I'm extremely disappointed with the experience my best friend had. She was given an appointment at a location that isn't even open yet. We showed up at the address provided, only to find out the store wasn't operating there. When we tried calling to figure out what was going on, no one answered the phones. I drove two hours to be there for what was supposed to be a special bridal appointment, and the entire day was disrupted because of this mistake. What's most frustrating is that there was no real accountability or effort to make up for the inconvenience. Wedding dress shopping is supposed to be a meaningful experience. I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Elizabeth John's! Sam was my bridal assistant and was truly a light of a human being and made the experience so comfortable, calm, and special. Admittedly I was hesitant to make an appointment at EJ's because of my budget, but there were a handful of beautiful dresses between $2,000-$2,500. There was a specific dress I wanted to try on and Elizabeth John's coordinated to ship it in from their Morristown location for me to try on. Out of the few bridal shops I visited, Elizabeth John's definitely had the most versatile bridal gown options - I felt they had a good selection of simple, elegant, and timeless dresses. I also want to reiterate how absolutely amazing Sam was. My guests joining got a bit lost and I was overwhelmed by the situation - Sam went out of her way to make sure I was alright, and once they eventually got there, Sam made sure to focus the appointment on me and the dresses, and overall just made the whole experience so special and relaxed. read more

Brides beware of the treatment you will receive at this salon. The dresses are higher end but falling apart and faded. If you do find one you like and want to buy, expect to see another bride in it during your appointment. Yes, bridal looks are not proprietary but every bride wants to feel special. Boutiques providing couture dresses at high end prices should know how to cater to creating an experience special and unique to each bride. When you voice your disappointment at seeing another bride in what would be your dress, the salon owner will dismiss your feelings. From the time we entered the store the bridal consultant had a poor attitude. They market themselves as a high end boutique but they sure don't make the bride feel that way. They are completely unprofessional, rush you and take your dress of your body to put on another bride right away. I would never recommend them. Their store is run down and the dresses were faded and yellow. Do yourself a favor and head to Bijou bridal down the road if you want to feel treated like a princess, as every bride should as she searches for the perfect gown. read more

Had to return a veil because there were holes in it. Salesperson never apologized for the issue,after clearly seeing the holes. When I asked for a refund, she was very rude and simple said no with a very snotty look on her face. She gave us another veil and never said a word as she handed it to my daughter. Of course my daughter was very polite and said thank you, waiting for the "I am sorry for the issue and for the inconvenience of having to come back to the store." Never happened! My mother and sisters accompanied my niece to finalize her dress selections after she and her mom met the owner, Elizabeth Johns, at a bridal trunk show. The bi-level salon is a well organized jewel for any bride-to-be with a super friendly and helpful staff. Curio displays of jewelry, tiaras and blinged out sashes for a bride's attire adorn the rotunda n was strategically scattered in the vestibule. The cellar level is stocked full of mother of the bride, bride's maid and the former season dresses. While the bride tries on various dresses, the guest can enjoy some amazing complimentary macarons from a Philly bakery. If the bride purchases a gown, then a bottle of bubbly is popped. My niece purchased TWO dresses but unfortunately, we were in such a hurry to make a dining reservations, we only did one bottle. Hopefully they'll gift her bottle on her next fitting appointment. read more

