There's a Trader Joe's practically in every neighborhood now, but this one is my go to! I even drive additional distance just because I love the layout, the staff, and the convenience of all the shops in the area. You can accomplish so much in one outing. I'm really grateful for expanding their gluten-free options and the prices are always extremely competitive and beating the bigger supermarkets I don't wanna be dramatic, but I come here on a hard day. Pick some stuff out that I'm excited about and move on refreshed and hopeful with grab and go items that'll make my week so much easier. Whoever was managing Saturday 4/4/26 around 8pm (I believe Michael was the name on his tag) was unbearable. My wife and I came in to grab a few items and when we reached the register, the manager was berating our cashier about some (seemingly to us) minor mistake that happened prior to our arrival - the gist - because we heard so much about it - was essentially that whatever action she had taken may have caused a customer to have a bad experience at the checkout - which is ironic. He was beating a horse dead on the topic throughout our entire time checking out. It was clearly making her uncomfortable, as well as us. We had little to no interaction with her as she checked our items because he kept coming back with more to say. Even we get it dude! Enough Near the end of the transaction, she was obviously flustered and rightfully so, but tried to start a conversation with us anyway to bring things around - and he came back AGAIN with more to say! I imagine any turnover they get at this location is in part to this micromanagement style - even we told him he's being too much and too hard on her and to give her some space. It was a really icky experience and is the sole reason we will drive further down the road to visit another TJ's location instead. He was insufferable and if we experienced that as customers, there's no doubt the employees feel that way too. read more

The only reason I cannot give this store five stars was how bad the parking lot is to get in and out of. The store is extremely busy, and the parking lot is not configured for it. This is a nice Trader Joe's. The biggest difference between TJ's locations is, in my opinion, their parking lots. As far as that goes, this parking lot is on the bigger and safer side with multiple entrances and wide enough lanes. I've never not found a spot on the TJ's half of the lot. Other than that, the products, prices, staff, and layout are all pretty standard. Which is to say, good, as I am generally a Trader Joe's fan! read more

This is usually the least busy location. Always has something for your budget. Honestly went recently just to get the vanilla scones. Wish they had a closer one to Gresham. Think it would do well out here. read more

I am a big fan of Trader Joes and this is my favorite location. The people here are super nice and the store is very clean and organized. The prices are great! Their Covid requirements and precautions are good. Masks required, social distancing, sanitized carts, one way aisle traffic markers on the floor etc. I have my staples I get here and no where else. They have a bunch of organics and products that are unique and they items continually that keeps the people coming. A great marketing plan to boot. The produce and frozen section are two of my favorites. The organic veggies are reasonably so priced and fresh. The frozen section has so many healthy pre made dinners choices it makes it easy to eat healthy on the fly. TJ's is a great place to put a gift basket together or grab a bouquet of flowers. read more

This is my favorite grocery store. Things are priced just right. I prefer getting fresh cut flowers from here because of the price and the quality. The produce is of great quality as well. Do try their salad kits which are delicious. They also have ready to eat meal kits. The store is basically great but this review is on a deceptive product they're selling, under their brand, that's awful: "Trader Joe's Chicken Karaage"! I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later, after all it's not a perfect world. They look nothing like the picture on the bag. Go figure. It's about 12-14 ounces of "chicken nuggets" ( they state it's 18.7 ). Almost half of them are bits and pieces, some bigger than 3/8" some even smaller. They are almost tasteless and the "sauce" is like cream cheese, mayo, and some garlic/oil. I could have spent the $7.99 at McDonalds on their chicken nuggets, used their sauce, for a tastier and better deal, with far more nuggets! Don't be fooled like I was. This is the first time I've been crestfallen by one of their products and I hope the last. Never again! read more

Usually go to the Joe's on Chavez--this one's closer to home but the other closer to woodstock where other shopping happens. But do do some shopping this way on 82nd, so have visited. Smaller than the one on Chavez, a bit of a different layout, and the arrangement of the checkout counters a little confusing. But still the same quality goods and decent prices. Very friendly staff, in the aisles and at the registers. Parking lot can get a little crazy. read more

