I had a really great experience at Mavis, thanks to Chris. After I hit a pothole and damaged my rim, I came in pretty stressed--but Chris immediately made things easier. As a customer who carefully scheduled an inspection online and received multiple confirmations, I arrived prepared and on time--only to be told the appointment was at a different location and that inspections aren't done on Mondays. The front desk staff were dismissive, rude, and even made false claims by insisting I had booked the wrong location. They offered no apology or clear explanation. I initially questioned myself, but after reviewing my email confirmation, it was clear I had booked the correct location. This experience felt both disrespectful and frustrating, especially as someone who values her time and trusts the system. If this service cannot be reliably provided, it should be removed from the online scheduling system--or at the very least, customers should be proactively contacted if the system is malfunctioning--to prevent unnecessary confusion and inconvenience. read more

DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!! Especially if you need to repair a tire w a nail. THEY PREY on the uninformed or women by saying a tire cannot be repaired with a clean nail through it. The tire was a Goodyear Eagle Sport on the center of the tread. I did my research and they said it was "ILLEGAL to fix a run flat tire and need a new tire" It is NOT ILLEGAL! I took my car to my son's friend Eppie's Discount Tires where my son had run flats patched (which has been on for years) and the owner said it's a scam to profit off a brand new tire which costs roughly $350. It cost me $40 for them to patch my tire. Very unprofessional the way they spoke to me. DO NOT GO TO HERE! The staff at this location needs to attend seminars on customer service. Mavis Discount Tire on Jaymor Road, Southampton, PA, took me by surprise. When my regular tire place was closed early over the weekend, I found Mavis not far away by researching on Yelp. I knew Mavis existed, but had no clue whether they were reputable or rip off like some other rubber joints that hold customers up in services performed. No need to worry. These guys were not only straight ahead honorable, but had very competitive prices and were open on Sunday. A phone call led to a discussion of available options, set the price and secured an appointment with the tires put aside for me. I arrived Sunday morning and was greeted professionally, yet personably. The manager went over the agreement, and had my car up on a lift within 10 minutes of arrival. I was allowed into the garage to oversee the removal and replacement of the four bad boys. They discovered something loose in the wheel, pointed it out to me, and repaired it easily without extra charge. They bagged two of the old tires for me in case I needed a spare in the future. I learned that Kelly Tire was part of Goodyear, and carried a solid 55,000 mile warranty for their all weather version. On an AWD wagon that was important for all the things we used it for. I was also told to return soon for a final check on how the tires and wheels were acclimating. Will take care of that tomorrow. I was impressed with how smooth the operation ran, as much as I was with the very reasonable price given without the need to hondle. Incredible experience. I had to write this review. We visited this Midas location at 6pm on July 4th holiday weekend. Most stores would have seen us coming in with a flat tire and say they're closing. NOT here. Dan greeted us with a smile, made us laugh, made a bad situation great and immediately fixed our flat tire. Brian in the front helped check us out and made us laugh. They literally fixed the tire and gave us the most reasonable price ever. I was thinking as we drove over that they would be so mad we were arriving so late in the day. Instead, the ENTIRE store treated us like it was first thing in the morning. They truly helped us. I will go to no other tire place than Midas from here on out because of this experience. I had bought 4 tires at this location. While waiting for my tires being changed, I was verbally abused by one of the employees friends just standing around talking with the employee. To say the least I had a very uncomfortable feeling with the gentleman presents and hostility that was held toward me. I did not intend in writing a review until I had my car inspected this month and found out that from the dealership that 8 of the lug nuts were stripped out that unfortunately cost me an additional $150. To say the least a serious safety issue was created with my purchase of the four new tier. I do not recommend this tire service center to anyone! read more

So much for being a tire sales place they have no problem over the years selling me thousands of dollars in tires,but show up at 8am no mechanics on site lights off i entered building stood there for over 5 minutes waiting for the guy at the counter to address me .After he was finished doing what he was in the middle of walked away went into the garage came back and than asked what i wanted. I have been going to STS, and now Mavis for over 20 years. The people there are always nice to deal with. I am not pressured to buy anything that I don't agree to, even if suggested. I took my husband's car there to be inspected, tires rotated, a synthetic oil change, and checking air in his tires. Everything was done, except for the inspection because I was called and told that their emissions machine was not working, and they were waiting to have it repaired. I was a little disappointed as now I have to take his car back again to be inspected once their machine is fixed. Both his car and my car are both due in June for inspection. So, I'll take it back, and then shortly thereafter will take mine. read more

