I spoke with this service center 2 times and they were very prompt on calling me back and answered my questions about getting inspected and for me to send photos of my fender which was damaged when I was parking it. I have very low spoiler and it went over the curb. It's a 2014 Camaro convertible and I almost took the entire front end off! They want to see in person but it's been snowing and I can't drive it in the snow so this review will continue hopefully before spring. They were great to talk with, called me after hours and shop was closed which was impressive. I would give them a shot. Good reputation around town also! So I don't live in the area but work in the area and was in need of service ASAP I look online and read the reviews for Franks so I went with Franks very kind atmosphere and they were not able to look at my car today, but told to bring it back on Monday. Drove off and my car gage indicator went hot turned around and took back to Frank's. They said they will look at my vehicle and provided me a loaner vehicle so I could back to work. I was also in the hospital getting back surgery and they completely took advantage of my beautiful wife.. I needed a power steering module on a acura tl that I could have done for $250.. they charge close to $2500.00. Lied about it needing to be calibrated when all you have to do is apply power. DUH!!!! I'm a hobby car guy, specialty is maintenance. But inspections I can't do for obvious reasons. My wife brought the car in for Inspection Stickers. Had an appointment. Inspection stickers = $90 Coupon= $50 off Great offer - 1 Yelp Star They did a "courtesy" check on the car for due maintenance. didn't ask for it. Their recommendation: change Engine & Cabin Air Filter Cost: $80 (really?) changing Engine oil is more tedious, and yet its less expensive? Simple fix, so I declined Bought the filters, and started with the engine filter. Come to find out the filter was examined and put back in incorrectly, upside down. All the dirt that was out was now going in. Plastic housing was forced the back on. Now I have dirt lingering inside the cylinders. Hopefully it doesn't lead to anything major. I've added pictures to support my findings. Cabin air filter was examined and never placed back in. Like a dresser was the drawer cracked open. This could be a coincidence, but the brake light is now out. Easy fix. My experience was positive the first time, I took the car in. This time, they try to use scare tactics on my wife. I was hoping this would be my "Go-To" shop but not after this. Conclusion: I don't mind the high prices, if it was quality work. Even without the Coupon I still would have gotten the inspections done at Frank's Servicenter. But now, they've lost a customer. read more

Took my Fusion in for an oil change and state inspection. I was concerned my tires would fail inspection and I didn't want to replace them until December. No problem...they pre-measured the tread and noted the tires met state requirements. McCaffrey's told me the tires would have to be replaced without a formal measurement. They were courteous and an experienced, professional staff provided detailed explanations about the work being done or proposed to be done. Picked me and dropped me off, as well. Pricing is less than dealers and feedback was honest and sincere. They recommended new air filters, which is standard for most cars with notable mileage, but I declined. No big deal. My car was returned with no grease smudges (thank you!). I will definitely return for future service. And they have experienced diesel mechanics for my Super Duty. read more

Until recently we always took the family cars to the dealership for everything from oil change to maintenance and inspection, but when our service manager of 20 years retired, so did the quality of service. We tried a few places, and were never happy, but then we found Frank's Servicecenter, more specifically Jerry. Jerry is an asset to this organization, maintains a clean and safe environment, having a courteous staff that displayed team spirit, and most importantly an honest and open communication with me the customer. The service recommendation for my mileage included a cabin air filter change, but instead of just doing it to bump up the price, he evaluated it and determined it can wait the 5000 miles until the next oil change. The service was fast and professional, with a direct call when they were ready to see what service I wanted them to complete and again once the car was ready, allowing me to go about my day and not be stuck in the waiting room. read more

On Christmas Eve, AAA towed my car to Frank's - it stalled out and wouldn't brake properly. Had never heard of them, but they were on the phone quickly to tell us what they were doing to figure out what was up, ask questions about what had happened, etc. Ultimately they couldn't find anything wrong (yay - car is fine now, must have been something I did when it stalled out), but I figured we owed them for the time they put into it. But when we got there to pick it up on Dec. 26th there was no charge. What a group of honest and honorable people. They will be my go-to garage moving forward. read more

These guys are awesome! I had been to several other tire shops trying to get my 35s mounted and balanced, apparently that's a hard task in this part of the country. These guys got them mounted, balance, and did an alignment. They also fixed 2 scratches on my rims. They did an inspection of my suspension and told me the findings, never once did they push any unnecessary parts or service on me. Oh! And they gave me a loner car for the day! Best customer service I've ever received. Will be going to see them for any and all future repair and maintenance. read more

Everyone is super nice. They are always smiling...that's cause they know they are taking you over!!! Had my van in for a misfire. Not only did they fix that they also supposedly did an inspection to ensure my van was safe. So they recommended a valve cover gasket replacement and transmission fluid flush. They had also mentioned that my radiator hoses looked a little rough and to have them checked again at next oil change. So I had them complete all of that, for over $1.200.00 The next day I smell something burning in the van and here the antifreeze tank was empty. Took it back to Frank's to find out my radiator is leaking. Not the hoses but the radiator was cracked!!!! And they could fix it for me for $750.00.. Are you kidding me! So I said no but they still charged me $65.00 to diagnose something they did not see the first time. Makes you wonder if the mechanic might have done this replacing the valve cover gaskets HUMMM!! Will never go to Frank's again and will certainly inform all my friends and neighbors this is how a local business treats people in the community. read more

I don't have to go back until the next oil change and if I do Because of some unfortunate flat tire or problem I can schedule a loaner car. Frank's service is amazing. He takes care of his customers and their cars. When you walk in you're greeted by the gentleman at the front desk. They somehow remember my name even though I'm only in a couple times a year. His work space is very clean as well. I really like the email and texts that I get when they do their inspections. When it comes to mechanics in my experience you get what you pay for. If you want to know the work will be done right the first time go to franks. You will pay more then some other places nearby, but there's a reason for that. If you have a throw away car, franks might not be for you, but if you have a car you want to maintain over the long term, I suggest you suck it up and pay for quality service, because choosing the alternative can end up costing you more in the long run. Obviously experience is anecdotal, but my brother has a very different philosophy on mechanics, he goes for whoever charges the least every time. I have seen him have to go back for the same problem repeatedly over the span of a month. Still overheating even after someone "fixed" the problem? Check engine light still coming on even after it was checked out? That crap does not happen at franks. The same cannot be said for other nearby bargain mechanics. Another reason I don't mind paying more at Frank's is because they have several (four?) loaner cars that they will let you take out. If that's important to you just call ahead to make sure one is available. For me that is a huge selling point. I once heard a saying, anything that goes between you and the ground should be maintained and purchased with care. Beds, office chairs(for work), car/car maintenance, etc. I think that is good advice read more

My daughter ruined her tire and rim on the way to work in Trevose. It was her second day of work in an unknown area. We researched on AAA site and saw Frank's was very close and was a AAA approved business. Frank and Pat answered all of my questions, so we had the car towed there. They offered a loaner car free of charge if needed. Luckly the car only needed a new tire and rim everything under was ok. We got lost trying to find where my daughter worked to get her to the garage on time for the loaner. These two men were pleasant and understanding of our stress level since we live almost an hour away and got lost. The cost was about what we expected to pay. The car was ready the next day.
