The old work was a hodge podge of pavers and an unfinished area where a "water feature" had once had its reservoir (over the septic tank, no less). Tom and Matt went to great lengths to make sure the new pavers were well-seated and level; the new wooden stair (with cool post-top solar light caps) makes a beautiful and safer entry to our lowest patio level. Lots of "little" things, too. New gardens, some new paths, a soil ramp to the stair top, etc. We'd use these guys again in a heartbeat.

Sought out JGL Construction for its advertised free estimate. Interior Team Manager Christine Lee gave us a reasonable price for the job, and estimated it would take 3 weeks to complete. My wife and I had a good laugh over that timeline, having dealt with contractors on other jobs. But it actually took exactly 3 weeks! Christine was here every day to ensure the sub-contractors were completing each stage of the job on schedule and with attention to detail. She also encouraged them to add custom touches, like crafting wood wrap-arounds to replace the cheap plastic at the top of the new window blinds. We highly recommend JGL Construction for any interior work. They really strive to make the customer happy!

I'm not sure lawyers make that much?? Anyway, Captain Kirk quoted a very reasonable price, showed up on the weekend at no extra charge. We were so impressed to finally have the work done after waiting on another plumber that we gave him a $50 tip. He really should charge more. Give him a try for your next projects. This review is based on my experience while WAITING for a fence to be installed…read more Disclaimer: The fence is still not installed. We were looking for a fence that was approximately 190 Linear ft. We contacted Mr. Scagnoli on March 7th to get an initial quote on installing a Black Vinyl chain-link fence on a house that we had JUST purchased and had not yet moved into. We did this because we wanted to have a fence installed in a decent time frame, and we have been fully aware of how hard it is to get contractors currently, and how far they are booked out. We received our quote on March 12th at 10:20 am. I immediately contacted him and told him I'd like to get him booked for an install. Mr. Scagnoli told us that he would be able to get us booked for the end of March. This was perfect for us, as we would have just finished our move. The end of March came, and I never heard from Mr. Scagnoli. Now being aware of the current state of busy contractors I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and gave him a ring. I was able to get into contact with him, and he assured me that he was very sorry and that he still had me on the schedule. Mr. Scagnoli informed me that the weather was not holding out, and that we were temporarily pushed back due to this. This was understandable. Mr. Scagnoli told me that we would be the end of April before he'd make it out. I was ok with this, and proceeded to wait until the end of April. The end of April came, and we were about 1 week out from the close of the month. I never heard from him, so I called him. I assumed at this point he would want to at least come measure, and see the property, so I mentioned this to him when I called. He agreed he would need to do that, but that we had been pushed back a little further again due to weather. I asked him when he was thinking, and he again told me it would be the end of May. Now this was a little frustrating, but we understood and decided to wait. The end of May came, and much like the end of April, I called him around 1 week before the close of the month. Mr. Scagnoli informed me that he had a 3 month schedule, and that he was trying to fit us in. I informed him that I needed some sort of idea of when this would be, as we were going on Vacation in June. After talking on the phone for about 15 minutes he informed me that it would be the end of June before he was able to make it out, but he would give me a call back the first week of June to nail down details. We are at the end of the first week of June now, and I've received no such phone call. Mr. Scagnoli came highly recommended from other fence installers in the area. We are now 1 week into June, I've not heard from him, AND all other fence installers are about 4 months out. This is extremely irritating because now, my family of 4 children and a dog will most likely be waiting until next year to have a fenced in back yard. Had we been properly informed by this man in the beginning... we would have made backup plans just incase. I'm highly recommending anyone that books through Mr. Scagnoli make backup plans because if your experience with him is anything like mine, you will not have a fence installed in a timely manner. What I can say about Mr. Scagnoli is that he always remained professional and business like over the phone. I never once had a negative interaction with him over the phone, however this gentleman has affected our ability to have an installer come out in a timely manor. I'm highly unsatisfied with the fact that I've now called this man 8 times in roughly 3 months, and have never gotten what I was promised with each phone call.
