I called around to get more quotes, but his was the lowest. He could do it immediately and didn't need me to be home. For $500, he pulled out all the deep-rooted plants, disposed of them, filled in the 96'X5' divider with rocks, dirt and gravel to level it with the rest of the driveway and smoothed it out. He's not a perfectionist so you will have a tad bit of tidying to do afterwards (if your'e a perfectionist), but he's quite affordable.

When they pulled it up, they found the water had been pooling because the toilet has been leaking for over 18 months. The floor had to be completely removed and replaced. They put a non slip floor covering in the kitchen that was so rough that it wore hole 8n my socks and thir answer for pouring a concrete slab near my deck was answered by using a broken paver instead. The deck is so full of rough edges that I still get splinters if I touch the handrail. If I could, I'd give them a zero rating.

After 3 months of screwing around with her not showing up and doing the job wrong or crying to me about her stressful life, she refused to finish the job or refund my money. I would take her to small claims if I thought she would actually pay what the court orders.

Sometimes it can be confusing, but I have no issues replacing 3 pieces as seen. I think they did pretty good with the flooring that was and is older style. You he and forever can be tricky, but just lmk I can figure things out!' Despite this message, over a week has passed, and I still have no updates or plans on when they will follow through. To make matters worse, it became clear that their quotes don't guarantee your home will look better than before they start the job--a shocking realization. After leaving an honest review reflecting my experience, I finally got a response: 'Appreciate the 2 stars, even though we dominated and did everything perfect except 2 pieces of flooring. Have a blessed and safe day, but please ensure you're more accurate.' This response was not only unprofessional but dismissive of my concerns. This situation could have easily been resolved and my review improved with proper communication and follow-through, but the customer service was nonexistent. They advertise a 5-year parts and labor warranty, but based on this experience, it feels more like a 'tail light warranty'--good only until they're out of sight. Very disappointing. UPDATE: the owner responded with "Now 1 star!! Hahaha you know it shows you changing things right!! It's sad how you are, your the type that hide all the perfection thay was done, because someone chipped a piece of flooring in 1 piece and your demanding all new flooring!! Thanks for the love!! Good energy always!! God bless and stay safe" obviously this company isn't professional I never wanted a new floor I just wanted what was damaged fixed and was more than happy when they offered to come and fix the damaged pieces but after no follow up a week later left a bad review and he just spiraled from there. These guys only like you if you've got good things to say and do not know how to take constructive criticism. As for the warranty I would find work elsewhere, so many of these contractors pop in and out and with the treatment I've received I don't expect them to be in business in 5 years.

I'm not sure if they are the cheapest in town, but then, I don't think there's anyone else in town who sells a variety or rock, mulch and gravel by the ton. We went back to them to get a quote for excavating our divider. We were very impressed with how detailed and professional they were, even though they got back to us a week later and took a few more days to check-out the property. They quoted us over $800.00 for excavating our 90'X5' divider and would not do it unless we were home to supervise. We work so we can't be home, and it was $300.00 more than our cheapest quote so we went with Gritten. We're sure that Wrede & Sons would have done a prettier job, but for $300.00 less, we could tidy up ourselves. Next year, when it's time to spread fine gravel over the driveway, we're definitely going to go back to Wrede & Sons to have them deliver and rake the gravel into our very sizeable driveway.

In my opinion , Antoine was not punctual nor tidy (the job site was a mess , documented with photos) nor communicated fully with me. I often did not know when he would be here , he said 10 and showed up at 11 for a few hours. I sent a few texts to him asking "do you plan on working on my deck this week?" I paid $4000 for material and now have been told they are not what is needed for the project. The plywood for the roof was actually sub-flooring. 04/29/2024 project started and after paying for materials , I was told another $4000 was due for labor that would be done. 05/01/2024 I prepaid labor charges of $4000 and that amount of labor was not done according to his bid. Due to my concerns about the quality/safety - I enlisted the help of a professional contractor. It was determined the load bearing post for the shingled roof was substandard, I have photos that show them 10 inches in the ground with no concrete footers. The Professional contractor had a conversation with Antoine who agreed the foundation needed to be redone. A building permit was not pulled even though my deck is 4-5 feet off the ground , Antoine said it was not needed. Most days he was here for about 3- 3.5 hours , a few days not here at all - weather was not the issue , I was told "admin day".. I was told that the enclosed deck would take about 3 weeks and at the end of 2.5 weeks , Demo was not even completed (again I have photos) He walked away with $4000 of my money. I ended up emailing him a letter of termination as I was not confident in his ability to complete this job according to code & that the finished covered deck would be safe. Home Advisor /Angie's list has attempted several times to contact him with no response from Antoine. AND HIS WEBSITE SAYS: "WE CARE"

Found a few handymen online but they all told me they wouldn't work in the evenings or weekends...the only time we were available. I saw Antoine's website and decided to call him. He answered all my questions and was willing to come over that evening to check things out. He diagnosed the issue and we set up and appointment for that weekend. He arrived on time and quickly got to work. Fixed our leak quickly and cleaned up his work space. His pricing was reasonable and he was very personable. Since I was out of state, he sent me pictures and a full detailed email of what he did. I was surely impressed. So much so I hired him again to fix an outlet behind our stove that was preventing the stove from sitting flush against the wall. He came back two weeks later and just like before made the repair quick and efficiently. Truly appreciated his professionalism. Will definitely be using him again. Two Thumbs for A French Handyman!!!