I wish it were possible to give zero stars because this place deserves nothing at best. WARNING TO ALL WOMEN: This place is body shaming and unprofessional (that's putting it nicely.) Below is my horrific experience: I set a bridal gown appointment over two months ago, and I filled out a generic online questionnaire about my size and style preferences. Fast forward to one week ago. I receive a voicemail from Elizabeth John's asking to reschedule my (two-month old!) appointment. I politely obliged, and we moved the appointment up one day. Mind you, I have family coming in from out-of-state to wedding gown shop with me, so this is a major inconvenience and monkey wrench in our plans. There was no mention of any other issues regarding my appointment during this phone call... just that we needed to reschedule. Fast forward to yesterday evening. I received an email from "Alexandra," congratulating me and letting me know she will be my consultant. From there, she goes on to say "I read in your appointment notes that you are a street size 14-16. All of our dresses are size 10-12, which in a street size is 8-10. We only have two gowns that are 16+. We have a few more plus size gowns at our store in NJ." She then goes on to also tell me that their style is more "traditional" instead of bohemian, which is what I wrote in my notes. First of all, what is the purpose of your email, Alexandra? To passive aggressively state that I am too large for your store and do not fit your clothes? I thought that was the job of a consultant to make the sample sizes work... I know plenty of girls my size and larger who have tried on sample gowns just to get an idea of what a dress looks like, even if it does not zip or fit perfectly. She also went on to list designers I should look up because those are the only dresses they carry for my size. I thought that was the purpose of going somewhere and shopping... to see what I like. I'm supposed to decide that ahead of time without ever having put a wedding dress on? Second of all, you've made a lot of assumptions just based on something I wrote electronically two months ago. Maybe calling me to discuss a delicate topic like my size and body shape would be a better way to go? Then you could have found out that I have a very small waist, and I am an hour glass... so I actually could easily fit in ball gowns and other A-line dresses that are a size or two smaller for me. Also, I've lost 30 lbs. since I filled out that questionnaire. You would know that if you bothered to call me. Is this where we are at with customer service now? An email 3 days before my two-month old appointment to discuss things that are very sensitive, particularly to women? Third of all, isn't this experience supposed to be about women empowering women to feel like princesses... after all, this will be my WEDDING DAY. This will be arguably the most important garment I ever purchase for myself. This is meant to be a momentous and joyful occasion. From one woman to another, there is no way in the world you could not know that telling someone you do not have anything in their size is insulting. As women, we are already subject to so much cultural scrutiny and body shaming... I just never expected to experience it from a bridal gown consultant who is in charge of helping me to pick my wedding dress!! Shame on you, Elizabeth John's. You can do better. We all can do better at supporting each other as women. Why, in general, do you only carry those sizes? Is it to then marginalize more full-figured women? And since when is a size 12 considered plus size???? I'm writing this post for all women of all sizes. Let's not stand for this kind of BS. I made an appointment based on the number of positive reviews I read, and I am severely disappointed. Our biggest problem was our consultant, Pat. She was straight up rude. Her attitude made the whole experience negative. It felt like she was looking for problems with everything. First, she told my friend (the bride) that her hips were going to be a problem. Seriously. Second, she shooed the bride and told her to "keep moving". Seriously. Third, they ignored us (the bridesmaids). No ma'am, we did not want water. Even though we asked. Seriously. Fourth, she injured the bride. The bride now has scratches. Thanks guys. Fifth, they tried to sell the bride discontinued dresses with stains, pulls and rips. And the dresses were too small, so that's and extra $200 in alterations on top of the flat $500 for standard alterations. Seriously. Sixth, bad mouthed the other shops in the area and told us their house designer dresses were "copies made in China". They could probably use a little more of the "love thy neighbor". On a side note, there was one really helpful consultant who was sweet as pie. She jumped in half way through. I wish I had her name, and I wish she'd been our consultant the whole time. If I had written this review after our bridesmaid dress consultation I would have given the store 5 stars. We loved the experience with our consultant Jessica, she seemed to be great. Ordering the dresses took 2 days and 5 phone calls because we were ordering in both PA and NJ. The multiple phone calls was because the dresses needed to be ordered together so they would be cut from the same cloth. Turns out this was a waste of time since Ardmore placed the order separate from NJ. We only found this out when the dress in Ardmore came in 2 weeks before the dresses in NJ. When we got the dress they were all too small. When the Morristown store saw one of the girls measurements (that Jessica took) they said she should have a dress 2 sizes bigger. The mother of the bride called to speak to Jessica but she was with a client and the store said she would call back. She never did. We made a few minor alterations to the dress (adding a belt and moving a snap). This was complicated by having the dresses at the two stores. Morristown called Ardmore to explain what to do but when the dresses were completed they did nothing they were supposed to. I would stay away from this place unless you want to feel horrible about yourself and have to constantly call to check on things. read more

