Donna and her entire team of amazingly friendly staff are the OG of grocery shopping in ONP! From her Opening Day, til now.. It's Thanksgiving day 2025, Donna S. and Crew have become a core of our community! This is one of those rare franchises where Like "Cheers", "Everyone know's your name", at least for the locals! She is an extremely kind and generous person (Just ask our local food bank and her customers), environmentally conscience and committed to wonderful service in our close-knit little community! My hometown got a Grocery Outlet when I was a kid and since then I've been to a lot of them (because I'm old). This is my absolute new favorite. Literally the friendliest Grocery Outlet I've ever been in. It's clean, well stocked even in the heart of tourist season on the coast, the employees are super well trained to do all the things, and the owner is a sweetheart. If you see her working (because she's right there in it), tell her she's doing great because she deserves it. Understand I have no bias, I don't live anywhere near here. The lines never get too long before more checkers step up and they're so fun! Seriously best bag packing ever too. The prices are solid, the selection is top notch (even the froofroo food), and the fun extras are solid which is great considering it's Newport. Always go here before hitting somewhere more expensive, you'll never regret it. read more

The Newport store is exceptional for its organization, well-stocked shelves, helpful staff, and great prices. This is the place to shop for a great selection of "organic" food stuffs, frozen dessert, dairy, household, and pet food. Having visited a number of Grocery Outlet franchises this store ranks as the leader on how properly run a retail grocery store. Frankly, the larger grocery chains should be embarrassed. New to Lincoln County but not new to Grocery Outlets. I know what a Grocery Outlet store is coming from Multnomah County but I was SO surprised by how different this one is compared to the others I've been to. The store itself is super clean and very organized. I've been to others and have not found that same situation. I also was able to find the manager without having to click my heels 3 times and summon him. He was right there stocking shelves. I picked his brain about a few things and he was very responsive. We in Lincoln County are not blessed with a Trader Joes or a Whole Foods here. Well guess what? THIS is my replacement for that. I know you think that's over the top but seriously? No.. They've got gobs of healthy choices which includes organic in the label. There's a whole long row full of organic grains/rices as well as convenient foods that are organic options too. This also includes certain frozen foods as well as canned items throughout the store. There's a huge selection of frozen seafood, fish and other meats. I found sushi grade, fair trade certified ahi tuna! Oh yea baby. I can just open that bag and bite right into that! And the price was well below what I would have expected but hey, I'm in a Grocery Outlet (best kept secret) and not Whole Foods. read more

This place is pretty good I've been shopping at grocery outlets for years. From Beaverton to Washington, Vancouver, Portland, Gresham to Salem. We move a lot. Anyways this Salem one isn't bad I just think they need more gluten free and healthy food options. Other then that I like it. read more

Rude cashiers, who don't follow COVID rules, nonexistent management I sent a complaint to corporate over 2 months ago and heard nothing back from the "independent franchisee" . Don't waste your time or money here. read more

Today, GO went totally above & beyond to make something right that wasn't even their fault. I had purchased an item at the GO in Florence, only after being assured by the clerk, that I would be able to return it at the GO in Newport if I was not satisfied with it. Today I was told by a clerk at the GO in Newport that this was not the case since each GO is independently owned & operated. The manager, upon hearing my annoyance at having been given incorrect information, spoke to the owner & they took the item back anyway. I was already a big fan of GO, having shopped at them since 2001 in California. And now I'm a bigger fan than ever! read more

I was originally glad to see Grocery Outlet open here. Good bargains on many items including wine. I had originally purchased a bottle of Pra Venera Cabernet at the store in Florence and liked it. I purchased other single bottles of it at the Newport Store and then splurged on a case. The first bottle of the case was moldy when we opened it so I took the re-corked bottle back to the store. I was treated politely by the floor manager but she called the owner down. She told me the bottle would not be replaced nor would I get a refund or be given any credit and that was the risk I had taken buying a discounted wine. Her reason, she as owner would not get a refund and OLCC would not allow her to take opened bottles back. As I had paid $8 for the bottle, she had probably paid $3or $4, that week the store had a $3 off coupon. It would not have hurt her to apologize and be gracious to me. read more

Yay! Newport finaly got a Outlet. Love this store, do all my shopping here. Great Prices. and Food selections. The Owners are such a delight always smiling, and able to help you with things and answer questions, get things off shelfs. Staff there is awesome and will chat with you in line.
