Great work. I really love these guys. Every time we go there, they're always taking care of us. I highly recommend them. I work at a company down the street, and almost everybody uses them and has the same experience. There was even a time I had an issue with a light coming on, and they spent 15 minutes looking at it for me and literally told me it was just a gas cap and then didn't bill me. As a customer who carefully scheduled an inspection online and received multiple confirmations, I arrived prepared and on time--only to be told the appointment was at a different location and that inspections aren't done on Mondays. The front desk staff were dismissive, rude, and even made false claims by insisting I had booked the wrong location. They offered no apology or clear explanation. I initially questioned myself, but after reviewing my email confirmation, it was clear I had booked the correct location. This experience felt both disrespectful and frustrating, especially as someone who values her time and trusts the system. If this service cannot be reliably provided, it should be removed from the online scheduling system--or at the very least, customers should be proactively contacted if the system is malfunctioning--to prevent unnecessary confusion and inconvenience. I was very happy with their service the two times I was there. I will go back for my next inspection.

I ordered a set of tires but after they were installed, they performed an alignment check, without my permission, then told me that there was a serious problem in the right front that causes my alignment to be off. I told them I would take it to my tech tomorrow and have it checked and corrected. They said that if it wasn't done before I left, the warranty on the tires would be void! Very deceptive. Also, I know, because I worked in the service field before retirement, that Michelin does not require an alignment to be performed. By the way, the tires that were on the vehicle previously, had over 50,000 miles on them and showed absolutely no abnormal sign of wear. read more

I have been going to this shop for years and I've always had great experiences. The staff is friendly and they never pressure you to buy buy buy. I typically drop off my car and I always get a call with an update and an estimate as to when it will be done. It is refreshing to have honest representation and not just try and tell you your need things you actually don't. The employee explained when you need to balance your tires and why. Most places automatically make you take that when you rotate your tires and pad your bill. The Southampton location did not do that. They also said I didn't need synthetic oil since I change my oil every 5000 miles. Very good service. It's refreshing. read more

Took my car in for a regular oil change. I picked it up and thought everything was fine. Drove to the airport an hour away and started to hear scraping coming from the engine compartment. I pulled over and looked under the car and found that they ZIP TIED the plate covering the filter area back on. It is completely unprofessional, if you lost the screws then replace them. Now that plate is trashed, double check the work they provide because they might not know what they are doing. read more

Service is adequate, but wait times for customers with scheduled appointments are unacceptable. Shop opened at 9am. Had an appointment for 9:00 am to change pre-mounted tires. Arrived there at 8:59. Three people without appointments were there, apparently just before opening, who were taken before I was, resulting in an unreasonable wait time of over 90 minutes before my car was pulled into a bay, for what amounted to a 15 minute task. This was probably exacerbated by having inadequate staffing. What's the point of having an appointment - it's virtually meaningless? Imagine having a dinner reservation at 7pm, arriving there on time, and being told your table was given away to someone without a reservation who arrived 5 minutes earlier! If you use this company, I would suggest getting there 15 minutes before opening, and you will likely get taken first. Show up after other people and you will have a long wait - if you do this and want to wait - bring work with you! read more

Worst customer service ever! I scheduled an appointment for 10 am for a state inspection and my car was still in the same parking spot at 2:45 pm! Why schedule an appointment if they don't honor it? I informed the service manager that I would be back to pick it up at noon, realizing that a state inspection should NOT take 2 hours to complete! When I showed up at 2:45pm and asked if my car was done, the service manager said it was next in line! I said give me my keys with some creative adjectives and I will take my business somewhere else! Will never shop here again. I returned to Mavis with my NTB road hazard purchase in hand. Only 10,000 miles on my 90,000 mile tires. The "tire expert" there told me that one tire was not repairable. His recommendation was to replace the damaged tire with an unmatched tire. I questioned this and left to go find more information on the internet and at rival stores. I reviewed his suggestion on the internet and with other tire experts. All other recommendations were to at least replace the two tires on the same axial with the same tire, not two different tires. The auto maker suggests replacing both tires as well. I really question about the expertise of their staff. Will never shop there again. They only have an interest in making money and were not concerned for my welfare. read more

Needed 2 new tires. Called and got an appt for 12noon.did research on their website and they didnt offer me any of the tires that were listed as in stock on the website. Suggested i needed a more expensive comparable tire to the ones i already had. When done told me they would check for free to see how my alignment was. From my results told me i needed an alignment so my tires would last. It was on sale so i agreed. It took them less than 1/2 hour to do the alignment. All research online says average time is 1 hour. I had a great experience here today! I had a nail in my tire so I came in at around 9:30am. They said it might be 90+ minutes which was fine. There's a Dunkin' Donuts right across the street (quite the bonus IMO!) so I just went there and did some work. 45 minutes later they called to tell me my car was ready. I made an appointment to drop my car off on Saturday. I asked the man behind the counter to check to see if the tires I needed were in stock. He said don't worry we always do that before we take the car back. I waited all day Saturday. they didn't get to my car. I waited all day Sunday--still no call. I called them at 4 pm and was told my car was being taken back next. I got a ride to the place since they close at 5 and on the way I got a call saying they didn't have tires to fit my car in stock. they could prevail order them for Thursday. when I got there my car was up on a rack with all the tires off. why would they remove tires without checking to see if they had replacements? in short I waited all weekend for nothing. Worse than nothing because the tires they threw back on are out of alignment and the car drives miserably. Never again. read more

"Making good" on that whole debacle last year was a promise of a free oil change instead of repaying what they overcharged me. Seemed easy and fair so I said "sure". So I took my car in last week to redeem this "free oil change". Turns out that actually means "pay full price for oil, labor, and disposal and we'll give you $10 credit". As a woman, I can say we hate going to do "car things." When I was driving along and felt my tire go, I cruised right into STS without an appointment. The man who helped me, I believe his name was George, was as accommodating as could be. I was expecting a $200 bill honestly. However, he explained that they could probably patch it. Not pleased. Used to love it when it was just STS. They decided to try to fail me for the state inspection on the notion of things that do not pertain to a checklist of things that the mechanic legally abides by. They were absolute jerks the entire way up from Billy the mechanic, to Steve the actual owner, to the regional manager. The state told me that for the reasons listed that I should not have failed. They once again tried telling me over and over that I was wrong etc etc. Low and behold, once the state told them that they were in-fact, wrongly failing me, they changed their tune real quick trying to save face. Making excuses for why this and that happened when in reality it was just a mechanic not following the book and failing for things that do not legally fail an inspection. It's sad that I can't go here ever again, but the experience definitely opened my eyes. read more
