-------This is for the fuel station-------…read more I had an incredibly hostile and unnecessary experience at this gas station that I feel others should be aware of. I pulled into full service expecting the attendant to pump my gas, as usual. I stepped out briefly to enter my rewards phone number and tap to pay with my cell phone. As soon as the attendant saw me attempting to use tap-to-pay, he angrily told me I couldn't do that. I calmly said, "Okay, no problem," and reached to grab my physical card instead. While I was in the middle of explaining that I was getting my card, he aggressively hit the cancel transaction button. When I tried to insert my physical card to pay, he began screaming directly in my face, "You think you can do whatever you want, whenever you want." I was completely caught off guard and confused. I wasn't arguing -- I was simply trying to pay. As he continued yelling at me, I had to ask another employee for help. Even his coworker was yelling at him to "drop it." Thankfully, another attendant came over and took over the transaction. Apparently, in his view, entering my own rewards number and paying with my own card is some sort of crime in Oregon. The level of aggression and condescension was shocking and completely unwarranted. This interaction felt especially intimidating and uncomfortable, particularly as a woman and a woman of color. No one should be screamed at for trying to pay for gas. I will not be returning, and I urge others -- especially women -- to be cautious when coming here. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated.

This is not Michelin dining, nor is it fast food that you can get anywhere in the US on a road…read moretrip. We had been to the Oregon Aquarium and did not feel like cooking so we looked up carry out options & we were close to this place. It looks perfect from outside: the place is old, the signs are hand painted, there is a lot of color, there are a bunch of picnic tables, and the parking lot is gravel. It was getting crowded. We needed food for four and we got jumbo prawns and chips, halibut and chips, clam chowder, some kind of roll that was shrimp & cheese, and some cooked Dungeness crab with cocktail sauce. We had about a 15 minute drive to the house & we called ahead to get the oven turned on so we could reheat the chips and water boiling. Otherwise, we got all the main dishes out and went to work on the deck. This is well prepared good food that is best eaten outside on big table covered with newspaper. Added cold beer, corn on the cob, lots of hot sauce, ketchup for the chips, and some cheese cake from a farmers market for desert. It was a perfect summer meal on a perfect summer day with the sound of waves breaking on the beach about 300 feet away. If you go to this part of the Oregon coast you should try South Beach Grocery. The young woman at the counter was patient with our questions and the folks at the cooking stations were fast and capable with seafood that is not easy to cook but easy to mess up. There was no messing up at this roadhouse. They know what they are doing. Go here, eat here, and then go back and eat some more the next day. We did but two days later.