I did not expect to fine not only did they do a great job with my tires they went the extra mile and check my brake, shocks , battery all my fluids!!!! all for a very reasonable price., I know now we're I will be taking my car when it needs to be inspection or maintenance! Customer beware and make sure you take photos of your entire vehicle before you choose Mavis for your auto repair store. Enter at your own risk should be the sign they should post. I have been a customer of mavis tires (15 years) way before it was Mavis. (it was STS). My entire family would take their cars for tires/oil changes and any non warranty repairs. I woke up with a nail in my tire so I took it over for a simple tire replacement when I received my car back it had a big scratch in the steering wheel. I know my car and keep it immaculate so I definitely would know if my steering wheel was scratched before I left it in there care. It was brought to their attention that same day, photos were sent to the shop and also forwarded to corporate. The response from Gary the regional manager was typical of a corporate run business which was our videos show nothing and there is no proof we did anything to your car so pretty much go pound sand. I let him know that it was only a $400.00 repair and understand that an accident can happen and I would meet them halfway as I wasn't looking for full compensation. Still the answer was. you can't prove we did anything so we are not taking responsibility. Just be aware that your dealing with corporate and there is no customer service what so ever at this location. read more

I rearranged my work schedule for a car inspection at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, June 19th. When I showed up they said no inspector was there and I needed to reschedule. They assured me the inspector would be there first thing Thursday morning. I set a new appointment for Thursday, June 20th at 9:00 am and once again had to rearrange my work schedule. When I showed up on Thursday they told me no inspector was available. They never bothered to call me in advance for either appointment so I wasted two days driving back and forth while missing work. They are rude and unprofessional. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

This is STS's remote warehouse that does wholesale business under the Banner Tire. They sell to local shops. However while they may stock more tires here, they can not escape the fact that being in a cut throat business they have sunken to the level of a Pep Boys, most "mechanics" have very little clue how to perform their tasks. Plus they love to push their no name, bo-bo, chinese cheap butt tires that are only a few $ less than a yokohama or continental brands ( good tires ), SO STEER CLEAR OF RUNWAY - ENDURO BRAND TIRES. Tried to post on google, but would not show. My experience with this Mavis has been disappointing : Really hate writing a bad review but I've had some really unpleasant dealings with this place. First let me note, the people are always pleasant and willing to help, but no matter how pleasant and helpful the people are, having to come back on repeat is irritating here's my timeline : 10/16/20 - realize I have a big ol nail in my tire and need some new one, call Mavis, speak to someone and they tell me they have the tires I want (pirelli p7s) in stock and I can bring my car by and they'll have it for me in a few hours. I drop the car off around 1pm. I call after 3 hours, they tell me it'll be done soon. 5:45 rolls around (they close at 6) and I call, they tell me it's almost done and they'll call shortly, 6:30 and they call to pick it up. Fine. They got it done, no worries. 10/17/20 - I wake up, go out in the morning to check out the tires and realize the rims are scratched around the whole perimeter. I drive back to the shop, show them, speak with a regional manager. He takes pictures and tells me he will get back to me after reviewing footage, etc. No problem. A week passes, I call, ask what the story is. They say they are still working on it but will get back to me in a few days A week passes, I call, speak to the regional manager again and he tells me that he thought his manager called me the other day to bring the car in, they will need to have it for a few days to get the wheels re powder - coated. I don't have a few days so I work with the guy, we come to an agreement that I'll get an alignment and a warranty in lieu of wheel repair. Cool. I take the car in to get the alignment and receipt saying I have a warranty. Come to today: 1/14/21 - realize I have a slow leak in my tire, I fill it thinking it's just the cold. Park at work, and over the course of the 12 hour day, I lose about 3-4 psi, definitely leaking. 1/15/21 - I refill the tire, unmount the wheel from the car, look it over, no punctures. I spray it with soapy water, and find the location of the leak (between the wheel and tire). I call Mavis, speak to Kevin, ask if they can fix it, and explain it should be u see warranty. He says "no problem, bring it down". I arrive at Mavis about 1:45pm go in, wait for 5 minutes because no one is at the front desk, eventually Dan, the manager comes out and I explain I just got off the phone with Kevin, needless to say, he has no idea who Kevin is. I give him my name, he pulls up the work order, I drop the wheel/tire off and go run errands. Thinking this will be an hour or two. 4 hours later, I call to check on the status, I'm told it will be done in 20 minutes. Ok. I wrap up what I'm doing, and swing down there (30 minutes after my call). They tell me it was the bead seal, not the rim or tire. Cool. They fixed it, and it'll be $21ish dollar. I explain the warranty situation, and Dan is cool, and let's me take the wheel. - I get home, look the wheel over and immediately one of the balancing weights falls off. And I notice they didn't give me my valve cap back! Now I have to go buy one. - to top it all off, on my way home, I received an email receipt from Mavis in Elmira NY for a Nick Basile's work. And I didn't get a receipt for my repair. Just so everyone knows, my work was done in Southampton PA. (Only 235 miles away) 1/16/21 - received a customer service survey for Nick Basile's work in Elmira NY (235 miles away) after calling that location last night explaining they had the wrong email. How disorganized can a company be? I don't know what Mavis is doing, but the lack of communication between the people taking the orders and doing them, combined with the lack of attention to detail is astoundingly bad. How do you scratch wheels when tires are supposed to be your thing? How does the balance weight just fall off? How do you not replace a valve cap? I'm not sure if it's just location, but man, it's frustrating read more