My wedding dress was too short due to Elizabeth Johns' failure to have enough seamstresses to do tailoring. Their management failed to deal with the situation in a way that made me feel understood. They seemed to not understand that constantly pulling your dress (that cost thousands of dollars) down on your wedding day and looking at your toes in hundreds of wedding photos is a big deal. I called and spoke with the manager, and then wrote an initial Yelp review to which the owner, Melinda, responded. Not only was Melinda's response condescending, it was missing an apology. The apology is what I'm really looking for here--I wouldn't have even submitted the below review if Lacey had authentically apologized rather than making excuses. I am not a negative Yelp reviewer, and I'm kind to customer service people (as I was to my consultant and seamstress). Though there were some bumps in my experience at Elizabeth John's, I was not dissatisfied until my dress was too short, which I discovered on my wedding day. Melinda's condescending suggestion that I failed to assert myself is both irritating and indicative of Elizabeth Johns' inability to take ownership for mistakes. read more

This review is a little overdue. I was in this salon in July, and tried on 5 or 6 marvelous dresses. They have an outstanding selection there. I was assisted by Linda, and she was so great - just above and beyond any compliments! I could spend as much time as I wanted wearing any dress, I could contemplate myself in all their mirrors, I could try on the dresses with any accessories I wanted, the service was impeccable. And Linda was so great! I did not buy a dress there, but there were two really serious candidates. I am very picky with dresses and had disliked almost everything in multiple salons I had visited before, but in Elizabeth Johns, the dresses are truly nice, if there is beading - it is in measure, if there is lace - it is in moderation, elegant and stylish. DO NOT BUY YOUR DRESS HERE!!!! I found my dress after much searching at Elizabeth Johns with a friendly and helpful sales person, Erica. It was a lovely shopping experience. Erica no longer works there'd I should have taken her cue and RAN. Unfortunately, after we paid the bill everything went downhill fast. My fittings were horrible. Considering I really didn't need much alterations at all it was ab absolutely terrible experience. They made no adjustments--literally nothing changed--from the first to the second fitting, leaving me wondering why I came in at all. And then they left all the major alterations to the VERY last minute. I was having nightmares for the weeks leading up to my wedding because nothing was done. They were down a seamstress and I understand that, but they were not helpful or accommodating in the slightest, bordering on rude. The seamstress argued with my mother about the changes we wanted to see and I ended up forcing them to let me come for an additional fitting due to her refusal to make the changes we wanted to see. It took several phone calls with management to get them to give me the additional fitting without a charge, even though they wasted my second fitting by not changing anything. The seamstress didn't even offer to put (bra) cups in until I refused to leave with my dress at my final fitting (the DAY BEFORE MY WEDDING) until she added the cups. For the $800 they charge for alterations I would have been better off at my local dry cleaners. My bridesmaids had equally terrible experiences. They measured the girls so terribly--one was WAY too small and one WAY too large. They made my one bridesmaid actually purchase additional fabric to make up for them measuring her incorrectly...and then they didn't even use it! My other bridesmaids thankfully got their dresses tailored elsewhere. DO NOT BUY YOUR DRESS HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT. EVEN IF IT'S AN AMAZING DRESS BUY IT ELSEWHERE! read more

