This is a warm & welcoming place with top-notch Professional instructors who make it fun and easy to learn to dance. I would highly recommend this studio. Everyone is friendly and the instructors will help you meet your goals whether it be for an upcoming wedding, gaining confidence socially, or just having a great time exercising to popular music. This studio is different from taking an 8 week community class where a little bit of everything is taught but nothing sticks or a studio with a where the instructors have superior attitudes. I've tried those before. This studio is the best. I'm so glad I found this place. It's great fun. I feel terrific with every lesson. Also, you don't need a partner, so I've been taking lessons and plan to getting my husband to join me before we attend two weddings later this summer. It will make the weddings so much more fun if we can dance together. It's good wholesome fun ! read more

Great studio with amazing instructors Dasha, Dmitry and Alex, Especially my super handsome teacher Alex. All of them are wonderful and super professional and we could feel their passion for dancing. Warm hugs and welcome every time. Fantastic show cases, practice parties and other activities. My husband and son are enrolled in the program, too. My son loves his awesome teachers Mrs. Dasha and Mr. Dmitry and he loves watching Mr Alex and Ms. Julia's performance with full of expressions. Now he is eager to join the competition next year and has been working hard for it. Dancing is always a joy and we will keep dancing. Thank you all the instructors in Fred Astaire of West Chester. We highly recommend this professional dance studio. read more

What started as an attempt to learn salsa almost a year ago has turned into a deep dive into the world of ballroom dancing. Not only are the teachers knowledgeable, competent, compassionate, and generous with their time but the students themselves are a part of what makes this place so special. How many hobbies have a built-in community? I can say that I was not expecting one here, but I'm glad I found it. My sister and her husband also took lessons here for their wedding dance. Besides their positive experience learning the dance, they also got quite the reception when performing it on the big day. Just be prepared to hear the same song over and over. And over. read more

I've always wanted to take ballroom dance lessons but have also been too nervous to start. When i got engaged, my fiancé and I decided to take lessons for our wedding dances and I'm overjoyed to have found this place! All of the instructors are so friendly and welcoming every time we walk in the door and we feel very comfortable learning to dance at Fred Astaire. I look forward to our lessons every week with Maria. She is absolutely amazing!!!!! I can't wait to show off our dance at the wedding and I will continue to tell all of my friends and family to start dancing here! read more

Maria was such an amazing dance teacher and choreographer! We would absolutely recommend her for anyone looking for first dance lessons. My fiancé and I have no dance background and were unsure of what we wanted for our first dance. Maria choreographed an amazing dance for us and taught us through each step of the way. We become more and more confident in our dance ability after each lesson and had a blast learning with Maria. She always made the process exciting and gave constructive criticism. Thanks, Maria! read more

Since June 2017, I have been a student at West Chester's Fred Astaire Dance Studio. If I could give this studio 10-stars I would. When you start dancing here you join a wonderful dance community because studio owners Dmitry and Daria cultivate a friendly atmosphere. They and their team of professional instructors will teach you to dance at your own level. Treat yourself and book an introductory lesson. You don't need a partner unless you want to give that special someone and yourself a memorable date night. read more

My wife and I are in our 60's and have never "danced". All of the instructors here are very good, patient and encouraging. We will never be Fred & Ginger but we are enjoying the ride and can actually move around a dance floor without the wheels coming off. Great place to start and from what we've seen a great place to take dancing as far as you want to take it. read more

Wonderful instruction, beautiful people, lovely space! If you have never danced before they are able to break each step down with great patience. Or if you come from a movement/dance background (like me) they have the depth to answer any question. I highly recommend! read more