I like this TJ's because it's far less busy than some of the other locations I've been to. Parking has always been easy to get and I've never seen the parking lot full here since it is in a strip mall. Store is always clean and lines are always short. read more

We love this Trader Joe's! We just had the best experience with Iesha (sp?). She was kind and went above and beyond to care for our family. She helped followed us to our car because we had two carts and a stroller and helped us load up the car. The cashier was awesome too! read more

Well done, Trader Joe's. Social distancing in place, mask enforced, and directional arrows clearly marked. Carts wiped down and hand sanitizers conveniently located. Yes, it is a bit of a wait outside as they are limiting the amount of people inside the store. Depending on time of day, probably no more than a 10 minute wait? Staff are friendly and always willing to help. They are also very knowledgeable on their products as well. They provided suggestions when I was unable to decide on which items to purchase. I also love that they create an atmosphere that is fun and enjoyable. I like shopping here because I know I can find all kind of different goodies that I would not find in other grocery stores. Came during the social distancing rules in effect and Trader Joes' staff did an excellent job crowd controlling customers. They marked lines 6 ft apart and had everyone stand single filed in an organized manner. There was a table of hand sanitizer available and a sign that told customers that grocery bags were on them during this time. Although they missed to inform customers to not bring in their own bags because I saw some customers irritated they had to drop off bags at their car before they could go in. The employee manning the line was very nice and polite to everyone; especially during these stressful times. Inside the store, there were arrows taped on the ground to indicate the flow of traffic within small aisles so as to promote distancing. I'm glad the employees inside weren't too strict because they acknowledge it's okay to go against the flow in an empty aisle if it's just to grab some an item quickly. The checkout line's wait time was also super fast and I waited just 5 mins. Overall, the employees here did a great job promoting social distancing while make sure our shopping experience was a pleasant one during these unforeseen times. read more

Normally when I am in Oregon, I go to the Trader Joe's that's on 185th in Beaverton/Hillsboro but this place is the nearest to the airBNB I was staying. Normally I would take the 52 bus to my preferred Trader Joe's but this time it doesn't seem like a good idea. It's also close to the office that I own. So this will do. This is a really nice Trader Joe's as well. It looks like the community really cares about this store. Their Kung Pao Chicken is always something I like along with their toast. I always felt so good buying these things. Due to the fact this Trader Joe's in Oregon you can get some great organic alcohol that is brewed or made in the local area. This also includes deschutes beer which is native to the state of Oregon. Like the Trader Joe's in California, whatever you need they got it. read more

04/03/21: 4.75 out of 5 - Of all of the Trader Joe's I've been to in the Portland area, I particularly like this Trader Joe's. The staff are typically super nice and approachable, which is an issue in the customer service industry. The staff are just not friendly nor approachable. But, not at this Trader Joe's. Even if they are doing something, they don't seem to mind being asked for help and going, what seems to me, above and beyond. It's refreshing to see. The store is typically organized and well-kept. Everything seems to be in its place. Just makes shopping a little more bearable considering how the store can get crazy busy at times. Regardless of the busy-ness, the staff are fast to help or to get you checked out. These are the little things that can make the tasks in my days, or anyone's, a little bit easier. read more

