Even a few days later, when I thought of more things to ask, he was quick to respond and made sure I got the info I needed. I asked a lot of off the wall things, but he was patient and made sure I understood the explanation of different types of patios and materials. Before starting the project, he walked me through the plan and introduced me to my project manager, Luis. Luis was great, he kept me updated the whole way, even during the first week when I was out of town. I had no worries and I was able to enjoy my vacation while full on construction was going on at my home. Every crew that came out, roofing, painting, cement, told me what they were there to do and asked if I had any questions before getting started. I also have to mention Blanca in the office, every time I called, she was so friendly and easy to talk to, it was like I'd known her for years. The end result? My patio is beautiful! I was torn between putting money down on a larger home and moving, or building a patio to add square footage for gatherings. I am so happy I went with a new patio instead of the debt of a new home. I had to personally put getting any remodeling and home additions on hold while I cared for my dad for over a year. We talked about my patio dream before he passed in March. He kept telling me -"get that patio done". I'll think of him every time I'm enjoying my new space.

After attempting a DIY acid stain job, my back patio came out very ugly, and needed some professional help. I started looking into companies to overlay new concrete over the patio. I had actually first found Superior Concrete on craigslist while searching for a company that can do a stamped concrete overlay. I called and I was scheduled an appointment for an estimate immediately. The business owner Artemio came and gave me a quote for the job. He told me a little history on him and his company. Artemio has been in the industry for many years, but just started his own business a few years ago. I was a little worried because I could not find very many reviews for his company, but he showed me some of his work, and it looked great. After speaking with Artemio I called a few other businesses, and had a few more people come to my home, and give me estimates. Superior Concrete Designs was MUCH cheaper. I was still worried whether or not I should spend the extra money and go with a larger company, or save A LOT and go with Superior Concrete. Ultimately I decided with Superior Concrete and I could not have made a better decision! They worked very fast, but definitely did not rush. His son, Artemio Jr, is a very hard worker and very nice. Sergio came our, quoted the job and told us about his business and after comparing the quotes we realized that Sergios was very competitive. So we hired him and his team. They came out and in one day did all the concrete work that we needed by concreting, where two stalls were in our barn, concreted, the lean too attached to our barn for us to store our tractor and also put in a concrete pad for a propane tank.
