The company started work at my home in Key Biscayne. They sent me a very expensive invoice for the first phase of the work and never completed the second phase, leaving my garden only partially irrigated. They also sent a second invoice that was never pre-approved. I do not recommend using this service. read more

Greenstar previously had done good work for me which is reflected in an earlier review. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to delete or edit that review. My most recent interaction has been a disaster. After several weeks of trying to set up an appointment, they finally showed up. Peter Masi, the owner, gives me a price for a "perfect" (his word) system. The price is pretty steep but I gave the okay to proceed. Then Masi comes back and wants more money than previously quoted. The money was said to be to repair an obvious defect that Masi saw, or should have seen, before the original quote and included in it. I told him I would honor his original commitment for a "perfect" system but not for additional repairs. He then sends me a bill for what little work had been done - and not done well - and hounds me for payment. When someone gets you in the door of the business by promising you something certain for a price certain and then comes back and demands more to complete what was originally promised that's very wrong. Buyer beware! read more

We've been using Peter and his team at Greenstar for 6 years now without any issues. They've been fantastic. They're very responsive when we have an irrigation issue and proactive when they find a problem and offer solutions. They don't oversell and ensure you have what you need to irrigate things adequately. I highly recommend Peter and the Greenstar team. read more

Unlike the glowing review I left in July 2023 I have been told by Peter Masi to look for another company for repairs. I paid 200.00 for quarterly maintenance .. In August I contacted Peter and asked where is the maintenance since I had only 1 visit in 8 months! The reply was "maybe in a week and you can carry a credit into next year". I asked for a refund and received 150.00 to cover the 3 trips I did not receive! This is beyond unprofessional Look for another company read more

I called Greenstar because my sprinkler system needed repairing. Peter came to my house and went through the entire system. He was prompt, polite, experienced and very easy to work with. He repaired the sprinklers and made adjustments to my existing system. I will use him again in the future. read more

Peter is a very unprofessional person with hidden charges that made the final price too expensive. He only had to replace the pump because it was not working and for no real reason he added several new accompanying that were working correctly and did not need replacement. He offered to modernize my 220 Intermatic Timer and replaced it with an identical but new one. He tried to charge me for two extra hours of work because all zones would be fully pressurized and this was in the contract. Very rude; When I tried to discuss disagreements with him, he used offensive words. We made several efforts to get him to come back to verify the work and he never came back. In summary; I paid a lot of money and I still haven't finished the job. read more

This is the second time I have used Greenstar and to be honest I do not think I will use any other sprinkler company but them! They come when needed and on time and do a great job! read more

I don't typically do reviews when people simply send me something as expected. However, when I experienced such stellar customer service that Greenstar provided, I think anyone considering irrigation/landscaping should look no further. The owner, Peter Masi and his team were professional, organized, timely and understand the importance of quality. I have every confidence that you will also be as impressed as I was. read more

Peter is very responsible, punctual and knowledgeable. His employee Mike is very efficient and pleasant to work with. I was told I had to clean my well by another company, called Peter's company because of its rating, and just by phone he told me I did not have to. He came same day to diagnose the problem and next day sharp at 8:A.M. Mike was at my house, he fixed the problem. If I could give this company a 10 I would. Thanks Peter and Mike, from now on they will be the ones to take care of my sprinkler. read more

I wanted to be sure and write this review and express my gratitude for finding this company which deserves more than 5 stars. Over many years and many different irrigation companies I have had a lot of different challenges finding a company that not only fit our needs but did a great job and was professional and reliable. My husband and I were so fed up with trying to deal with the all the no-shows, poor quality of workmanship, etc that I finally went on Angie's list when we realized we had a serious problem with our irrigation system and water was not getting to many areas of the property. We have a lot of landscaping and this was a major problem. I looked through all the reviews and found Greenstar and the owner, Peter Masi and crew are amazing, professional and have done such a good job in not only finding all the problems with the system that were causing the water issues and then some! Our grass and landscaping have never looked better. We also signed up on their very reasonable maintenance program and that is working out perfectly. We could not be more grateful to have found a great company. I highly recommend Greenstar to anyone looking for the best and most professional, reliable company they could find. Mike is a great team player and everyone works hard getting the job done! read more

