The tequila options are great if you drink. It is a loud spot though so if you don't like that it's not for you. My favorite server/bartender is Alex and David. I haven't tried much of the other options and when I did I wasn't a fan of the other food and that's coming from a Latina. I do love their chips and salsa and they have great cocktail options. Most bartenders are nice but some are not. I come at least once a week.

Not terribly inventive Mexican given what's out there in DTLA or even OC but kudos for attempts at menu expansion! I do think the guacamole is really good, the mezcal offerings are awesome, the decor is upscale and Happy Hour pricing is worthwhile. I find this restaurant very loud however. Because of that, I booked outside seating on OpenTable for Cinco de Mayo for drinks at 6:30 for 4 of us. We arrived at 6:25. We were notified that they were running behind, but still were not seated at 7... we were told there was no outdoor seatings coming up in the near future but they could honor our reservation shortly at an indoor table... but unfortunately it was club-decibel live music for the holiday so we went elsewhere. I do feel that managing holiday crowds and reservations is a reasonable expectation for a restaurant of this caliber/ price point. Recommend as a local option only but with a few caveats, not my top choice.

Lots of seniors due to senior discounts available during the weekday lunch hours. Paradise Buffet now serves SUSHI AND SASHIMI! I'm not sure when this started but it definitely was not there the last time I ate at this place. Not much seafood options (no more fried shrimp). Noteworthy: 1) The Hibachi grill- love the staff. They are alert and responsive to special requests eg well done noodles please. The sauces and oils are of good quality. The broccol, onions, mushrooms and cilantro have always been fresh and abundant.( photos). 2) Really delicious, well marinated and grilled chicken wings.( photo). 3) fresh salad bar with good quality a really nice balsamic dressing.. Lots of cut lemons next to a delicious cucumber and tomato salad. 4) from mac & cheese and wings to pizza for the kids to some good fish, steamed fish dishes with very attentive staff looking over and replenishing right away. 5) really good carrot cake and brownies. The team here that picks up the dishes deserves all the credit for their warmth, hard work and patience. Seniors over 60 get a 10% discount and it basically comes to 17 bucks plus drink and tip or so for an awesome lunch. Can't beat that.

I ordered the veggie omelette made with egg whites, and it was absolutely delicious--light, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. The vegetables were fresh and flavorful, and the melted cheese tied everything together beautifully without overpowering the omelette. It felt hearty yet wholesome, which is not always easy to pull off. The ambiance made the experience even better. Village Grille has such a warm, welcoming vibe--comfortable, relaxed, and inviting, the kind of place where you want to linger over your coffee and enjoy the morning. On top of that, the service was attentive and friendly. The staff was genuinely kind, checked in at just the right moments, and made me feel well taken care of without ever rushing the experience. Between the delicious food, cozy atmosphere, and excellent service, Village Grille is a place I'll happily return to--and highly recommend to anyone looking for a great breakfast spot in Claremont.

The service is nice, the short order cook fast but the food is mediocre at best. The pancakes were just shy of soft cardboard. The eggs were good and my daughter liked the change after too much dining hall food. The eggs Benedict came with a huge weapon - definitely overkill for the poor little piece of ham that almost falls apart when you look at it. The Hollandaise was a symphony in lemon and the English muffin was charred. Go for the atmosphere not the food. And yes you will have had breakfast. Just so-so.

This place was packed and for our table of 6, we had to wait about 45 minutes. Pro tip (call ahead, you'll be happy you did). But we walked around the cute town and came back with a table waiting for us. To start, I had to try the iconic salad. My mom and her friends raved about how yummy the salad was and I have a sneaking suspicion why. That bad boy is packed to the brim with so much cheese. But yes it was totally yummy. My favorite part is they bring you a whole squirt bottle of vinaigrette dressing. Yes please! I totally understand the hype. The rest of our meal was ok. We got the fajitas which were seasoned great and the tortilla soup was nice. Drinks were totally great! I got the jalapeno margarita and white peach sangria (which had a little fizz - totally appreciated) Pleased with our visit to Espiau's! If you plan on visiting, I definitely recommend taking a peek at their large menu online before you get there so you have an idea of what you want. They have a huge patio area with fun games to play for the entire family, which is a great touch. The inside is a bit small with only a few tables and a little area to order, but the outdoor space really makes up for it. The staff was amazing in guiding my family and me toward the best food options for what we were craving. I ended up ordering the B.T.S.A. sandwich, which was a lovely combination of toasted bread, mayo, avocado, spinach, bacon, and tomato. It was a well-balanced comfort meal that really filled me up. For the side, I chose the cucumber over the fruit and sprinkled a little salt on top, making it a perfect pairing. I enjoyed the whole meal with an iced tea and really look forward to trying it again. I would love to come back on the weekend if I can manage to find a parking spot!