Just has a pretty awful experience there. I drop my car off Brigh and early on a Friday morning for an inspection and was told they would look at it that morning. They basically had my car two days before they touched it and I had to call repeatedly to check that they had even started the process of looking at it. And when they finally inspected it they couldn't even complete the inspection process without having me wait another two days, normally I would just chalk this up to them having a bad day but this is now the second bad experience I've had with the shop. I definitely would not be recommending them to a friend or family member and I'm going to start looking for a new place to take my car. read more

Awful awful experience. Had my car towed there due to a blowout.. Was told that I needed 4 tires because they all had 2/32 left on the tread.. I thought this impossible since the car has 20k miles on it. I asked them to only replace two and to plug my back tire, because of a nail. I got to the shop and ask the kid at the counter (great kid, wish I got his name) to give me a printout and he told me all tires were 5/32.... Scam artists....I asked the manager about this and he told me it was "business 101" to try and oversell... We also left there with the nail still in the tire that the manager said could not be plugged... Went to the dealer and they laughed and plugged the tire... Checked the other two tires and said the tread was great... read more

Scam company. Friends wife took car into Mavis for front brakes. After replacing front, customer was told she needed rear brakes as well. My friends wife had rear brakes installed a few months earlier at the dealership she had purchased her car at. So she declined at Mavis, and took her car back to dealership for an inspection. The dealership showed her where Mavis had filed her brakes down while her car was there and told her she needed new brakes. Reports have been filed with the Police and the DA's Office. STAY AWAY from this RIP OFF company. read more

Went here to get my flat tire fixed on my Acura and ended up with a damaged tire pressure sensor after picking up my car. In my opinion, whomever "fixed" my flat tire was inexperienced to be able to cause this additional damage. I ended up having to order an expensive part and go to a more experienced mechanic. If I could give zero stars, I would! I was recently in a bind needed to purchase new tires for my car to be put on that same day. I called this branch and they had two of the four I needed and so I went and purchased them. I purchased them over the counter, as they've incorrectly put my tires on before and I didn't want that to happen again. At the time of purchase, Howard insisted 4-5 times that as long as it was obvious the tires were still unused and the stickers were on them, I could return them with a full refund. He said they would take them back if I were to have any issues with where I was taking them. I wound up having an issue, so I drove straight back to return them and was back within the hour. Upon asking Howard to return them, he said he had to get his manager, Josh, because they don't usually return tires. He came back, without Josh and told me Josh would not approve the refund and I could not return the tires. I then asked to speak with Josh. I went outside to wait for him, and when Josh finally came out (10 or so minutes later), I explained to him the encounter I had with Howard when I made the purchase. He immediately told me that Howard would never say that and that he "knows better". After my insistence, Josh told me they would have to pull the tapes to verify and that he would be back. Twenty minutes later, I was still waiting outside when Josh replaced Howard at the front desk and began talking on the phone. When I went in, I could hear both sides of the conversation, and I found out it was the next higher up (regional manager or owner maybe?). The man on the phone is flat out refusing to pull the tapes. He said, "it doesn't matter what is on those tapes, we're not taking them back". At the end of the call, the manager advised Josh to tell me that I could either keep the tires and eat the cost, or that I could buy an additional two tires from them and they would put all four on for me for free (although as previously mentioned they've badly messed up putting on my tires before). He refused to pull the tapes despite discussing with Josh that this is not the first time Howard was has done this. So unfortunately I had to choose the third option they gave me, which was to, I kid you not, "deal with it and eat the cost". They said, "well, you'll have to buy tires again eventually". Exact words. On top of all that, when I called corporate, they said they put in a claim and sent emails out and I would be called within the next few days. It has now almost been a month and I have yet to receive a call or and email. Absolute disgrace of a service. I can see why they don't allow open reviews on Google. First theyafter we call for service they tell us to bring it in. Them just as we get home they call to say they can't work on it come back and pick it up. Days go by after it was supposed to be done and onlty after we inquire do they tell us they broke the axis on our car. I'm sure more was damaged. They lied to us on multiple ocassions from "Im the only one here" to "I'm watching your car being worked on now". "The parts here it will be installed tomorrow" to the next day "Its actually not here its coming from far away!". Not trustworthy, deceptive, incompetent, Destructive. There's no way they only damaged the axle without damaging other core parts of the vehicle... but I guess ill wait until I'm driving down the highway at 75mph and something breaks and gets me killed.