Although I ultimately did not get my dress from Elizabeth John's, the store and sales agent Hollie really deserve a rave review! The store is beautiful and the area where you try on and your guests waits makes you feel like a movie star- lots of seating, lights, mirrors, and a beautiful and large selection of dresses that vary in price points. Hollie was very helpful in taking me through the dresses that were in my price point and picking out styles that were similar to what I liked. She was animated, knowledgeable, fun and had my entire party laughing and really enjoying the experience. Trying on dresses has never been so fun! We all look back on Elizabeth John's and talk about how it was the best out of all the stores we visited in the Philadelphia area. I had sort of a disappointing experience at Elizabeth Johns a few weeks ago. I was excited after hearing so many good reviews. I'm only giving them three stars because my consultant, Marina, was incredibly sweet and even took the time to follow up by email with details from our appointment. If you make an appointment here, be sure to ask for her! She's fantastic. I had called in advance to see if they would carry dresses that would accommodate my size/bust and the woman on the phone assured me that Elizabeth Johns would have some good options for me and that I should definitely stop in. When I arrived, I found the dresses were actually pre-selected for me and were not even remotely close to the style that I was looking for. I was really into A lines, preferably with lace or tulle. Soft and romantic feel. The first dress I tried on was a sheath dress, which wasn't my taste at all. The second dress was huge and had a very couture look with a dramatic skirt...also not what I was going for. When browsing the floor selection that had tons of gorgeous gowns, but they wouldn't fit. In short, I thought my consultant was excellent and the floor selection was beautiful, but I was disappointed that I dragged my family/friends there because I couldn't try on a ton of things. I wish they hadn't made it seem like they had a larger selection over the phone that would fit. Not to mention the pre selected dresses were just off. read more

They are extremely rude. They are all over the place and have really bad customer service. We have spent thousands of dollars there and they don't care. Mother of the bride dress alternations were not done until 5pm the day before the wedding. Mother of bride goes to pick up dress at 10 am the day before wedding (because they insisted that it would be fine) and the hem isn't done and she can't even zipper the dress. The alternations were still very much not complete and they told her to come back at 4:30 because the seamstress was unaware the wedding was tomorrow because she asked, "when is the wedding" at the 10 am appt. WHICH IS TOMORROW and HAS BEEN VERY CLEARLY COMMUNICATED BY US. However this dress is one of the many things going on the day before wedding but they don't seem to care and had zero sense of urgency. The alternations cost $700 which must be paid in full in advance. the amount of added stress they have caused is insane, and they do not have any sympathy for being so unorganized and all over the place. The seamstress and sales ladies are not on the same page at all. Not to mention, the dress was stuck in customs for about a week. They are closed Monday and Tuesday and have no phone number to get in touch with. For gowns that are $3000 they do not treat the customers well. We also got the wedding gown there so you would think they would be nicer. People who we have dealt with there offended multiple family members and very obviously rude and laugh in your face. We will never go back there and do not recommend this store to anyone. We had a much better experience last year at Van Cleve. I would like to follow up on this situation at happened 3 weeks ago. once my mom received the dress even before doing alternations, she noticed that the fabric itself looked different. And to be honest, it did, but it was already a mess waiting for the dress to arrive after many many weeks, that I told my mom don't worry its the correct fabric, however I never saw it in person. My mom is very detail orientated and knew it was wrong so after the whole fiasco with alternations (which they refused to discount in anyway and just kept saying at 6:30 pm the day before that "at least its fixed now and you have the dress, its perfect and you can go have fun now!" My mother called the owner to discuss the fabric difference and the owner admitted the fabric was totally different and finally agreed to refund for alternations. However, this issue is that the FABRIC OF THE ENTIRE DRESS WAS WRONG. The dress arrived many weeks late, so we cannot confirm but we think since all these dresses are made to order, they sold my mothers dress to someone else because then they said they were waiting on fabric which was why it was taking so long. However she was told dress is done, it will be shipped out, then was told oh nevermind they are waiting on fabric to make the dress??? AKA had to make another dress, ran out of fabric, they rushed the fabric or settled for a fabric that was similar but very different material. It frayed very easily and had tiny hair like threads sticking out after they hemmed it. The material was thinner and just looked like much lower quality than the original and correct fabric that she ordered. Thankful the owner at least owned up to the mistake, she should really be involved more since her name is on the line of the business and the employees at the store just kept trying to tell my mom she was wrong and kept lying, being rude, and not being helpful at all. read more

