    The good food !!!

I went to Trader Joe's the other day and I talked with a nice guy named "Tegan" and his bagger "Noah." They are both great gentleman, very nice, ask me lots of questions about myself I felt like I was welcomed to Trader Joe's. Tegan likes music and it was cool to hear him to talk about the music. Noah knows a lot of football and Maui. The organic food was a great selection!!

We loved the bouquet, and these seasonal Pumpkin, Ginger mini cones!

I have always loved Trader Joe's, but after yesterday's experience, I now love their employees! My daughter has been my caretaker during Chemo, but yesterday was suffering from her Lupus. BECAUSE of their help, (Traders Joe's went out of their way) I was able to give my daughter the flowers, and treats this time. (Good call on Pumpkin Hold the Cones) April is always helping me, and because of the Trader Joe's Family, you brought happy tears to my eyes, and a smile to both our faces!

Someone mentioned that the ones in Cali are cheaper, but we just moved from Cali a few months ago, and other than the two buck chuck, things were about the same price!

I have shopped at Winco/Cub/Waremart weekly my entire life and have found that every location I've…read morebeen in has helpful, pleasant employees. The only exception to this would be just about every deli employee in the Corvallis store. I say "just about all" because I usually only shop Thursday or Friday nights, so I wouldn't know if there are others that work there. I'm so frustrated with this department on my shopping trip that I will occasionally drive to the Albany Winco for my groceries. The experience I had 3/13/26 at approximately 5:00-5:15pm was what is driving this review. I walked up to the deli counter and saw there was just one other person being helped. The worker was having a very hard time figuring out how to close the man's large container of chicken. I could see the irritation on his face. That employee made eye-contact with me multiple times over the next 5 minutes, still unable to close the container. A female worker walks out from the back of the deli and makes eye contact with me twice, after each she moves onto a task. Another couple walks up. The chicken customer is visibly unhappy and walks away without his food. The employee asks the female worker to help him, and then he goes to the back. The worker moves to help the couple, knowing that I was there first. I impatiently waited till they were finished being helped. As they walked away another person walked towards her and she began helping them. Unfortunately, I was forced to intervene to remind her that I was next. If this had been an isolated incident you wouldn't be reading this review. Everyone has bad days! But this behavior is the norm for these employees. Every single time that I choose to shop the Corvallis Winco deli, I'm either looked at and then ignored, until multiple customer's step up, or they don't look up from their tasks to see if they have any customers. I generally have to say, "excuse me", 2-3 times before being acknowledged. And I do mean every single time. There has not been a Corvallis Winco shopping trip, since 2020, where I have not had to wait or ask for help from the worker, even when I'm the only customer standing at the counter. I don't know what their deli training looks like, but there should definitely be a better emphasis on customer service, because from what I see, there is none.

Winco is rapidly becoming a very MEH shopping experience. The more they "streamline" their…read moreworkforce and departments, the worse and more boring this experience gets. Bring back the custom deli where you can actually order under two pounds of industrial ham. Bring back the goddamn SEAFOOD COUNTER where you can order individual shoulders of salmon based on what you see in front of you. Pre-packaging and pre-wrapping everything in the store just ends up in a shopping experience even more generic and stupid that SAFEWAY, and that is saying a lot. GET WITH THE PROGRAM, WINCO! I used to love you, but I am growing increasingly ambivalent. I look forward to seeing how you (do not) respond to this -- another hallmark of your increasingly impersonal service.

Had it not been front end manager Gill at least he was professional and about my interaction tonight. I came to return a pair of Levi's that I had just bought a few days prior, I forgot the receipt so I just thought that I could give them my rewards number and the card that I purchased it on for a refund.. unfortunately for me, I came on a night when nobody at the customer service desk was working that should be over there. At first a nice girl was going to help me. I think her name was Rachel. Very nice smile seemed like such a good person, because I didn't have the tags with me. I told her I would go over and get another pair of those pants and bring them up. They only had one pair over there that were a size 32 in and mine 33 wide. When I came back, her machine had gone down so a tall grey haired guy told me to go down to the next register. I told him the pants were still down with her. He didn't ask me he told me that I needed to go over and get the right pair 33 he then shoves the other pair back at me to put away. His name was Rich. He then waits for me to come back up. I brought a different pair of these pants. It was in a different color I didn't know else to tell him he was just standing there waiting for me to do all the legwork. He then goes off somewhere, then comes back and looks at me like I'm an absolute problem and said this was gonna take a very long time that he was have to go manually search for the number at this point I just asked for my pants back, I realize I should have brought the receipt or at least the tags that was my fault. But having been an executive for target I know that there's also a way to get those numbers at least with target "receipt look up" where they could look up my information the day that I bought them with my rewards number and get that item number that I purchased, he was not gonna make this easy for me. Neither did he really want to and that was very evident. There was about four of them back there and they said none of them normally back there that they were all training and that Rich was from electronics. Well, Rich has zero customer service/ people skills and should not be working with the public at all. The other girls were very kind. They just couldn't help me. Nobody could help me. It was the weirdest interaction I've ever had in there. Then I go to get some meat from the deli counter. The guy back there is having a with somebody. I am waiting to be helped, another guy walks up. He immediately stops his conversation to greet that guy to see if there's anything that he wanted and at that point I just walked away and he said oh were you wanting something? I have never been treated like this at this store before it was absolutely like I didn't exist oh another thing is that a lady when I was dealing with the people at the customer service desk this gray long-haired lady that had glasses on was literally standing there spying on the conversation, just staring at me peeking around the corner from where the shoe department was. That was so weird and creepy looking as soon as she noticed that I noticed her she turned around and walked off like she was doing something over in the junior clothing. Such a weird weird interaction tonight. also Rich says that Im going to get the lowest price for my return because I didn't have a receipt. I literally showed him my fred Meyer reward card and the card I purchased them on. Gill gets an A Rich gets an F!
