-------This is for the fuel station------- I had an incredibly hostile and unnecessary experience at this gas station that I feel others should be aware of. I pulled into full service expecting the attendant to pump my gas, as usual. I stepped out briefly to enter my rewards phone number and tap to pay with my cell phone. As soon as the attendant saw me attempting to use tap-to-pay, he angrily told me I couldn't do that. I calmly said, "Okay, no problem," and reached to grab my physical card instead. While I was in the middle of explaining that I was getting my card, he aggressively hit the cancel transaction button. When I tried to insert my physical card to pay, he began screaming directly in my face, "You think you can do whatever you want, whenever you want." I was completely caught off guard and confused. I wasn't arguing -- I was simply trying to pay. As he continued yelling at me, I had to ask another employee for help. Even his coworker was yelling at him to "drop it." Thankfully, another attendant came over and took over the transaction. Apparently, in his view, entering my own rewards number and paying with my own card is some sort of crime in Oregon. The level of aggression and condescension was shocking and completely unwarranted. This interaction felt especially intimidating and uncomfortable, particularly as a woman and a woman of color. No one should be screamed at for trying to pay for gas. I will not be returning, and I urge others -- especially women -- to be cautious when coming here. I want to say that your cashier in Checkstand #1 "Ms Ginny" is a true angel. She brings such a positive attitude to her work every day and treats every single person in her line with compassion and kindness. It is probably the reason people line up and are willing to wait longer in her line. Good employees like Ms Ginny are rare and hopefully are being really rewarded for the magic they bring! read more

I was at the gas station with my wife a couple of weeks ago. The gas attendants ignored us and it seemed like they were very biased toward certain customers. When we left, I found out that the gas cap was left unscrewed and was dangling on the side of my car. I would not recommend this gas station. read more

This is a review for the Fred Meyer gas station in Newport Oregon. Each line of gas pumps had an attendant on both sides so the service was quick and efficient. The prices here are great and the station is neat and the location is right on 101. The station is across the street And down a bit from the store so look for the signs. Happy traveling read more

Compared to the stores in Coos Bay, Florence, and others, this is one of the best-run Freddy's in the chain. Great selection of shoes and clothing - only negative is that they don't have a great big and tall selection. Other departments are pretty nice as well, and it was easy to shop the store. Checkout was fairly fast, only other downside was that it took a while to get someone to unlock the razor cabinet. Associate explained all their radios went missing, so they have to depend on the overhead pages. This is definitely a Freddy's I'll revisit. read more

Quick stop for fuel was able to pump yourself, got confused by the pumps questions Attendant was nice and helped out, price for fuel was knocked down by 20 cents off with rewards and got my soda for the road on a deal! read more

I went there to get a cup of coffee at their Starbucks cafe and the girl behind the counter wanted to charge me for cream and a package of salt because I wanted it on the side and not in my cup. They don't know how I like my coffee, how can I let them pour it in. This is the first Starbucks that has ever wanted to charge me extra for cream and salt. She didn't charge me for the sugar that I wanted in my coffee. read more

For gas this is a reasonable place and really nice people, although they certainly don't move quick. For propane save time and go somewhere else. We have tried twice and they don't help you until you walk all the way over to them and ask. We waited and waited and waited. 3 employees and 3 cars but they still didn't come over. I have four 5 gallon fuel propane tanks that supply propane for cooking on my boat and for heating water and space heater in my shop. I feel the tanks two and three times a week in the winter and the average fuel for each tank is between 4.3 and 4.6 gallons depending on the temperature. This morning I pulled into Fred Meyers again to fill up a tank and the meter kept going to 5.7 gallons. I told the attendant it was only a 5 gallon tank and the maximum fill with the overflow preventer now required is about four and a half gallons. He still put 5.7 gallons on the slip which I took to the cashier who happened to be the fuel station manager and he still charged me for 5 gallons even though the tank only holds maximum of four and a half. I will not only never buy McMinnville Gas propane there again, I will never fuel any of my vehicles again there either. read more

The gas station personnel at this Newport fuel station have been instructed to "disregard" the propane customers from Fred Meyer management. "Gasoline fuel customers come 1st" attendants will tell you and if they have time you may get service to buy propane. The last 2 occasions I've had significant waits, today 6/1/22, I asked the female manager Sherry(?) why I was being ignored & received a condescending & obnoxious reply of that's the way it is when buying propane. Go someone else was the final message. Not only will I never return to this station for propane, I won't return for gas or groceries at the store either. This "manager-employee" at this Newport fuel station would be fired anywhere else if our conversation was recorded and executive management witnessed her lack of "customer service". read more