My dress is stunning and consultant could not have been nicer. I purchased my dress for a June wedding and was told it would take 3-4 months. I called in January only to be told that my dress was not ordered yet because they didn't want it to sit in their shop for months. When it did arrive on 4/20 I was not notified; I had to call them on 4/28 to find this out. All phone conversations with management were rude and I was told conflicting information, such as, my dress was postponed because I told them that the date had changed(which it had not). I am now in a position to find a seamstress in the 6 weeks until the event. I was also told at my first consultation that they were not doing alterations for MOB dresses, which my sister and friend both heard. I was told on 4/28 that was never true. In the future I will go to NY to ensure better service and delivery. read more

The dresses are stunning and range in price from about $2000 to pushing $10,000. However, Erika was mindful of staying within my budget. The selection was larger than the stores I visited in the city, but not so large that it felt unmanageable. I ended up purchasing my dress from another salon but only because it was from a designer that Elizabeth John doesn't carry. I really loved the skirt of one dress, but I wasn't sold on the top. I left really unsure of what to do. I went back for a second appointment, and Lacey helped me to find a perfect custom option. My experience at Elizabeth Johns, from start to finish, was excellent. We called on a Sunday afternoon to get an appointment and came in that same day, for our first attempt at looking at wedding dresses. I really didn't know what I was looking for at the time, and Marina made some suggestions, directed me to parts of the store, and let me have at it. After trying on four beautiful dresses, she pulled a fifth one based on the one I had liked the best so far. It was a perfect pick on her part and our wedding dress search was over before it even began. Marina was so sweet, organized, and knowledgeable that I will enthusiastically suggest her to every future bride I meet. She made the process a wonderful one that was truly enjoyable. Our bridesmaids dresses came in on time, and were altered easily and professionally. Kathy is a dream to work with and she treats "her" brides and their bridal parties as if they were family. You can't ask for a better person to be handling such an important part of your day. I had the best experience ever looking for my wedding dress. My consultant Marina was amazing!! She could just tell when I wasn't really feeling a dress or if I loved the dress. The first dress she pulled was actually the dress I ended up falling absolutely in love with! From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcomed. I have gone to other bridal places and this one is by far the best. And I have had a rough time trying to find a wedding dress on such a short crunch time. I can't say enough good things about Elizabeth Johns in Ardmore, PA. Everyone was amazing, especially my brilliant consultant Marina and the wonderful alterations lady, Kathy. And I found a dress that made me - a little older, a little chubby - feel the most beautiful I have ever felt in my whole life. The moment my maid of honor and I arrived, it was obvious that the service here was head and shoulders above all the other places we have visited. The store is beautiful and extremely spacious, with very large changing rooms and lovely sofas around the mirrors for the guests. I never felt cramped, stressed, or rushed, something that was common at the other stores I visited. We were made to feel so welcome and given drinks and snacks. The dresses there were all absolutely beautiful - and the samples were impeccable, again very different from other places (I feared I might catch something, trying on the grubby samples at Bijou Bridal...). And, best of all, I found my gown! The moment I put on my Modern Trousseau gown - a blush pink ball gown, not at all what I thought i was looking for - I knew it was the one. My maid of honor and I both cried, and I was so glad to share this moment with my wonderful consultant, Marina, who had been such a star throughout the appointment. I had tried on several gorgeous dresses at Elizabeth Johns, but this one was clearly the one. We took photographs to send to my family in the UK and they loved it too. Marina brought the champagne and we celebrated. It was one of the happiest, most perfect moments of my wedding planning. My wedding was only three months away, but it was absolutely no trouble to rush order my dress. The wedding was also out of the country, so we had barely any time for alterations, but Elizabeth Johns made it easy, getting everything done perfectly within very few days. I had absolute confidence in Kathy, the alterations lady, and she was also so kind. The finished gown fits like a glove. I was caught in traffic on my way to my last fitting and ended up being two hours late, but Kathy stayed behind to help me as she knew I was flying out only a couple of days later and calmed my nerves. Shopping for a wedding dress is very exciting, but can be stressful. I was shopping for a sample I saw online. Every single person who worked there treated me as if I was family. I couldn't love them more during this experience! I found a sample I loved, but my family wasn't local. The staff talked me through everything from letting out the dress (because it was tight) to bringing up the seamstress you talk to me. They even helped my FaceTime with my family!! I couldn't rave about the experience I had more. I felt like they were family. I found my dream dress at my dream price!!! read more

