going AMC. We did get an exchange to a gift card. They refused to give a proper refund. read more

Best movie theatre near Boulder by miles. Always great customer service. Great concessions, and by far the best seats. We go here all the time and love going. Always a good time. They also have a rule that no little kids (6 and under or something like that) are allowed in late night rated R movies, which is great for date nights. The mall itself is kind of dying, but there are still tons of restaurants around to grab a bite and stores for a little shopping. So you can really make an evening of it. We have the A list card and come often. The A list card is about $20 a month for 3 movies a week. It's a steal if you go to the movies often. The service is great (shout out to Dewey who is always very on top of it) and the popcorn is great. They keep the theater very clean. So cup holders, bathrooms, etc are all super clean. read more

It was as if my honey and I were country bumpkins coming to the big city for the first time. We were on our way back from Boulder when we decided to stop at the Flatiron's AMC to catch a flick. At the ticket counter the guy there asks us to choose seats from a seat map that magically appeared on a screen in front of us. We look at each other, confused, and say, "Really, we get to pick our seats?" He looks at the line forming behind us and politely nods "yes," as if we had come from the outskirts of Punkin Center, CO, and had never ever seen a movie before. So we do, and think, well, that was kind of weird. We've never had "assigned" seats to a movie before. Now the show was starting momentarily so we hurried into the theater, and as we headed up the aisle we saw big letters labeling each row printed on the carpet at the landings, which, by the way, extended for like 5 feet before the risers up to the next row. Not thinking much of that at the time, we found our row in the dark. We picked the 2 seats next to the aisle so at least no one would have to stand up when we made our way in. (You know how after the lights have dimmed other folks aren't usually real happy to see someone with seats in the middle of the row making them get up to get by). Well, these rows turned out to be around 5 feet wide! And when I sat down in my seat it was a wide, deeply padded, leather, Lazy Boy chair. The person in the row in front of me--you know, the guy who's always 6' 6" and has a hat on--was nowhere in sight. He was way down beneath a half-wall that formed the front of the row I was in. And when I reached to feel if there was a cup holder, not only did I find one, but my hand hit the electronic control that made my seat recline to almost flat-out. Then, when someone in the middle of the row got up to leave during the playing of the movie, it turned out that the row was so wide that even with me lying there almost stretched fully out on my back, there was still enough aisle room left for the person to walk past me without me having to lower my foot rest. Un-frigging believable! I don't care at all that it was about the worst movie I've seen in the last 20 years (Pompeii in 3D). It was the best-est ever movie experience of my lifetime. Yahoooooooo! I'm going to see all my movies at the Flatirons AMC, and you should too!!! read more

Pretty sweet theater with mall adjacent. Usually I visit the Westminster Promenade but depending on the film or seats/screens available this has been a nice option. No issues with parking which is a huge plus. Anywhere nearby is only a two minute walk so have some food at the mall beforehand or come into the theater for some snacks. Full bar! Lot of theaters are going the Alamo Draft house or Cinebarre style these days. Stop in with friends to grab a drink before going out or just grab a drink before/during your film! Sure makes watching the latest Disney movie in theaters with your kids for the fifth time a lot more enjoyable ha. Good amount of screens so you can see the latest films plus whatever was released in the last month. 3D/2D/IMAX screens are available. Be sure to sign up for the free AMC rewards program. Depending on how often you see films you can get free popcorn, mike tickets, and other extremely useful rewards. read more

I've always enjoyed having a movie might with my husband, on occasion we come here and service has always been EH. Today was my daughters birthday, she turned 9! Both my husband and I took off the evening from work to ensure I'd be home to stay with our oldest daughter and our newborn son as the rest went with my husband to celebrate by watching the new Chucky movie, our kids were thrilled....... They show up to the theater for the 8:40 function to be told by the ticket lady that our 5 year old cannot go in because the function is after 6 PM??!! As I sit here typing this up I feel puzzled, what difference does it make wether my children watch a movie before of after 6 PM? If we, the parents, allow our children to watch a movie most specifically when in company of their parents I do not see what the problem is with allowing them to go in. I did my research and nowhere is this policy stated as tickets are purchased, and if there is please someone correct me and if there is a logic behind this "policy" could it be explained as well please I'd greatly appreciate it. read more

This is a decent theater with nice screens and comfortable seats. It is in a mall so there is lots of parking. That said there are a couple of things about this theater which is making me reconsider coming here. First even when it is 100 degrees outside the theaters themselves are FREEZING. I now have to carry a jacket in my car otherwise I just can not attend a day time movie here because it is so cold in the theaters it make it hard to enjoy the movie. I have even left to go outside to get warm. The second thing which is what is really making me consider not coming to this theater is there is no longer a ticket taker at the door or at the counter. You now have to wait thru the long concessions line even if you are not buying food. I waited 15 minutes to get my phone scanned and was told to just go to the take out line. Today that brought me some angry responses by the people stuck waiting in that line....To cut 1 minimum salary to sacrafice this much customer service is not a good thing at all and makes this theater much less attractive then it once was. read more

I'm also a movie addict and watch at least 2 movies per day so being unable to physically go to the movies, particularly when there's a new release out that is ready to rock my world, is no bueno. I moved here from Seattle and hadn't heard of this theater until I searched online for one with reclining seats. This theater is a little bit further than my sister and I normally go for a movie but to compromise, I bought tickets to see Mockingjay which I knew she wanted to see and I was impartial to. Just how comfortable are these seats? I fell asleep 30 minutes into the movie and woke 5 minutes before it ended. THE NAYS I'm totally disappointed with their snack options, the only healthy thing they offer is a tiny pretzel and hummus cup or some chicken wrap thingy. I mean, considering the area, you'd expect them to have some raw almonds or at least a fruit cup. Thank goodness I brought an apple (sorry, guy sitting next to me).
