Donna took one look at my face and said, "I have the perfect dress for you." I'm between 12-14 and am working through some insecurities, so when she said that, I said "yeah, right." Donna told me I deserved to feel delicious in my dress, so I tried it on. My God. I looked and felt like a mermaid Goddess. The dress is a beautiful mermaid/trumpet style gown that hugged my curves in all the right places (I'll update with pictures soon!). It was affordable and very well-made. Normally, I would've walked right by it. Thank God I listened to Donna's advice. She is honest, smart, so so stylish, and she sees and celebrates the beauty of everyone who walks into her boutique. The employees are always so nice and willing to help. I ordered a pair of jeans online and when they were delivered, I realized that they had a broken zipper. I didn't get around to making it to a Madewell store until after the 30 day return window, but given that the jeans were not usable, the ladies at the store were able to process my return with no issues. I ended up trying on a few more pairs of jeans when I was in the store and the employees were very candid about which ones stretch and which ones don't. They helped me find my perfect pair! Tip: if you bring in a pair of old jeans (regardless of where they are from or how expensive they are), they will give you a coupon for $20 off a new pair. The coupon is valid on clearance items and can be combined with any current discounts! You can even use the codes online and if you sign up to be a Madewell Insider, you get free 2 day shipping too!
