Probably the best Dr I have ever been to…read more I have been seeing Dr Moodie for the past 3 or 4 years for a neurological condition. She's thorough, smart and has a very pleasant bedside manner. Appointments are never rushed, and every time I walk in, she is on top of my previous appointments, symptoms, test results, etc. In other words; she does her homework, takes the time to know her patients and genuinely seems to care. I have been doing very well since under her treatment, and pretty much, all credit goes to her her for keeping me ambulatory these past few years. Initially, I was probably not the best patient. As likely true with most any drug(s)/treatment, sometimes they can come along with a certain amount of risk for some nasty, sometime serious side effects. Dr Moodie has always made me aware of this--and not once was I pressured, or rushed into making a decision on any particular treatment. She always gave me the facts, urged me to look into it, and I was the one who ultimately who made the decision. I'd highly recommend her, and hope she never relocates.

I live in the LA area now, and have many procedures done regularly in the LA area, including: "Deep Skull Procedure" - Spheno-Palatine Ganglia Blocks @ Cedars, Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiation @ UCLA Med - Westwood, and Suprascapular Nerve Blocks every two weeks @ St. John's in Santa Monica. Whenever I return "home", to North Adams, for more than 2 - 3 days, I always try to book an appointment with Dr. Van Uitert. He has done the Suprascapular Nerve Blocks, and other procedures, many times. I normally have these procedures at some of the top medical centers in the country; Cedars is #2, UCLA Med is #5. In my opinion, Dr. Van Uitert is top-notch. Extremely knowledgeable, engaged w/patient, caring, and spends quality time w/you. Both my parents switched to him, and love him.

He made me feel reassured that my EEG would be read carefully. I feel so lucky that the EEG didn't show any abnormal activity. My neurologist at St. Peter's Health Partners wanted to put me in the hospital anyway to be sure, but I am confident in the results of the EEG that Capital Care Neurology did. I'm not going back to that other neurologist unless I have an obvious grand mal seizure.

Dr. Weaver immediately recognized my need and scheduled my surgery for the following week with his associate, Dr. Pennings. Dr. Weaver was not involved in my surgery, so I cannot speak toward that, but as a consulting physician he was fabulous. I feel completely at ease with him and trusted him so much that I actually canceled my second opinion and went immediately with Dr. Pennings because he recommended him. As a courtesy, Dr. Weaver also reviewed a second MRI for an additional disc bulge I had higher in my spine that another surgeon I had consulted with earlier in the year on that other issue you left me confused and terrified about. He gave me a valuable opinion and assuaged those fears with a mere sentence or two. Dr. Weaver is the kind of doctor other physicians should aspire to be. I would feel comfortable in the assumption that Dr. Weaver is as capable a surgeon as Dr. Pennings, but I hope you never suffer the need to find out for yourself.
