My Primary Care Physician had opined that the rotator cuff might be the problem, and that cortisone might help. Within hours of the procedure, the pain was gone! Yesterday, on March 29, 2026, while visiting my wife in her hospital room, I leapt from my chair to prevent (successfully) a table from falling over and caused excruciating pain in that shoulder. My phone call to N.E. Orthopedics today confirmed my suspicion that it was too soon for a follow-up shot, but I was dismayed to hear that their company might not want me to return. Frankly, I was so shocked to learn that information that I merely hung up without seeking an explanation.

At my second appointment at the Physical Therapy office a heat pack was applied to my shoulder for 10 minutes. The rest of the appointment proceeded as normal with exercises. That evening I felt some wetness on my shoulder. As I examined it more closely, I had a 3 inch burn spot with large blisters draining. I returned to that office the next day and was told that such a burn had never happened before. I then proceeded to the Urgent Care office and was diagnosed with 2nd degree burns. I was prescribed an antibiotic cream to apply for the next 5 days. So not only am I dealing with the pain from my surgery, I also have to suffer with the pain from the burn. I will never allow any therapist to apply heat during my treatment.

I want to especially thank Dr. Eric Arvidson MD and Peter Reppenhagen PA-C for making me a new person. my knees and legs were aching so bad it was tough to walk and stand. Their amazing care, made me feel 20 years younger. These people are not just a 5 star, they are a 10 especially to me. Thank you so much. I so appreciate the intelligence and skill you have to heal .

Saw Dr Poole for possible Sjogren's. He was not helpful. Told me to continue seeing my cornea…read moresurgeon since my eyes were my primary issue. He said I didn't need a biopsy of the salivary gland as the treatment would be the same whether or not I had the disease. He offered me medication for dry mouth but said it would not help my eyes. When I tried to explain the many other subtle symptoms that accompany Sjogren's and told him that my cornea surgeon said he had only seen cases like mine in Sjogren's patients he dismissed the comment. He truly seemed disinterested. Maybe he knew Medicare discounts his fee considerably and thus was just not into delving any deeper into my case. Lab work that I had done prior to the visit was forwarded to him and yet he seemed unable to access it on his laptop. He wanted me to come back next year to "monitor" the situation. NO WAY! Patient care has gone to the wayside. We're an account-not a patient-not a suffering human being. God help us all!
