First off hands down great customer service!! Guy was super friendly and welcoming for our first time. The reason for 4 stars-- I was given a lot of praise over this place, told it was the best , super flavorful and top tier however it seemed average to me and flavor wasn't as potent or there for me. Not sure what the hype was. I'm giving 4 stars bc overall experience was good, pizza honestly is 3.5/5 for me. It wasn't as cheesy as expected and the flavor wasn't there. My go to pizza place in Ventura County. I have tried quite a few places and while some have their own twist that make it good, this place is my go to spot for a pizza night. I typically order there special, large 1 topping pizza with a wings and a 2 liter. It's pricey at almost 60 bucks. The wings are good sizes and great flavor. I order the buffalo. Pizza is the most New YoBuffalo. I've had around. Thin, no flop, great flavor. Fast, effective, and they do delivery but ive actually never do that since it's close to me I end up picking it up. Family owned pizza shop. Branch of Ameci I think when first opened. A lot of local history here from the original owners. My only only negative, aside from price, is in my experience I get two different types of pizzas depending on who is cooking. I always trust when the owner is cooking but there is a younger crew who I experience noticeable difference in taste when they cook. I call and make sure to ask who is cooking. At close to 60 a pop for the order I want what I consider good. Great local place. Definitely try it out. They have a great inexpensive lunch combo and sell pizza by the slice!!!

I finally came back after not visiting Oxnard since November. I used to live in Oxnard and came often with my dad and sometimes alone and we got to know Eddie. I hadn't been there in 8 months and when I walked in Eddie still remembered me! He immediately recognized me and said "Lauren!" when I walked in. He said he wondered where I had been and asked how my dad was. Then when I left he hugged me. It made my first visit back so special. I ordered my usual: cheese calzone and it was amazing. That marinara sauce is so good. I also ordered a bottle of water and a slice to go for my dad (all the way back in LA because he loves this pizza so much) and he said those were on the house. This place is so special to me.

Pizza was good. Really expensive for a medium meat lovers. You only get a few sprinkles of each of the toppings, so I'm not sure how it justified to cost that much. 6 small slices for pretty much $31 after taxes. Is it worth giving it a shot, yes, but don't expect to get your monies worth. My opinion, it's better off getting affordable pizza somewhere else (Domino's) for a fraction of the price with more quantities. The biggest draw back leading to a 3 star was just the quantity and how expensive it was.

Food is made with love. Best cheesesteak around. Freddy would be proud. The cheesesteak comes with mushrooms and the bread they use is . I highly recommend this place. And it doesn't hurt that the staff is super friendly.

The food number 1 was overall the best pizza I have had in a long time. I was a big fan of Toppers then it just lost its quality and service is hella bad. My large pizza was overwhelmingly huge! I got my money's worth, that's for sure. And my sandwich was also good!

SERVICE: This was delivered. Under the time they said. FOOD: For the photo, I call these real shots LOL. If half the pizza is missing, we're doing something good right? First time ordering from Freddy's. Really good. Sauce is a little sweet, but I like that. Some places are too sweet. Good flavor. Pep was tasty. Good ratio. A bit more cheese would have been too much for me. I like it a little crusty or burnt on top. I consider that done! WELL: I would definitely order from them again. Between them and Ameci, I found some good spots. Support both spots! Toppers Pizza - Ugh :(

Pizza tasted great! Delivery was early! Cheese great sauce great! Cannoli's were okay. They weren't filled all the way and you could tell they delivered it in the same hotbox as the pizza cuz they were all melted. If I could suggest something's that would make your pizza spot a 5 star.... Make your own whipped cream for your cannolis cuz I KNOWWWW that's from an aerosol can... Also, your ranch is not good. At all. I'm sorry! Make the ranch with hidden valley packets and buttermilk! If you had amazing ranch and made your own whipped cream....your spot would definitely get my 5 stars! :) Other than that, I loved it!! I WILL order from here next time.....minus the ranch and the cannolis unfortunately. read more

Great spot with a great history. Son now runs the spot that his father started and the place is just as great. Pizza is solid and the service is fantastic - highly recommend you try this Oxnard classic. Prices are good as well and if you are feeding many people make sure to go with the Jumbo size (locals hint!) They also serve pasta which is made fresh and to order. read more

I'll get rid of my post, or keep it up after my next future order. Dammit this is my spot!! I hope this isn't their new quality standard. I ordered a Chicken Garlic Pizza, and it barely even had chicken, or cheese. Tasted awesome, but the chicken is lacking.. it use to be like 1/2 inch to 1 inch chunks.. and this thing looked like shredded chicken for tacos. The hot wings felt like they were boiled, and lacked spices. Too expensive if you want to stay lacking. read more

