Going to find another Neuro office. my rheumatologist was surprised they hadn't done some bloodwork after finding from my EMG test I had severe neuropathy with muscle wasting. No further testing done. I am searching for a new Neuro today. A Dr that actually cares for patients and not money.

He made me feel reassured that my EEG would be read carefully. I feel so lucky that the EEG didn't show any abnormal activity. My neurologist at St. Peter's Health Partners wanted to put me in the hospital anyway to be sure, but I am confident in the results of the EEG that Capital Care Neurology did. I'm not going back to that other neurologist unless I have an obvious grand mal seizure.

We still have not met with anyone and it has been 4 months of trying. We had one appointment that actually got scheduled and two hours before the appointment the office called and cancelled. Next available appointment was made for November 4, three months from now, but our daughter will be three hundred miles away at college by then. We were also told that another provider would not stand in for the consultation meeting, which may be the only professional practice on the planet where this is the case. My daughter cannot continue her treatments until they complete the consultation and at this point she is already off her treatment plan. Mary and April in their scheduling office are condescending, rude and inconsiderate and refuse to answer any questions. Go anywhere else you can.

I am a year late in writing this review, but not in the sentiment that goes behind it…read more I had a giant herniated disc; "giant" being a clinical term for a lot and really really bad. After some time already spent in the hospital after my entire body just sort of locked up, I found myself confined to bed, a wheelchair, and, on a good day, a walker. I was also opened to risk for loss of all kinds of other functions which I won't get into. What I hear is often a 2 hour in and out sort of surgery, for me, was almost six hours with a three day observation stay after and it was successful. Although I am still building back muscle strength etc, my ability to walk increased tremendously overnight. As a person faced with a potential reality of life in a wheelchair and a bag strapped to my leg, I can say I have a new appreciation for my mobility. Last Saturday I was out dancing - in heels. Dr. Pennings, however, is more than a skilled surgeon. He is a charming human being. His bedside manner is comforting and reassuring and his staff and associates are also very knowledgable and capable. I sincerely hope you never have the need for Dr. Pennings services, but, if you do, I couldn't possibly recommend him more highly than I already do.
