The nursery is beautiful, with a wide variety of Talavera pots, fountains, statutes, and beautiful plants. Everything is thoughtfully organized, making it easy to browse and find exactly what you are looking for. One of our favorite parts of the visit was their variety of Talavera pots. They add such a beautiful artistic touch and really complement any yard perfectly. What really made my visit stand out, though, was Yollie's help. She was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. She took the time to answer all our questions, offered help, and made sure we left feeling confident about our purchase. Her friendly and approachable attitude made the whole experience enjoyable. If you are looking for quality plants, stunning Talavera pottery, and exceptional customer service, Casa Planta Nursery is it.

But their plants and flowers are all beautifully displayed and in a healthy state. Every once in a while they gave massive sales but for only a select few plants. I can't forget to acknowledge the workers. All so knowledgeable and friendly.

The founders of this privately held company are staunchly Christian, Hobby Lobby isn't open on Sundays to allow their employees time for church and family, the company has been accused of financially supporting anti-LGBT causes and issues, and its stores being void of items pertaining to other faiths or religions aside from Christianity. This is the first time I've been to one of their stores, and I came here primarily because they were advertising a 40% off sale for a specific item I was looking for. This Hobby Lobby location is large, and quite frankly I think I spent nearly an hour just walking up and down the aisles and perusing all they had for sale. It's kind of akin to Michael's, with a bit of JoAnn Fabrics and even an amount of Home Goods sprinkled in. This store carries an array of merchandise from seasonal items to fabrics to lots of stuff for hobbyists to home decor. I ended up finding some fabric I needed and a cheery, outgoing woman was there to cut it to length for me and give me a hand-written charge slip to give the folks when I was ready to check out and pay. While it's obvious who this company is owned by after seeing the the amount of Christian items for sale, the church hymns playing in the store (I recognized "A Closer Walk With Thee" playing in the background at one point while I was shopping) and even some decor items that obviously cater to a specific segment of the population (see posted photos), I ended up buying a few items I found here. My primary critical comments would be that they didn't have enough checkout lines open for the amount of people who were lined up to pay. Also, as other reviewers have mentioned, Hobby Lobby tends to offer sales fairly often, but those 40% off "sales" seem to reduce the prices marked on the various items in this store down to the amount they should normally cost in reality.

Now I was not expecting a full refund since I know it had been awhile since the purchase. I was told that since it was past 90 days, they would not be able to even give me a store credit even with my proof of purchase. Interesting as at Home Depot, they are willing to provide at least a store credit if you have your receipt and the product is still in stock and available. I am not knocking the return desk employee as she was great and was doing her job. This is more a knock of Lowe's corporate and their guidelines. Not a big deal but if you have a receipt and the product is available and can be sold again, why not provide a refund. I think I will stick to Home Depot going forward as they seem to be a little more flexible on this front. Wishing everyone a great day.

The delivery guys didn't have the right clamp for the hose and said they would connect it with duct tape. Warning bells should've have gone off. But if my experience can save you then I guess something good would come out of it. First time we used the drier the hose disconnected. We called immediately and they scheduled the service call. So we're home and wait and wait. Turns out Claudia at the warehouse 3341 canceled the call and decided she would send the same guys out. She didn't tell anyone, not even the guys because no one showed up. HOURS on with customer service in 3 phone calls. I called the delivery guys directly from the number they called me. They have the day off so don't know what Claudia did with our service call. Finally get it rescheduled for another day. The agent transferred me to the warehouse 3341 to ensure they have the missing part in time for tomorrow's delivery. Spoke with Briana who shouldn't deal with customers, tell me not to worry because her supervisor CLAUDIA would take care of it. At the end of my 59 minute call I get transferred to their survey which is in a loop and I cant tell them how lousy they are.

They have everything from flowered last two herbs too gorgeous orchids. The staff is very attentive and will take you around in their cart if you're looking for anything specific. Their prices are fair and their mulch is very well priced. This last time we went, I noticed that they have brought in an enormous selection of beautiful decorative pots. I did not check the prices for these pots but will be asking the next time that I visit. If you are looking for a neighborhood garden store that is well stocked, well priced and has good customer service I highly recommend this one. I will be visiting again soon. My husband and I always try to support local businesses versus the big chain stores when it comes to buying plants, mulch, decorative pots etc.

This nursery has been incredibly disappointing, as we've had a series of negative experiences…read morethere. Our most recent visit was particularly frustrating. We walked in prepared to spend thousands of dollars on a selection of exclusive pots and other gardening plants. We intended to enhance our garden significantly, and we were genuinely excited about our purchases. However, when we approached the owner to request a discount, we received an unfriendly response. Without any attempt at negotiation, he simply stated, "No," and then suggested that we should put the entire amount on our credit card and not worry about it. This lack of willingness to engage in a conversation was quite disheartening. I explained to him that we were just shy of being able to afford the full order, as we had a specific number of pots in mind. Instead of trying to accommodate our needs or explore alternative options, he launched into a lengthy monologue about the costs he incurs for his items. It felt more like a one-sided lecture than a discussion meant to foster a positive customer experience. In the end, we left the nursery without making any purchases, which was extremely disappointing. The owner lost a potential sale of thousands of dollars that day because he couldn't understand customer service or engage meaningfully with clients. This incident is not an isolated case. On several previous visits, I've gone to the nursery with my mother to ask questions or seek assistance, only to be ignored while the owner remained occupied on the phone. It's frustrating to feel overlooked and unimportant when you've taken the time to visit a business. We often found ourselves walking out without the help we needed, and it left us feeling undervalued as customers. Overall, this nursery seems to operate more like a shell company than a customer-focused business. I can't understand why any establishment would refuse to engage with potential customers, especially when there is clearly an opportunity to make a sale. Given our experiences, I strongly advise against visiting this nursery. The owner exhibits a concerning lack of professionalism, and you might find yourself feeling taken advantage of and mistreated, just as we did.

After reading great reviews, I decided to pay Richard Lyons Nursery a visit and was glad I did. The property is a little tricky to find and from the street doesn't look that big, but once you enter, you will see the outside looks are deceiving. This place is packed with all sorts of ornamentals, fruit trees and other types of plants. After choosing several plants and having the sales ticket written up, I was very pleasantly surprised to see that it was only $40. Had I gone to another place in Kendall or a major retailer, I would have paid much more. I will definitely be back for more.

We first discovered Lyons in our search for rare Atala butterflies to augment the population at our house... the folks at Montgomery botanical center had recently brought a population of Atala caterpillars to feed on Lyons sizable coontie selection. We were lucky to get a coontie with freshly laid eggs... that was in late September, and they emerged from their cocoons today (late October). They have a wonderful selection of butterfly larval and nectar plants. They have both local and exotic plants also including bamboo, heliconia, and more. When you arrive, park a short way in... a siren will announce your presence, and you'll soon be met by a guide in a golf cart. We've been four times so far, and each time we go we've discovered a new area, and new plants. As you wander around, make sure you look at the amazing mature specimens that dot the property.... such an amazing variety... it rivals a botanical garden!
