    What I was given

What I ordered, and what I got. So disappointed. This cake was meant for my 3 year olds birthday. I don't even know how they were able to deviate so far from what I asked for. I do not recommend coming here for the bakery if you need a custom cake. They messed up so bad and didn't offer any kind of solution. Grabbed some sprinkles and will trying to make this look like a cake meant for child

bags are always ripping apart and don't have handles for some ungodly reason.

every single time i use (and PAY for) one of their bags they always rip apart ! AND THEY DONT HAVE HANDLES WHY !? all i had was some bread, mayo, and milk and somehow it was still heavy enough to tear and break open in the middle of the parking lot ! perfect ! thank you !

Wine & Beer bar in-store. Sample, drink, bottle to-go.

It reminded me of homemade banana pudding. The two gals working the counter were nice, and also quick. My only gripe is really more of a suggestion. I didn't know you could get toppings until I was sitting outside eating my ice cream already. On tropical Thursdays, they put a special sign over their normal one at the ordering counter, which shows the available flavors. I saw no mention of toppings on this big wooden sign, but did see it (too late) on this small printout version in the store window. Which brings me to the suggestion, of having a copy of this printout at the counter so when the regular sign is covered, newbies still know about the toppings. Overall great experience! The weather was perfectly pleasant for enjoying at the bistro tables just outside

You choose from 4 different berry flavors (marionberry, raspberry, strawberry, or blueberry) and can add some toppings to a cup or a cone. After picking the flavor, the frozen fruit gets added to vanilla ice cream in a special machine that mixes the fruit to make a smooth, creamy, fruity ice cream. I ordered the strawberry ice cream with crushed graham cracker topping and felt that the topping itself drowned the light fruity flavor of the ice cream. I wish that they added more fruit to the ice cream, as the fruit flavor itself was not as fruity as I hoped. Only a few pieces of fruit were added to the machine itself. I felt like it was a little pricey for the over all taste and hype. If you go when it is busy, there will be a long wait as there is only one machine making the fruit ice cream, so keep that in mind when visiting. Also, a really nice thing about this place is that on the day of your birthday, you can get a free ice cream!

Hubs & I shared the Beecher's & Brie Brulee and The Cheese & Crack Sundae. The Beecher's & Brie Brulee was honestly very good and shareable for 2 people. I've been a bit obsessed with brulee cheese since having it in Italy, but rarely see it anywhere so I was excited to see it here! And it was delish. Like an adult's lunchables, you can build your own sweet or salty or savory bite! Yum! The Cheese & Crack Sundae was delicious Vanilla Soft-Serve with a chocolate ganache and toasted marshmallow that make it like a s'more ice cream sundae. Really loved it, as it was *not to sweet* and I loved the toasted marshmallow bites. Service was fairly quick. They have one unisex restroom that was fairly clean. Parking is easy (street parking) if you don't mind walking a little.

The cones are $4 and you have the option to add flavored "dust" such as espresso, matcha, beet, and malt. My wife chose the malt dust with an added chocolate cowboy hat. She was very pleased with, but found the ganache at the bottom of the cone entirely too rich. Each cone offers a large amount of ice cream, and there did not appear to be sizes, but all in all, a very instagrammable and delicious cone. I opted for the banana pudding sundae, which consisted of the vanilla soft service and banana pudding topped with two Nilla wafers. I do this this could be a bit improved by adding Nilla wafers throughought the cup, but it was creamy and satisfied the sweet tooth nonethless. The indoor space was cozy with a few seats either facing the kitchen or the window. There's also an outdoor platform that most people opted for since the line really made inside feel crowded. Staff was friendly and delivered orders accurately in spite of crowds. I would love to return to cheese plates and/or the brie & marionberry sammy. Would 100% recommend if you're looking for a sweet treat with both traditional and more creative flavor profiles.

We got in line and my husband took a picture of our original receipt before we did the return for details on the garments that we purchased. A man in line behind us said something to my husband about why aren't you moving (in the line) and my husband turned around and said I'm taking a a picture and calm down we'll move in a second. The gentleman said oh sorry I didn't know. Well little did we know that a sales associate behind the counter that saw the interaction from a different perspective, thought that we were being rude to the gentleman behind us. So lo and behold we get up to her counter and she cops an attitude from the get go. My husband, who is the nicest person in the world, tries to make conversation with her at which point she turns to us and says I thought you were rude to the gentleman behind you. Mind you the whole time, she is giving us attitude and throwing our garments on the counter. That is when I stepped in and said oh no Liz, you don't get to say that. So here's the reason for my review. As a sales person I get it. You get good and bad customers. By all means Liz, talk to your coworkers after we leave if you think we were that rude to the gentleman behind us. The gentleman and myself and my husband had moved on from the incident, but you decided to make a bigger issue out of it. That is not customer service! That is rude on your end. Your job is to help the customer. Whatever you think of the customer in that setting, you keep it to yourself. Share with your coworkers after we leave. Share with your family when you get home from a long day. But do not tell the customer that they were rude when you did not read the situation correctly! At this point, it will be a very long time before I step back into a Nordstrom rack.

Then the guy said that markdowns are not marked off by pen. Then I told him that there were 2 of the same things marked the same way. I went to the shelf and showed him the other 2 items with the same pricing. He consulted with his coworker and decided to call the store manager. The manager said no and it would still need to be at regular price. I've never had this happen. Usually when there is a price difference and you find others with the same price, they honor the marked price. It was an unpleasant experience and probably need to revamp their policies to honor prices that are marked, especially if there are others with the same markdown price!

It's the end of July and a stack of April's issue of Portland Monthly's still in the window, so I…read morekind of figured they were closed. I just hoped that wasn't the case. Change comes for us all, and just because I can remember a time when Esparza's still made chile rellenos on the corner of Ankeny, Tapalaya served up nachos etouffee, Montelupo was a dive bar without a name (some called it Red Flag), Fonda Rosa was the lone margarita place, and the only pizza shop handing out slices was a Pizzacato next to Starbucks that was never open after Chopsticks karaoke, that doesn't mean it all had to stay that way. But I was convinced the families would keep Staccato Gelato around forever. Personally, I loved having a place to come after a movie or dinner where I could pair scoops (was really liking a stracciatella/pistachio combo, with birthday cake/cookies and cream a close second), get an espresso without waiting in line (even City State backs up a bit), or sample the most underrated little donut in town--the star of the coffee beer & donut festival each February. But this one wasn't about me. This was about the families who came here after school or events and made the place feel like its own corner of the neighborhood. It was groups of parents who had a place to corral kids for a bit, packs of pre-teens and teenagers learning to navigate neighborhood stores... and a ton of people running into each other when they were back from various trips during spring, summer, and holiday break. It was a lovely little community, and I'm sure losing that had to hurt. I thank the owners for giving this corner of Portland a decent third place to call its own. We'll get coffee and gelato again, but you gave people a cozy little home that's going to be hard to replicate.

They should be open according to yelp from noon to 10pm, I was here yesterday at 2pm and today at 3pm. Closed! And that is also stupid since the fifty licks store just a couple blocks down closed for good. Means if they are smart with advertising they could get those customer. Well for that you would need a reliable time frame to be open so that even regular customer not scrapping their nose on your windows. Disappointed so much I'll take two stars off from my regular five star rating for them.
