The rental company's road side service called Red's. What a great choice. Despite the rental company's overall confusion about the existence of a spare tire (we finally checked, there wasn't), Red's stayed committed to helping. Finally early in the evening Red's towed the rental and returned ~11:30PM with a replacement, a process that took them several hours. All the while they remained in good spirits and did follow through on their committment to not strand us without a car. If we lived here Red's would be my go to car guy.

I needed my tire changed after a minor accident on the NYS Thruway. We called the State Police --…read morethe officers said that our tire was flat and called Hart Towing to come change the tire. When the tow truck got there, the driver said that he couldn't change the tire because the spare was soft -- I felt the spare and it was not soft. He said he would have to tow us. We were westbound on the thruway just east of the Geneva exit. The driver said that he couldn't take us to a repair shop that was just off the thruway in Geneva. He had me drive my car onto his tow truck and my 2 sisters and I rode in my car on the tow truck to a shop that was several miles in the other direction. The workers at the shop changed the tire and told us that the spare tire was not soft. In other words, the driver could have changed the tire and we would have been on our way. Instead, he lied to us and had us ride in our car on the tow truck (which I was told later is illegal) while he did a u-turn and took us several miles in the wrong direction.

My wife and I will never use Hart Towing Service again, and we will be sure tell others about this unfair business practice. I was towed from a "Business Patrons, 1 hour" section on a Saturday night. Businesses were closed…read more(except for the pizza spot), very few cars in the lot. I went back out after 1.5 hours to get a bag and check on my car, it was gone. I told the dispatcher I had a sound check for a show, the parking garage nearby is closed, businesses were mostly closed and no one was in the lot, and had returned to check on it it -- he initially felt bad but then became rude, stating it was $425 and wouldn't budge on price. Keep in mind, city tows are $275. I got there after my show at 12:30am -- just a truck sitting at the gate, no light, no office. The kid there said he was just about to leave. I asked for a receipt by text and never received a response. I also asked for the contract between the property management co and Kosiken's, no response. They could have written a ticket or put a boot on. This is legal theft & coercion.