I just recently moved to the oxnard area and I absolutely love pizza! I've tried Topper's because it's so well known, but I just discovered Freddy's Pizza. this truely is the best pizza by far. the owners are so friendly and accommodating. The ingredients are top notch. you can taste just how fresh they are. They offer several choices of thickness of their delicious home made crust. Yesterday, I ordered their BBQ chicken pizza but I asked them to subsitute the chicken for canadian bacon and add pineapple. The pizza turned out great! Even the owner was impressed with my choice of toppings. I told him, he will need to name the pizza the "Debbie Special" He actually liked the idea. Lol Needless to say, the pizza tasted FANTASTIC! UPDATE - ordered the meat lovers tonight and picked it up. Pizza was done on time, hot and fresh and delicious! BUT the management FAILED to deliver!! They had promised to give me a discount on my next pizza when they delivered the last pizza (see my earlier post) with all the toppings slid over and bunched up at one side and without the thick crust I had ordered! I should have known better. I thought I would give this place the benefit of the doubt but after today it just confirms I will not be coming back. This place used to be an Ameci's but clearly is nowhere near the same. The first time I went here the pizza had little to no sauce, and way too much cheese and was under cooked. I also ordered the antipasta salad, the meat was uncut and had cheese, not to mention was the lettuce was dripping wet like it had just been pulled from water. That meal was a total waste. Thought would give them another try today and get a Turkey sandwich. Again disappointed. For 10 bucks you would think you would get more than one slice of thinly cut turkey. Can't say the food is not good...it's GREAT...BUT the service is terrible. They'll tell you 30-40 for delivery but bring it 2 hours later. No lie! Freddie's needs to get their business together. They can totally SMASH Toppers any day but can't get the business side of things together. I called today at 5:40 pm and they said 30-45 min ( ok, I'll wait because you truly are better than Toppers). At I called at 6:47 pm asking an ETA and I was told that our food was ready but waiting for their driver...I said, "wait my food is sitting there waiting for a driver? So it's been ready and sitting getting cold?" I was legit said "yes." This is too bad! Freddie's was stepping their game up but is really going to loose business soon. Tonight I ordered a pizza and garlic cheese bread. I wanted wings but they were out. No biggie, I figured I had a pretty simple order. The young lady on the phone was nice enough, took my order and quoted me 45 minutes for delivery. No problem for me, 45 minutes would be perfect. Flash forward an hour, no pizza. I called in to ask and got some excuse about there being a tree down and traffic. Even with traffic, I figured an hour is plenty of time to bake a pie and travel 4 miles. I said ok and waited. Another 45 minutes goes by and as I'm dialing the phone to cancel my order I get a knock on the door. It's my pizza... my cold, soggy pizza. Excellent affordable pizza , cooked to perfection. great flavor and very little grease from the cheese and pepperoni. I really can't find anything bad to say about the pizza. Next time we want to retry the deep dish! The hot wings are decent but I prefer deep fried hot wings for that extra crisp. These hot wings are oven baked. But they are still very good! The chicken used is quality chicken and the Hot buffalo sauce is some of the best around town. This pizza beats toppers or pizza man any day of the week! read more

My favorite neighborhood spot since I was a kid, very sad to hear about Freddy's passing, he was always a nice and generous man who made the best pizza I've ever had. Finally back on Yelp, since reopening, came here several times b4 and got excellent service from Freddy, he always remembered what I wanted, even when it was a call in order, now son owns and continue to receive excellent food and service! Get the spaghetti, meatballs and sausage bits, very good, good portioned and reasonably priced one of the best in the area. Recommend Highly! read more

I went a little crazy had a bad craving for chicken parm and my 11 yr old niece was hungry so I got her spaghetti and meatballs (also ordered their cheese garlic bread). Both were so delicious. I had leftovers & the next day they were even better. The staff was very nice and friendly the food was scorching hot, which was great since I live by Hueneme beach and both dishes were still hot when I served them. Highly recommended read more

This was the first time trying food from this restaurant. The pizza was fantastic! The only problem was that I ended up eating more than usual because it was so good. Also got the garden salad and it was full of delicious ingredients with generous amounts of grated cheese. I will definitely be ordering again. read more

Unable to receive order. Cussed out by two girls. They had no idea after 30 min when my order would be ready, not even a ball park 15- 20 min. Questions and cussed out. Never happened when. Freddie was here. 1/3/2021 about 1815. Refund request made and received. Will not return. read more

The lasagna was delicious. Full of meat and obviously made from scratch. The antipasto salad was brimming with delicious goodies and plenty of meat. The pizzas are good. This is our go to place for pizza delivery. read more

I ordered a Sicilian pizza as described in the photo. Instead they gave me a large pizza with tomatoes. When I took it back they said they don't make rectangular thick Sicilian pizza. They promptly issued me a refund but I left disappointed that they didn't have the Sicilian pizza described on their website. Oh well Toppers here I come. read more

Wow this Pizzeria is a disgrace to the old pizzaria that was here before Freddy from amicie the best man that made the best food is turning in his grave right now. i just ordered 80 $ in food and it was wasted $$$ I can't believe how bad these sandwiches are I ordered pastrami sandwiches the bread is burnd and hard with three tiny pieces of pastrami and its a 10$ sandwich . The meatballs and marinara were ridiculous the meatballs were the size of quarters.it was trash garbage.and when I called to complain the Manger would not talk to me they put a delivery driver on the phone who ended uptelling me they will not remake or refund me but I can payfor everything again and cussed me out. I tried to treat my family to some outside food and it was just a waste of money and when I complained the told me off how disrespect they are there. I miss fredd for sure read more

This place is really bad,my family just ordered 70 to 80$ worth of food and everything came cold,soggy,nasty,the people there don't speak English in order to let them know so they put the delivery driver on the phone and then she cussed us out would not refund our $ and said they can't even remake the stuff and bring it back and pick up old stuff. I had a really disappointing experience here. The pizza was extremely greasy--so much so that it actually made us feel sick afterward. For the price, I expected much better quality, especially considering there are several other spots in town that offer far better food at a more reasonable cost. On top of that, the customer service was poor. When we walked in, the employee was on the phone and seemed more focused on that than helping customers. The interaction felt rude and unwelcoming, which only added to the negative experience.