As soon as my new lanscaping was completed by another provider, I needed irrigation work done to repair or replace my 17 year old non-functioning sprinkler timer, and to move or add sprinkler heads to cover watering my new plants. I called Greenstar and owner, Peter Masi, came out to see the yard and give me an estimate within a day or two. We found that the landscaper had planted on top of some of the old sprinkler heads, and broke one line under the bushes that were removed and planted with replacement plants. It was a bigger job than I thought when I called. However, I am investing in my yard and wanted to have the sprinkler help me support that, so doing it right was a priority for me. The team, led by Will, who did the work within a few days of the estimate was very professional, explained everything, carefully moved the new plants, the stones, the mulch, etc. so that they could repair the broken line and put in new heads in just the right places. Everything was replaced neatly and looked as pretty as when the landscaper left. One area near my front walkway had no existing sprinkler line and they suggested drip line that goes in the ground to water there. However, it required moving and then replacing the pavers for my walkway in order to put it in and tie to the existing sprinkler line. They did a great job. I would never know that they did that if I had not seen it. All of the sprinkler heads water the grass and plants and not the pavement or neighbor's yards. The type of head is appropriate for the use and will help conserve water but still provide the proper irrigation. The only hitch was when an improperly buried and marked cable line was cut by them because they thought is was sprinkler line. As soon as it happened, Will knocked on the door to let me know. I was able to get the cable company out to fix it the same day. The cable company (Comcast) indicated that it was the wrong color and buried too shallow and was thus very easy to mistake for sprinkler system line. Not everything goes smoothly in any project, but knowing what was going on without delay made this just a ripple and not a big impact. i appreciate the professionalism involved in keeping me informed of everything. The team set the sprinkler timer up for me on the right watering days and let me know that after my plants are established that I should adjust it in the way they described. I'm satisfied with the job and would recommend them. read more

He did what he said he would. Checked & tuned up sprinkler heads and gave me an estimate for repairing the pump.

The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because the girl that answered the phone when I called was so nice. She set up an appointment for me and even emailed me to let me know the guy coming out to my place would be late. Little did I know he would be 2 hours late, arriving at 7 on a Saturday night... And when he did arrive he was rude, and waaaaaay over quoted me. I didn't mind much because I knew my landlord was going to pay for it, but come on. 150 for trimming some hedges? No way. In any case though, what really bothered me was the fact that he SHOOK MY HAND and told me he'd send someone over to my place in the next couple of days to provide me with the service I asked for. No one ever showed up, or called me to make a follow up appointment. I have no respect for a man who can look me in the eye and give me his word, and then never follow up with me. P.s I got someone to do it for 50 bucks about a week later. Way to try and charge me 100 bucks over the price that is fair. read more

This company is excellent. They arrive on time, the job was done great, they replaced my old sprinkler system, the guys were super!!! Peter came back a few days after job was completed, checked everything out, and sent the guys back today to replace my timer for the system!!! what a nice surprise ;) Highly recommend this company and Mr Peter Masi knows his irrigation!!!... read more

Don't use this company. They don't read or hear there messages and when they finally call/text you they get your name wrong and all the information you provided them. Very frustrating having to repeat what you just finished emailing them. The owner, Peter, finally showed up on Saturday. He walked around the yard for about 20 minutes taking mental notes and left, it was about to rain. The office manager calls three days later stating they need to come back out. Scheduled the appointment for Thursday, Peter failed to show up. A PATTERN IS STARTING TO DEVELOP. I afforded them one more chance when the officer manager texted me again. I told them okay next Thursday I will be available. Once again they showed their incompetence and failed to show or call. read more

This place is a joke., Peter the owner is rude and incompetent . The price he originally gave me was reasonable. Upon charging me, he inflated the price. What a rip off!! My advice stay away and find another landscaping company. I would of gave him no stars for this review but yelp requires at least one. Horrible service. read more

Needed to fix the old sprinkler system, Peter and Co did a great job ! On time, no nonsense , easygoing attitude. Clear communication, excellent quality! read more

i bought the tuneup special and stayed for the whole irrigation/resodding process! Peter knows his stuff, is responsive and helpful in teaching a rookie like me how to do what needs to be done. Def. recommend. Came to inspect remnants of existing sprinkler system; quickly I decided that I liked Will's expertise (although he's no longer w/the company) and that it was time to take the plunge on getting a proper functional sprinkler system going, plus re-sod after a year of home repairs. Peter came out to inspect, evaluate, determine what sod would work vs. what I was asking for, and figure out the right layout. Has been working like a charm ever since. And on a routine post-work inspection, he determined that my puppy had chewed to death 2 of the sprinkler heads, he replaced them right away rather than waiting for a second visit. read more

After waiting a few days for the return of my call, a very kind lady informs me that they are not even going to do an inspection of the place to quote it because they do not work for less than $ 5000. It is unfortunate that they do not indicate this in their advertising. Currently I have obtained other estimates for the work I need for values between $ 6500 and $ 8000. Very disappointed with these people, I do not think their time is worth more than mine. read more

I am the service manager for an HVAC contractor here in Miami-Dade. I have never given any one or company a bad review but feel that I have to let consumers know and at the same time vent my frustration. I called this company 3 weeks ago for an estimate to have my sprinkler system brought up to date. Owner came out to see the scope of work, I was told that he would send me the estimate within the next 2 days. Well as I previously said is been three weeks, and multiple calls still no estimate. " I HIGHLY ADVICE" that if you are in need of any type of garden or sprinkler work, to stay away from this contractor. You are bound to have a very bad experience. If things start this way, for what ever reason, it is bound to be a bad experience. At least have the decency to call the customer back and tell them you will not be taking the job. Thank you for your time and hope this helps you to make a wise decision as to where you spend your money. read more