Trader Joe's has a warm space in my heart. As a fledging foody back in my youth before I hit the culinary industry I remember packing my cart full of affordable goodies to go home and play with. Those days are long past but Trader Joe's hasn't changed. Oh, they have smoked white fish for those who want to whip up some Whitefish Pate. Good selection of wine for every budget and one of the cheapest places to get specialty cheeses. I love the frozen food section. Yes, I know... But. All those foodie foods ready to go in your oven with no fuss on those nights when you just want treats and don't have the energy to go out full Martha Stewart style in your cozy clothes while binge watching Hulu. I love love love Trader Joe's. I will go to multiple locations when I'm on vacation because sometimes you will find stuff at one that you didn't see at another! And let's face it, I just love shopping for food here. They have so many healthy options and so much variety. There is really something for everyone. This was probably the 5th location I had been in in the last week and definitely was my favorite. Totally not crazy crowded like all the other locations I had been to and I felt like I had time to actually browse in here. Who knows tho, I could've gotten totally lucky when I got here because maybe this place is usually a madhouse! Extra points for this location because I got my hands on the seasonal pumpkin chocolate chip oatmeal cookies mix that I have been looking ALL OVER for! Can't wait to bake those! I haven't been in for a long time. Only wanted to check them out and buy some biscuits to make breakfasts with. They had their house brand so that's what I came home with. Service was friendly and the selection of items I saw was very tempting. I almost also bought some cheese but talked myself out of it on the way to pay. When it comes to COVID precautions, this store and the team do not mess around, but they are still polite and friendly about it! Somehow, 11 months into the COVID pandemic in the US, idiots still fight the mask mandate with a store's staff and manager. Why? Because they are idiots. I've witnessed two very mild interactions when staff politely but firmly reminded an idiot that masks are required if they wish to shop in TJ's. There's a clearly marked sign requiring a mask and social distancing so reinforcing the requirements are plainly stated and the idiots begrudgingly complied. Kudos to the staff for adhering to safety protocols, even when it must feel uneasy to do so! read more

Trader Joe's we have reunited again, I am super HAPPY!! This time at this Clackamas location. The reason: Our dinner was at Olive Garden and this location is closest. I was given only one hour to shop, which is crazy! How am I suppose to shop in one hour?! My first time at this Trader Joe's location and I love it as much as the other location, I usually go to, the cashier are so friendly, they knew we were shopping from Hawaii. One of the employee, I didn't get his name, was so helpful in getting the items I was looking for. 5 star all the way!! Since I only had one hour, I grabbed my favorite Trader Joe's items and along with everything I could think of. My big kids went crazy too, esp. my son. He told me to take his 50.00 that he received from his grandma for the trip. ( funny boy!) I won't take your money but I am happy that you love Trader Joe's too!! This shopping trip to Trader Joe's I was happy they have all the seasonal items out, ready for Fall. I was happy I got my turkey gravy, ( Yes.! I love the turkey gravy) Trader Joe's corn bread stuffing along with everything pumpkin. I got to stock up on my pumpkin favs from Trader Joes. Along with my ghost chili pepper chips. Thank you Trader Joe Staff for the excellent customer service. I hope all my Trader Joe's good will last me til my next trip. YES! I love this location. Everyone who works here is SO nice! I went for a big grocery haul today and was checking out when there was a bit of a lull in the store, so one of the cashiers who was bagging my groceries asked me trivia questions, which was a lot of fun. Another customer joined in, and we were all laughing. The guy who was ringing me up was so nice, too; they both made my day. Grocery shopping is typically my least favorite household chore, but these guys made it a great experience! read more

