Every teacher she has danced with has not only been knowledgeable and accomplished but also fun and kind which is very important for cultivating a love of ballet and also the desire to push on. David the owner, an accomplished dancer and also a teacher there always offers a welcoming smile to the children and is always available to the parents. He certainly has a way with children. I remember when my daughter started dancing at his school she hated her tights and refused to go to class filling the waiting area with her screams. David was so gentle and reassuring and managed to get her to pull it together and join the class! All the staff are wonderful as are the families that that share my love of this school. I also want to compliment David and his staff for pushing on despite the COVID pandemic. Dance has never stopped for my daughter. Virtual classes went off without a moments hesitation when the world shut down. He put together a virtual recital in front of a green screen last June! Pretty amazing! Classes picked up on schedule this September. Small classes, social distancing and masks but the dance goes on. I'm so grateful for this little bit of normal and the smile on my daughter's face when she takes off that mask after class and tells me "Mommy that was fun!"

TDN you are a challenge…read more As the parent of a student who went there for three years, I've had ups and downs with this place. The instructors seem to truly care, but our last two lacked discipline and classes can sometimes get rowdy. Quieter children, like mine, are in the shadow of louder kids who do a lot of whatever they want. Many guardians hang out in the lobby, but unlike other dance studios, there is no attempt to make a community of parents. The lobby in this location could also use a good deep clean. Songs and routines are fun and the kids are in to them. This is the good stuff. The location is also killer if you live in Lawrenceville. The recitals here are mixed. In some ways they are very fun. The first one we had at TCNJ went off without a hitch. The last two haven't been as smooth, and the practice for this last recital was a joke. They were incredibly disorganized, there was nothing for young kids to do backstage, and my wife waited for a while for a parent to show up. None did so she just hung out backstage for pretty much the whole rehearsal. At the end of the day, this is a decent dance studio. If you're not taking things too seriously and you're looking for a convenient location, you probably won't go wrong here. That said, we've had experience with a number of places, and this one wasn't exactly on the top of our list. As convenient as it was, we ultimately decided not to come back. This may or may not end up working for you.

Princeton Fitness and Wellness offers it all - large variety of cardio…read moremachines, free weights, weight and cable machines, various group classes, an olympic-sized swimming pool, and saunas in the locker rooms. There is even a child playroom for parents, free WiFi, physical therapy sessions, and a small cafe as well. With a family-friendly feel, it is easy to feel comfortable here, which is not always the case with most gyms. Clean showers and locker rooms and consistent towel service also show that hygiene and service are valued. Although I haven't used a trainer myself, they all seem friendly and knowledgeable. I find that typically 9-10am is most crowded on weekdays, with the rush dying down by noon/1pm. It can also be a challenge to find parking before noon on weekdays. Bagel Barn is also right nearby if you need a post-workout meal! Although membership prices may seem steeper than other gyms in the area, the value for the facilities and service you are getting is worth it. If you can stick out the sales process, which some people have had bad experiences with, you won't be disappointed with the actual gym experience.

I had a show around with Beau when he finally did get to me, helping customers who came in after me but who were members there. I had been told by many other customers that, based on finances, you could get a discount on the monthly fees. My boss had just cut my hours at work. Beau didn't know what was entailed and told me Tony, the manager, would call back on Tuesday after Labor Day, so I did wait until Thursday, and I called again. Again told Beau or Tony would get back to me. 3 weeks went by despite my emailing and calling, and no responses. Finally, I reached Beau yesterday, and he gaslit me and talked me over, saying I was the problem...I should have given more time and reached out to Tony more; now they have no so-called scholarships. I was told to write a letter and for 2 weeks given the runaround about what I had asked needed to be in it, with no responses, but hey, if I want to pay $89 a month, he will sign me up right now. I guess if you need financial assistance, you are not worth their time of day. I mean, if they didn't have assistance, they could have told me 3 weeks prior, but they do have they are offered but the staff and management can't be bothered to be upfront and honest or even return emails and calls. I know people that have the discounts or scholarships, as Beau put it. It's their business, so why should I have to chase after them or be talked to so rudely for wanting to join? Beau even had the nerve to say the person who recommended me paid full price, so I should too. Our financials are different, and he asked why I even wanted to join there... umm, for my health. Isn't that why most people join a gym? I am not a youngster looking for a hookup; that is for sure. Just the blatant disrespect and maybe discrimination because I am not a youngster leaves a bad taste in my mouth. This gym is 5 minutes from my house and Beau basically told me I could sign up and use their other facility. Umm, no why would I want to go 25 minutes or so from my house when this gym is right here? I didn't do anything to deserve this rude treatment. I just want people to know how they treat potential customers.
