At the beginning of the night, I requested 90's Hip Hop. He said, "This is 90's Hip Hop." I said, "I've never heard this song before." He said rudely, "That's not my problem." We were the only people on the dance floor for most of the night. The music was terrible and eventually, it became a chore to dance. We were dancing to excercise but spent the night making fun of the music by dancing as terribly as possible. What is the point of DJing if you're only going to play music that empties your dance floor? Hope we never see this DJ again. He was rude his music stunk.

It truly feels like a cornerstone of our neighborhood, a place where everyone knows your name and you always feel at home. All visitors have gone thru the challenges of life despite their differences--respectfully. And so much of that incredible, welcoming spirit comes directly from Chris, the manager with Nick and Janine, the bartenders. Chris genuinely believes in creating a true community hub, fostering an atmosphere where everyone feels like they're part of an extended family. I am all for free speech and everyone has a right to their opinion but when you make it personal by calling me names and using profanities, that is not necessary. What exactly am I guilty of here, Peter M. And Tony B.?!? Not talking to you? I am a quiet person by nature, who normally keeps to himself and am more comfortable talking to friends and people I've known for a while and, in actuality, who isn't? I will guarantee that if you needed a drink, I got it for you. And if you think that I slighted you, then I apologize. Bottom line is, if you don't like me, fair enough but don't hide behind your computer to call me names, make personal attacks and bash me when you don't even know me, which can be proven by the fact that though it may be cut very short, I have a full head of hair(Peter) and I never wear my hat backward(Tony)! Initially, the staff was friendly, but I soon observed behavior that crossed the boundaries of customer comfort. Specifically, the bartender, Red, made an inappropriate remark, stating, "I have dirt on everyone here," and proceeded to share explicit information about regular patrons, including couples. This behavior made the evening uncomfortable, as it's not something one expects from a professional bartender. I was taken aback by how openly Red shared private details about customers, creating an environment of discomfort and distrust. This place is a well-kept secret. Though I'd passed it many times, I finally visited Fred's with a friend of mine about a month ago, and we've already been back a few times. Super nice bartender, reasonable prices, killer jukebox, and plenty of entertainment (pool table, some arcade games, foosball, and those little machines with games like finding the differences in the pictures of half-naked people!) It's a dive bar through and through, with interesting wall decor to show for it. And not that I would ever order one, but they freakin' sell HOT POCKETS at this place. great small dive bar. Amber, Red and Sarah are the best Mixologists! the bartender on Fridays probably should not be there. He is always on bar cordless phone, or on his cell phone. not user-friendly. More than likely rubs customers and guests in the wrong way. He should step aside and allow Red, Sarah or Amber batend on Fridays. Tell the Friday bartender to be more atune to his customers at the bar and not into his own little happy place. If by chance he is not happy working on Fridays, please take this day off, which will allow more revenue into this bar. Check his attitude at the door. read more

No music playing . New bartender lady is rude . Spot has changed alot . Use to be my 2nd to go to spot after ohMalley's , being the only bars close here in Palo Alto mountain view area. IF YOU LIKE BEING TOUCHED INAPPROPRIATELY go to this bar. IF YOU LIKE HAVING THE BARTENDERS MAKE EXCUSES for the person that touched you inappropriately go to this bar. ABSOLUTELY disgusting how they handled the situation my friends and I were in. So sad that humanity still has people that conform to social pressure. 10/10 will never step foot in this bar again. Fred's is a cool little dive bar in PA that actually gets poppin sometimes. If you go make sure to catch Kaipo with Now Time preforming their hardcore danchall show. You can drink and smoke outside, and the crowd is cool, mainly bartenders from other bars. Chang makes a mean mojito! read more
