This is the first time my son is taking any classes, so we weren't sure. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place given the following facts: - The 2 instructors (who take turn) are very strict and cold to the kids. I think younger kids need more attention and need to be encouraged rather than be spoken harshly. My elder 9 year old daughter has been going to an American Tap school for the last 6 years and I have seen the difference. - The place is unkempt. The three Saturday mornings I went, I found the carpet in the lobby to host all kind of trash and never vacuumed. Maybe the place operates on a lean staff and they do not have this covered. But not a good impression to give newcomers especially. - We had a tiff with the center on the fees. We were charged for the trial class even though we weren't told initially that this class would be charged (In my opinion a trial class is normally free unless stated specifically). Upon pointing this out, we were reimbursed the money in again a very cold hostile way. Hope the center realizes its mistakes in dealing with newcomers and takes this review in a positive constructive manner.

We have witnessed our daughter grow in not only skill and technique but in her confidence & personal discipline.

She has had classes with several different teachers and has loved the way each class is different and each teacher has helped her grow in different ways. Our only problem is we currently live too far away to be a part of the full program, but it is worth the drive a few days a week and would have her in full time if distance wasn't an issue!

I've also been impressed with how the school began to provide high-end virtual opportunities and socially distant summer camps when this became necessary. They adjusted the common areas in the studio and the classrooms to allow for proper distancing, too. Mr. David worked with the parents to explain the new measures and made sure we feel comfortable. Every teacher she has danced with has not only been knowledgeable and accomplished but also fun and kind which is very important for cultivating a love of ballet and also the desire to push on. David the owner, an accomplished dancer and also a teacher there always offers a welcoming smile to the children and is always available to the parents. He certainly has a way with children. I remember when my daughter started dancing at his school she hated her tights and refused to go to class filling the waiting area with her screams. David was so gentle and reassuring and managed to get her to pull it together and join the class! All the staff are wonderful as are the families that that share my love of this school. I also want to compliment David and his staff for pushing on despite the COVID pandemic. Dance has never stopped for my daughter. Virtual classes went off without a moments hesitation when the world shut down. He put together a virtual recital in front of a green screen last June! Pretty amazing! Classes picked up on schedule this September. Small classes, social distancing and masks but the dance goes on. I'm so grateful for this little bit of normal and the smile on my daughter's face when she takes off that mask after class and tells me "Mommy that was fun!"