I purchased my dress from Elizabeth John's this past October and am just getting around to writing my review. The whole team was fabulous! I am not bridal by nature at all and they were able to easily adapt to make my experience extremely low key, yet enjoyable. I wound up ordering a Mira Zwillinger dress that was not in the store. The team went above and beyond to track down the sample for me to try on in a matter of a few short weeks. The whole team at EJ's is accommodating, energetic, personable and easy to like! I'm very excited for my bridesmaids to order through EJ's and get the same experience. Highly recommend to any future bride looking for an amazing collection with an even friendlier staff. read more

I had to write a review after my recent experience. Awful. I originally went to EJ to try on wedding gowns and the consultant, Laurie, was actually very nice to work with. I ultimately did not find the gown I was looking for here, and ended up purchasing my dress from Kleinfeld. Since I had a great first experience at Elizabeth Johns, and didn't want to drive 3 hours for fittings at Kleinfeld in NY, I called to ask if I could have my fittings at EJ even if I didn't purchase my dress there. They said they don't usually allow that but they agreed and said the price would be higher for me since I didn't purchase my gown from EJ, which was fine because I thought it would be better to have a reputable place work on my gown. I scheduled the appointment in APRIL for AUGUST 2, 2014 and they sent me a confirmation email. I received a call from them THE DAY BEFORE my first fitting appointment to cancel it, saying they could not work on my gown since it wasn't purchased there. I explained that my appointment was scheduled FOUR MONTHS AGO and it was clearly explained that my dress was not purchased there. The woman on the phone said "I'm sorry, I feel, like, really bad." As if that wasn't enough, EJ knew about this appointment because I had called them a couple of weeks prior to confirm it and to schedule follow-up appointments for the fittings. They didn't mention anything about having to cancel, they scheduled the follow-up appointments, and all was fine, so there really was no excuse for this. They could have told me then, but instead decided to spring the news on me the day before I was supposed to come in. I'm so surprised at how unprofessional they were and I'm completely turned off. I'd think twice about going here since they clearly don't care about their customers and won't think twice about canceling your fitting appointment two months before your wedding. read more

I would love to give at least 2 stars to Elizabeth Johns because our consultant, Brielle, was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience picking out bridesmaid's dresses. We love the dresses we selected and Brielle was wonderful to work with. She provided honest feedback and suggestions, but was not over-stepping with her opinions. They were welcomed and appreciated. However, since we've ordered our dresses, everything on Elizabeth John's part has been a nightmare. I've had to call the shop numerous times and every time I've been told the appropriate person will call me back, or they'll find out and get back to me. I've never received any of those promised phone calls. I've had to call back a week later and say I'm still waiting on an answer. When a shipment of dresses came in, it was only 4 of the 6. They arrived in late January, but the dresses were there for a week before I even knew they were in. I called and asked for their status and they said, "oh, they're here." Apparently, they tried to call but didn't get me. I'm not sure how long they let the dresses sit there before they try again... Fast forward to 10 days before my wedding and the last two dresses are still missing. No one can seem to tell me where they were. In two stores, there's apparently one person qualified to give me that answer. I FINALLY, after several attempts, get her on the phone to find out they came in wrong twice, and they just reordered them with a rush last week. To them, it was never appropriate for them to communicate this to me. They promise they'll be in before the wedding and that they'll rush alterations, but when I asked them to waive the alterations cost for the girls, they refuse. At this point, they should have been going above and beyond with their customer service to change my attitude towards them, but they didn't. The dresses finally did come in four days before the wedding. You'd think the problem would be over and done with at this point, but they screwed up again. They put the wrong dress on the first girl and started altering the dress that wasn't ordered for her. Thankfully, my bridesmaid insisted that they double check, and then they finally noticed their mistake (they should be getting pretty used to noticing their mistakes by now). They also tried to get my other bridesmaid to pay the additional rush alteration fee, which she refused. I will never recommend anyone go there ever again. With the exception of in-house designers, you can always find a dress elsewhere. I'd recommend you'd do that. read more

