At about 10:30 I booked an 11:30 appointment. The woman cutting my hair was very personable and we shared a great conversation. Here is where things went wrong, and I think I was taken advantage of. During our conversation, while I was getting my haircut I casually mention that "I believe men's haircuts are a little too cheap compared to my wife's haircut. My wife may only get an inch cut off and it will be $100". The woman cutting my hair says "well you haven't gotten my bill yet". I booked a $35 men's cut, what could she be talking about when she says "my bill". After the haircut is finished she proceeds to tell me that the haircut is $55. I told her I had intended to tip her anyways, so the monetary value wasn't really an issue. The issue is, I booked a service online that clearly stated $35 and by the time 80% of my haircut had been complete she tacked on a 57.14% increase to the price I was given when booking. This all seems fraudulent to me. I enjoyed everything else and I believe I won't be returning because of this. If I buy a service at a listed price, I believe that's what the service should cost.

So many HHI businesses don't pay enough attention, and I was thrilled to see a business owner care about communication with potential clients. Set up an appointment and was so excited to receive her expert advice. I showed her a bunch of photos I had pinned on pinterest and we began working towards my hair goals. The price was affordable and definitely worthy of the talent that Whitney so artistically portrayed. Very excited to have found her and will definitely recommend her to clients in the future. Jennifer was our stylist and genuinely cared about making us feel great before walking back out. The owner, Celeste came over and met with me-remembering that we talked on the phone the day before. My daughter and I both got the "Halo" face frame highlights, customized to each of our preferences. Celeste went the extra mile to ensure my color was just how I like it: seamless with a root shadow and color block toning as I needed. The owner Maggie and her assistant tried to fix my hair and only made it worse. I looked worse leaving the salon. I suspect her products were old and this is why my color did not take correctly. Maggie then charged me double the price saying it was my fault that my formula did not work. I paid the amount and then the next day called Maggie to discuss why she charged me double the price and she basically said no refunds and hung up on me. I reported this incident to corporate aveda. I have been going to aveda salons for 15 years and never had a bad experience until I went to this salon. I would not recommend this salon especially if you are a blonde!!

Tracee Spencer (the owner of the salon) was less than helpful and actually stated that the below photos looked "beautiful".