Five reasons why Trader Joe's is tops around the holidays: 1) The best (and reasonably priced) German-style fondue. 2) Their Vintage Ale (9% alcohol) makes a fun stocking stuffer. 3) Great wine section for all my seasonal drinking and beverage gifting needs. 4) Our family motto is a clementine in every stocking and TJ's Josie's Seedless Clementines are perfect. 5) Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate. This location is only a year old and the most spacious TJ's I've found in the metro area. Seriously great staff on top of their fantastic products. Seriously, what can someone say bad about Trader Joe's? They have interesting things, they are usually priced fairly, the people who work there are helpful, and it's usually healthier fare. They even give you paper bags with handles! My only complaint is that the selection is limited. One could not do all their grocery shopping there. It's an "auxiliary" trip. It's good that Trader Joe's came to this corner of the metro area. It appears to have been well-received. Wow, can you ever tell you're in Portland. The employees at this Trader Joe's and the ones in SE PDX look quite a big "different" than do the ones in other places, such as in the Southwest. Talk about local flavor. I had a funny experience here. I always like to sample what they're cooking. Usually, it's a meatless pasta dish or some creative casserole concoction. I got up there, ready to dig in, and after reading the label, I asked the guy "Is this Indian?" He said "Yes." I put the plastic fork down. I then paused and asked "Did that come across as racist?" He laughed, and said "Yes," but that he's heard that comment about food a time or two. I told him I do not like any overly spicy flavors and he nodded. Then I added that if it was Middle Eastern food, such as braised chicken, falafel, or hummus, I would be coming back for seconds. Now that's not racist. Ah yes, Ecotopia, where political correctness extends to the local Trader Joe's. But, truthfully, he was a "good sport" about it and had a sense of humor. For things like breads, pitas, cheeses, sliced meats, hummus, yogurt, crackers, juices, and things like that, Trader Joe's is a worthwhile additional pit stop from the mega-store / supermarket. read more

This is a pretty great grocery franchise overall with quality products and pretty fair pricing. The goods are made with your health and the environment in mind for the most part and pretty tasty as well. Thus store is staffed by a pretty good group of people as well. My only gripe us that sometimes the store gets pretty busy and it is pretty small so there is nowhere to go and avoid the crowds like Fred's or Safeway - but really when you shop here you don't bulk shop usually so the trips are pretty quick. read more

I've been past this place 1000's of times and never really felt compelled to stop, was just out and about in the neighborhood and strolled in. So glad we did because this is one of my new favorite markets the demo land area in the back is amazing! Not only do they give you a sample to try, they give you the recipe list so you can recreate it yourself at home. The store is bright and modern and the staff was helpful and attentive. Picked up a couple items that I hadn't seen before can't wait to try out some new foreign recipes they have lots of international dishes in the frozen section that you won't see at Winco or Safeway. This review is more of a 4.5, not quite a 5. This is one of my favorite Trader Joe's. It's never too busy and everyone is so super duper nice. When I have rotations nearby, I often stop by to grab a salad for lunch. And darn it, I always forget to grab a friggin fork! Not an issue though because 10 out of 10 times I've forgotten, the kind cashier always asks if I needed one for my salad. It's an extra step that isn't necessary, but very appreciated! They are also my go to place when I want to grab healthy-ish goodies as goodbye gifts for the clinics. They always like the snacks I get and often tell me they will have to go get some for themselves after work! Sharing is caring... Only gripe I have is about their produce. I've boughten some not so fresh packaged produce unknowingly. It's always a bummer when you open your goods and get spoiled mush or they go bad too quickly. Parking here is easy and this location is close to the mall making it convenient for us to pop in and out for groceries. They are always well stocked and have everything that I need. There are a few items that are difficult to find inside this Trader Joe's store. One of those items is the single beers in cans and bottles. I was told sometimes those cans and bottles are sold out. I've memorized a recipe for Beer Sauce. It's similar to Wine Sauce... but it's beer. I usually don't buy Coors, Miller, Budweiser, or beers to pour in on top of the vegetable and sometimes Italian sausage or Kielbasa meals that include beer sauce. I buy some items for that specific meal at other grocery stores at times. The line at the Trader Joe's is sometimes a longer line. There was a younger pasty man standing too close to my spouse and myself in the line. I don't know if that's usual... because I don't go to this location of Trader Joe's That often. This happens more often that I'd like in this neighborhood. There were a few creepy younger pasty men inside this Trader Joe's a few years ago as well. My spouse's daughter and son (I inherited them when I married their dad) don't like Trader Joe's... although, I'm not sure what the reason is. There were plenty of shopping carts and baskets. As usual, there was an older pasty woman (she was shopping with another older pasty woman) who was talking to no one in particular. I didn't locate any chips or snack like cheese doodles that I wanted this time. And there were a few items that aren't "regular price" at this Trader Joe's... because those items cost less here than at other grocery stores. read more