Did not have a great experience here. The lady helping me kept talking to my friend about her wedding since she helped her try on dresses. My friend didn't even buy a dress from her. At one point she was so busy talking to her I was standing in the dressing room waiting for her to help me get out of a gown. To top off the whole experience that day, she sent me a follow up email and did not grammar or spell check her email. The only reason I gave this place two stars is because the decor inside was nice. read more

BY FAR THE ABSOLUTE WORST BRIDAL SHOP EVER!! Do yourself a favor and buy your dresses somewhere else. I'm in a bridal party of 10 and everyone's dress would fit a large dining table. I live out of state and had my measurements taken at a bridal shop near me. I sent my measurements to Elizabeth John's and the sales rep assured me that the dress might only have to be taken in a dress size. I had given birth a month prior to having my measurements taken, but this dress would not fit me if I was pregnant with triplets. Even when I called the shop to complain and try to problem solve, the sales rep was rude and completely unaccommodating to not just my but everyone's issue. She basically blamed me and the woman that took my measurements. WORST COSTUMER SERVICE!!!! And I just picked up my dress from having it altered there and it's still way Too big. The wedding is in 2 days. Thanks for nothing! read more

I did not buy my dress at Elizabeth Johns, but I'm giving them a 5 star review anyway. Hollie was so warm and fun to work with! While the vast majority of dresses at the salon were out of my price range, she showed me some beautiful samples and went out of her way to make sure I didn't feel self-conscious about my budget. I left with a much better sense of what I wanted and appreciated her reassurance that my perfect dress was out there somewhere. Low and behold, the very next day, Hollie called me to explain that she had done some research and found a designer that matched both my style and budget, and that she could easily order a few if I'd like to come try them on. I was floored by the extra effort she put in, especially on a relatively small potential sale. While I found my dress a few days later at another salon, I would HIGHLY recommend letting Elizabeth Johns (and especially Hollie) help you find what you're looking for. read more

I have worked in Suburban Square for over 7 years in The Times Building right next store to EJ. I could not wait until it was finally my turn to try on wedding dresses and make an appt at EJ! I would admire the dresses in the display windows as I walked by everyday! I called to make my first appt and the woman I spoke with was very friendly asking a few details about my wedding to get to know me. I had my first appt last week with Marina and she could not have made it any easier! She really listened to me because I had no idea what kind of dress I wanted or how to explain it. I picked out a few dresses and she pulled some for me as well. Marina pulled my dress that I could not explain but it was exactly what I was looking for! I was honest with her that EJ was the third bridal shop I have visited and still wanted to visit a few more just to see. Marina understood, but safe to say visiting the other shops all I kept doing was comparing my dress that I found at EJ, there were no dresses or experiences at other shops that could compete. I have my next appt for next weekend to try the dress on again so my mother in law can see it & to get my measurements taken and I cannot wait! If you are looking for a quality experience EJ is the place to go! They respect your budget and really listen which is so important in the dress shopping process! Thank you EJ! read more
