TDN you are a challenge…read more As the parent of a student who went there for three years, I've had ups and downs with this place. The instructors seem to truly care, but our last two lacked discipline and classes can sometimes get rowdy. Quieter children, like mine, are in the shadow of louder kids who do a lot of whatever they want. Many guardians hang out in the lobby, but unlike other dance studios, there is no attempt to make a community of parents. The lobby in this location could also use a good deep clean. Songs and routines are fun and the kids are in to them. This is the good stuff. The location is also killer if you live in Lawrenceville. The recitals here are mixed. In some ways they are very fun. The first one we had at TCNJ went off without a hitch. The last two haven't been as smooth, and the practice for this last recital was a joke. They were incredibly disorganized, there was nothing for young kids to do backstage, and my wife waited for a while for a parent to show up. None did so she just hung out backstage for pretty much the whole rehearsal. At the end of the day, this is a decent dance studio. If you're not taking things too seriously and you're looking for a convenient location, you probably won't go wrong here. That said, we've had experience with a number of places, and this one wasn't exactly on the top of our list. As convenient as it was, we ultimately decided not to come back. This may or may not end up working for you.

My daughter started at 4 taking one class a week and her love for dance blossomed from there, she now takes 6 classes and has found her passion of dance. The teachers are all kind, caring and talented. They take time to get to know every student and provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. I also like how the school includes the children to get a chance to learn and work with professional dancer and are included in their productions.

Lots of favoritism here and they roll out the same tired old productions year after year! Not inspiring for dancers at all. The teachers all seem to be from overseas with lackluster bios and the few that are US lack any current dance experience. This studio tries to be something that it's not. So happy we left.

We had arrived and was welcomed in by our instructor Julia. We had brought in some snacks and wine. Plates, cups, and ice were available for us to use. They had prepared the easel, canvas, paint brushes, and paints that we would be using. Julia began her lesson and showed us our painting that we would be working on. Julia was super helpful and patient with helping us make our masterpieces. I am no Picasso but with Julia's guidance I didn't do too shabby! Overall it was a really fun team building activity for myself and coworkers. This was my first time at a sip and paint and Julia made it so enjoyable. There was also some music playing in the background as we painted which made it more fun.

This program really helped our family not just develop our musical abilities but also helped me and my husband be better parents. The parent education provided with the fun musical activities gave us ideas and tips on how to communicate with our daughter when she was pre-verbal and how to use music to soothe a fussy child, to teach new things (like brushing teeth), and to redirect unwanted behavior.
